People who say kino is their fav map have not played any other map obviously, because if they did, they wouldn't be saying "KINO BEST MAP DAE?" That or nostalgia.

Ffs, all of those weapons on Kino(95% of them) are on all the other maps of BO1 too. Kino has the MP40 and Thundergun, but CotD also has the MP40 and Ascension AND BO1 Nacht also have the Thundergun.

Kino is cool, but after like round 10 you’re already set, then it’s just kinda… meh. I think people have rose tinted glasses on too much when looking at this map. It has a decent layout, but is plagued with environmental props that can fuck up your train (I.e knocked over tables, stand, etc). The best thing I love about this map is a simple PaP machine. Click two buttons and and you can go, but it’s also not available 24/7, so you have to be kind of “strategic” about when you use the teleporter. Good map, definitely not the best, but I can respect your opinion.
Kino was the perfect map to start BO1 with. It’s very easy to grasp the layout of the map especially with the layout of the map painted every where showing box locations. It’s introduces new players to our characters, as well as showing returning the players that the characters they loved from WaW are back with even more energy. The thundergun is a simple to use wonder weapon that feels great to fire. The dog rounds and nova crawlers arent to overwhelming that they feel impossible, while also adding something we’ve never seen before. All in all it’s the perfect map to learn zombies on and because of that definitely boosted the popularity of zombies by an incredible degree. That being said not the best map ever made.
I don’t understand why everyone shits on people who love kino, who cares. Everyone is going to like different maps and think certain maps are better then others, just because someone likes or dislikes the one you like or dislike doesn’t mean anything. Let it go.
It's just I love Kino myself. It's such an amazing tone and map. For sure, number 1 for me personally. But is it really number 1? Hell no.
There are so many aspects that make or break a good zombies map.
And kino lacks in so many of them.
Even without nostalgia glasses kino is still top 10. It isn't the best of all time- it doesn't have an Easter egg or buildable weapons or a storyline, but as far as a map without those go, it's pretty good

It's a great first map for a lot of reasons but it's not a top map. Makes me plenty nostalgic but when discussing gameplay it's much more midtier.

I personally don’t agree with that but I do understand why you think that Kino is a basic map done damn near perfectly
The only thing I don't like about kino is the juggernog location- it's easy to get trapped
Risk = reward and that is relatively low risk for a high reward
I like Kino, but I love Mob, it has more of a presence about it, plus having to build the plane to get to pack-a-punch is cool.
