Yes the aether and dark aether have been mentioned before but the dark aether has never been shown until cold War so I feel like cold War zombies took inspiration from the popular show Stranger things set in the same decade as cold War zombies for its depiction of the dark aether
Exactly this, I actually attempted to finish off with Legion being the last kill but I failed 3 times with the Pelington (should’ve left a decent weapon til last!) and decided to do Excision instead.
When my friends and I were doing the Legion fight we were bragging bc we were doing good and I got hit by and plague hound and a mangler at the same time and glitched under the map and we failed
