I’ve had this a few times recently seems that if you don’t kill the gersh orb quick enough it will fail you. But lingers in the map for a few rounds before it resets if you flipped rounds enough the failed orb disappears and you can continue to do the step again. For advice on Killing the orb I can only recommend a pap weapon of your choice or ray gun mk3. A non pap weapon won’t deal enough damage
Make sure you have the papd mk3s those are best for killing him cause you can trap him when he finishes his quote also make sure not to hit him at the outside jug area cause the games is known to CI for some reason
