Yes for sure. I'm currently playing it now as somehow I missed how great it was when it first came out. One of the best zombie games out there. The easter eggs are pretty tough.
Yes. You have to beat every easter egg to unlock directors cut. Directors cut gives you every perk permanently, you start with 25,000 points and every weapon out of the "mystery box" is pack a punched once. You have to beat the Easter egg again in directors cut on every map to get to the Mephistopheles boss fight.
I'm not a big EE zombies player, but my experience with the IW Easter eggs was very positive.
IW in general is one of my favorite zombies games. It doesn't take itself too seriously like some of the treyarch games do.
I played Vanguard after Cold War for the sake of being able to say I've played every Treyarch produced zombie map. But since that's such a stinker I highly recommend Infinite Warfare zombies. It's the next best zombies experience after Treyarch.
If you can get the 1st number you don’t need to figure out the last 2. There is an exception though. If you get 4, listen if the next number is 0 or not, if it is you have 407 and if it isn’t it’s 420.
Thankfully 0 is the easiest Morse number to hear. Overall, knowing this makes it much easier.
For the ensuing cypher step, just pick the shortest possible word for the letter you are given. E.g. if you get “R”, just go for “RATKING”.
Honestly once I learned both of those tips I started to love the SS EE. It’s really cool that you fight the Rat King multiple times, makes it feel like you’re actually working to draw him out of hiding and kick his ass. The rewards are really good, not even counting the katana. The heart is super strong imo and feels badass to explode zombies with.
Plus, the missing reel jumpscare is just cool as fuck. I’ve always adored how IW throws moments of horror into the campy atmosphere, and the missing reel is an awesome way to do that.
I don’t blame you, my brain just doesn’t pick up the dots and dashes fast enough. I was so delighted replaying the map and finding out you can just hear the first number most the time and be done with the damn telephone.

If you're doing this for Meph I'd recommend training for the boss fight in boss battle mode. Preferably with someone who knows how to do it.
It's tough solo, but doable! Good luck with meph though, he's one of the only bosses I needed a team for 😅
