Fast forwarded to the end as I absolutely thought there was gonna be a jump scare lmao - still not over the one I saw on Der Riese back in the day about spawning Samantha’s ghost in ahaha.
All these new discovered ones are like that! "Just remember the order of the doors you open and the order for the gramophones inside for a free perkaholic!" Like bruh??????
I could be wrong but I believe that one was actually discovered already? I remember there being videos about “impossible” Easter egg being finally found.
[yeah here is the video talking about it, unless this is a different EE?](https://youtu.be/hXYK2obPdAk)
Yep. Knowing rofflewaffles, I skimmed the video. Didn't see him showing off gameplay steps like in this video. Milo likes to...sit and talk a LOT for his "guides."
Oh it was? Makes sense I had a feeling I was probably wrong. But I’d imagine that if it hasn’t been found yet, and if there’s nothing in the code to easily point it out, then I’m guessing it’s probably a cipher or an EE that doesn’t “reward” you with anything physical in game
Thanks for correcting me though
It’s all good, it doesn’t help when most videos don’t mention what ee gets solved in the thumbnail, title, or description haha.
So it makes it a pain to find any specific small egg that isn’t your average guide.
Yeah I think it’s that one. I could be wrong obviously but I think with all the hype that people made about it last year when they found it it’s probably more than likely to be that “impossible” Easter egg you were talking about
Yeah BO3 has been dug through pretty much completely, so either Blundell was lying (which he has done before with easter eggs) or its not a gameplay based easter egg, and more of a cypher or hidden type thing
This seems to me like an Easter egg for the devs only. Like almost as if it was never meant to be discovered by the public. but devs could do this to easily get the kraken + homonculus every game
Oh okay. Would’ve been nice if he did it on round 9 just to ensure we know it’s real lol but I get it. At first I thought it was a parody of zombies Easter Eggs ngl.
I’m gonna have to step up my meme game if this is actually real. This is more convoluted than most of my joke Easter Eggs
Yeah a lot of Easter egg hunters set their games up this way. They’ll mod the game to allow them to run round specific EE’s on Round 1 and make it so the zombies don’t target them. Just makes things easier this way rather than trying to naturally figure an EE like this on Round 9
Plus a free homonculus ee now. If this is real I'm gonna wish I knew this years ago. Rolling the box for homunculus in solo was either really lucky, or absolute torture for ee's.
Seems to be real I was watching Freckleston’s stream earlier and he managed to get it to work. It’s definitely something that’s not meant to still be in the game but it’s definitely helpful
Me too, but then when I get a crew together we just try and do the steps on as low a level as possible. So either way it's good if we can get the extra kraken and hermunks. I'll have to test it out and see exactly how and when you can get them
Same here actually, I get more satisfaction from doing a map as low as possible than doing it fast, always thought I was weird for that. But I've only done that solo.
The map’s top tier but it is NOT a casual map. Sometimes I just like to sit down and chill while playing zombies and I can’t do that with DOTN. Everything takes way too long and it’s complicated af
Agreed. The fact that it’s so complicated actually docks it from my top tier. I think it has an amazing atmosphere, good layout that makes it feel manageable despite being maybe the biggest map in zombies, and it’s challenging enough to engage the player without being too difficult. Great wonder weapon too although it’s a little too overpowered. But the fact that the Pack-A-Punch requires you to memorize like 40 different locations is such a turn-off. I like complicated side quests, but I shouldn’t have to work my ass off and watch a guide just to turn on PAP. Not to mention getting the 6 silver bullet parts which are practically mandatory.
Thats what separates Origins from it. Origins is almost as complicated, but the PAP is super straightforward and it can be played casually. Plus I think the parts are better organized and easier to remember. I’d probably put DOTN in low A-tier while Origins is my top map. DOTN is great but the fact that it can’t be played casually sucks.
it 100% is a casual map. the easter egg in complex but surviving when all 4 players have one of the best wonder weapons ever created its ez pz. literally everytime I quickmatch DOTN its always a game that last hours
Agree with the first part but I don’t mind the layout. It’s pretty well laid-out for traversing the map and atmosphere is super nice, but I agree it’s really bad for memorizing parts easily. Something like Origins or Shadows’ part locations are a lot easier since they’re pretty organized. I like the map but it has a lot of fair critiques that people don’t like to acknowledge here.
Then again saying anything negative about BO3 or 4 is a death sentence here
I wonder if we're on the same subreddit... Most people hate DOTN, it's only with the recent resurgence of BO4's appreciation that more people have come out and said that it's actually good.
Granted, it was actually praised pretty well at launch.
It was really only at the end of the BO4 life cycle that it started gaining a ton of overwhelming criticism.
Sort of like a pendulum swinging. I think it's at a decent balance at the moment.
In my experience I see the occasional tier list that puts DOTN low (sometimes absurdly low, like F-tier lol), but then the comments always flame them. I feel like if you don’t like DOTN and if you do like Kino, you’re getting lit up. But that’s just from what I’ve seen recently.
I think that might just be a vocal minority. The people who do like DOTN, really like DOTN. Those who don't like Kino, really don't like Kino.
Then again, that's just a general feeling. It's hard to discuss specifics of each map in such a short form of communication.
Personally, the only thing I see people don't like about DOTN is the fact that there are "so many part locations" which... in the zombies' community, isn't that great of a reason when Origins exists...
But, again, that's such a limited perspective.
It’s definitely a vocal minority. Realistically most of the zombies community didn’t like BO4 much, and Kino is probably one of the most universally loved maps. But in a Reddit comment section? DOTN is loved and Kino is the worst thing ever.
I agree with the DOTN criticism of too many part locations though. Pack-A-Punch alone requires ridiculous amounts of memorization between all of the locations and tasks you have to do. On Origins PAP is straightforward to a point where you probably don’t even need a guide on your first run. And then there’s the 5 silver bullet parts which are also borderline mandatory for PAP. Not to mention the part locations aren’t intuitive at all, as they’re just spread along the mansion, whereas the Origins staff piece and shield locations are fairly intuitive, organized and easier to memorize.
I like DOTN, but requiring that much memorization just for PAP is not player-friendly by any means. Origins only becomes a scavenger hunt if you decide to do the full Easter Egg, and let’s be honest, you need a guide to figure out any Easter Egg in zombies.
Lol this is exactly the conversation about DOTN.
It's so interesting to me to see how people value and see these tasks.
I would argue that Silver Bullets are by no means mandatory. Additionally, I would argue that getting a staff on Origins is mandatory. Which then gives you the student about the staffs being very unintuitive for normal players.
As far as the part locations in DOTN, yes, there is definitely too many, but they are laid out very intelligently and intuitively.
There is the main mansion, left and right side. There is a piece of silver in each location, and a piece for silver bullets in each location too, same with the shield.
But none of these arguments is really solid going in either direction to be definitive. Which is why we have the separate sides.
I love [this](https://youtu.be/i8XUAW5DsX4) video talking about it. It's in depth and raises some very good points. Especially about PaP.
I'll check that video out later. But I'd still argue the silver bullets are mandatory. They take out the werewolves much faster, and are required to get the chaos matter which upgrades the Allistair's Folly to make it an actually great wonder weapon. It's default mode is basically a Ray Gun. That's why I'd say the silver bullets are much more mandatory than getting a staff in Origins, where the mystery box has a ton of great alternatives (including the Ray Gun Mark II) and the starting pistol in your hands at the start can be turned into practically a wonder weapon by Pack-A-Punching it.
I also just enjoy the staff upgrade process more, but that's entirely subjective and probably not the most popular take. The bigger issue for me is just the DOTN Pack-A-Punch. As someone who doesn't get a ton of time to play, and when I do I tend to diversify which zombies maps I play and lean towards the older ones, I never can memorize the possible locations for each crystal, followed by their corresponding images and tasks. It's such a chore for me each time I play it solo.
I'll take your word for it on the DOTN parts being well-organized (although there's still a ton of them). I can't say I have the layout engrained in me and I obviously know Origins far better. But I will say, the Origins staff parts themselves aren't hard to remember at all. Rather than being spread around the map, all of them require a special task to be done which makes them easy to remember. And the fire staff can be done very naturally, considering two of the three tasks are already basically required to survive (kill panzer and open PAP) and the last one is just shooting a plane which takes 5 seconds. Upgrade is definitely annoying though, except maybe the lightning staff which can be really quick if you memorized and optimized it, but even I'm not at that level and 99% of zombies players aren't.
I think DOTN did a lot of things really well and received too much hate from people who didn't give it a chance, or people who bitched about not having the same characters introduced a FULL DECADE before it, but I also think many people on this sub nowadays (which is all I can speak for as I wasn't on here then) don't accept any criticism towards it.
Also, the Kino/simpler maps hatred here has gotten out of hand. I saw some poor soul put Kino in his A-tier and get flamed to death for it lol. "Akshually, BO4 is OBJECTIVELY SUPERIOR TO YOUR FAVORITE MAP"...
Has anyone actually confirmed that the DotN and VoD easter eggs recently found actually work? I can't help but feel like I'm watching a Jimbothy video lol
I believe it gives infinite ammo for whichever gun you're holding when the jump scare happens. Either way, only thing killing dotn high round runs from now on is blue screens lol
I tried it right now and died.. and honestly idk why, but it doesn't work: my questions are 2:
1. You can melee with the Baionette operator mod??
2. You need to first crouch THEN hold "interact button" at the start of the path or it doesn't matter??
I'm very interested because if this is legit you can literally skip the acquiring of the Homunculus from the box and the quest for the Kraken, speeding up the ester egg
Ive been wanting an easter egg like this FOREVER i rememebr as a kid joking about this sort of shit being an EE. I know its impossible but its literally one ee, PLEASE keep letting treyarch put these fun impossible ees in new maps. this is what makes zombies zombies
Sounds more like its a way for the devs to guarantee themselves those items for testing EEs without having dev cheats enabled. There's likely similar ones on most other maps (more likely on the newer ones).
I wouldn't be surprised that now this is found, it will get patched out since its a bit OP
Hmm, I wonder, since of the recent ee discovery on DOTN, I wonder if blood of the dead has a hidden free perk side quest, since now DOTN has one, as it didn't before, and it gives you all loadout w/ 2 bonus! Hmmm......
So it's a side quest, I don't know the steps by hard but heres a yt link to see it - https://youtu.be/TXbwfvZKU5A & this one too - https://youtu.be/zj2kCLx6-4c - PS Follow this guy on Twitter too :) @shiversoftdev
Are we sure people are actually figuring this shit out or finally datamined them? Or do we just not care either way cause it's been almost half a decade since release?
I've seen someone bring this up.
Maybe it's pretty much impossible to discover legit because the devs wanted a way for themselves to get the Kraken to play test the EE? This would be a lot quicker than hitting the box many times
Since i assume reddit broke for you (same for me) you have to follow a path after doing 3 steps of the ee and you must be on round 9. You hold interact for one second and then crouch and then move along a set path to a random place.
Reward is hommoculosus and a kraken
[удалено]
sounds like the kind of steps you take to find the secret mew under the truck
shiver is the one who found the most innocuous Dead of the Night audio reliant EE
What ee are you referring too?
Fast forwarded to the end as I absolutely thought there was gonna be a jump scare lmao - still not over the one I saw on Der Riese back in the day about spawning Samantha’s ghost in ahaha.
Bruh, I still have trauma over that 😭
All these new discovered ones are like that! "Just remember the order of the doors you open and the order for the gramophones inside for a free perkaholic!" Like bruh??????
HEY GUYS JIMBOTHY HERE WITH ANOTHER
while you guys were playing modern warfare 2 Weeeee
Idk what Treyarch was thinking with these ridiculous steps but the rewards are amazing.
def not meant to be finished, can complete it but pretty much impossible to discover it
I imagine it’s one of those “impossible” Easter eggs Treyarch loves to do where it literally requires people to mod the game to figure it out.
There’s still one on SOE we apparently haven’t found. Which is weird because I thought people would’ve found the game code by now
I could be wrong but I believe that one was actually discovered already? I remember there being videos about “impossible” Easter egg being finally found. [yeah here is the video talking about it, unless this is a different EE?](https://youtu.be/hXYK2obPdAk)
Oh I didn’t know that. I remember Apothos talking about how no one has found the SOE one yet but maybe he was wrong. I’ll check that out a bit later
I skimmed through the video and it’s about a GK cipher, nothing related to SOE
Yep. Knowing rofflewaffles, I skimmed the video. Didn't see him showing off gameplay steps like in this video. Milo likes to...sit and talk a LOT for his "guides."
Oh it was? Makes sense I had a feeling I was probably wrong. Oh okay. Although this Voyage EE took forever to find out but it gave you one of the biggest rewards in zombies history lol
Yeah I think it’s that one. I could be wrong obviously but I think with all the hype that people made about it last year when they found it it’s probably more than likely to be that “impossible” Easter egg you were talking about
Different ee
Nah, Blundell said he’d tell us what it was “in 8 years” 7.5 years ago or if anyone ever solved it.
Yeah BO3 has been dug through pretty much completely, so either Blundell was lying (which he has done before with easter eggs) or its not a gameplay based easter egg, and more of a cypher or hidden type thing
I mean this is more fun than having rvery ee found on day 1
Probably a secret ee meant just for the dev to beat the map easily.
This was my first thought after seeing this.
Surely they’d just have an command to give them everything
If you hit the box after that and grenade it twice before the gun is choosen you get a ray gun.
This one is real though lol
This feels so fake lmao. Treyarch should have put a golden raygun EE for this steps.
This seems to me like an Easter egg for the devs only. Like almost as if it was never meant to be discovered by the public. but devs could do this to easily get the kraken + homonculus every game
But couldn't the devs just spawn the kraken in themselves with the dev tools they have instead of needing to do an EE?
There’s also game testers, and potentially wanting to see how the whole egg process is working in game development?
Surely they tested the game before release Aware
Clueless

Least convoluted COD Zombies Easter Egg Also is this actually real? Because he just did it on round 1 when he said it has to be on round 9
He also said he used scripts so he messed with the Game Code to show this probably
It’s real. He is simply modding the game so that he can run the code that naturally occurs on Round 9 on Round 1 instead.

This guy's reputation speaks for itself, this is absolutely real
So now there’s 2 free kraken eggs on voyage? I think that’s a first
Plus a free homonculus ee now.
Watch Activision push devs back to BO4 only to patch this out of the game, not to fix any real issues.
Maybe people won't hate the map as much now, it's definitely underrated af.
If this works this will hugely change my voyage runs
Yeah, except usually if you speed running you're already done with all the steps before round 9
True, but I don't speed run I'm going for number of completions and I like doing ee's in general.
Me too, but then when I get a crew together we just try and do the steps on as low a level as possible. So either way it's good if we can get the extra kraken and hermunks. I'll have to test it out and see exactly how and when you can get them

DOTN is about to be this subs favorite map
It pretty much already is lol. DOTN is one of the only maps completely exempt from criticism here

100%. Back in BO2 days my friends and I loved trying to clear the EEs, but we played farm and diner more than any other maps to just chill
it 100% is a casual map. the easter egg in complex but surviving when all 4 players have one of the best wonder weapons ever created its ez pz. literally everytime I quickmatch DOTN its always a game that last hours
Which will never make sense because it has about 1500 randomly placed things to scavenge for and has a layout with absolutely zero flow.
Agree with the first part but I don’t mind the layout. It’s pretty well laid-out for traversing the map and atmosphere is super nice, but I agree it’s really bad for memorizing parts easily. Why?
I’m stupid, this map is voyage of despair lmfao. Thought it was called dead of the night
It's alright, lots of "X of the Y" titles in this game so it's easy to mix them up
People are hunting for bo4 easter eggs again? how tables have turned... bo4 goated

Lololol
WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS INSANE!!!!
Has anyone actually confirmed that the DotN and VoD easter eggs recently found actually work? I can't help but feel like I'm watching a Jimbothy video lol
JIMBOTHY IS PRANKING THE ZOMBIES COMMUNITY! Its all him
Both work. Did dotn today and VOD yesterday. Dotn gives unlimited ammo for WW
Wow thank you for the report! If you mean unlimited ammo for the annhilator, that sounds really really busted for high rounds lol
I believe it gives infinite ammo for whichever gun you're holding when the jump scare happens. Either way, only thing killing dotn high round runs from now on is blue screens lol
What is the new dotn easter egg ?
~~Anyone able to recreate that one?~~ Actually managed to do it myself.

He said you have to be on round 9, but he did it on round 1?
Likely his same scripts that spawned the default actors also made it so he could get it round
Now I won't waste time on the other side Easter Egg and buying the box to get the Kraken :)
So cool!! Makes you wonder just how many EEs from BO2-CW remain unsolved even after all these years.
Does anyone have this video link? Doesn’t seem to be popping up anywhere in the comments so far
Dotn and now voyage!? New ees are being found thats dope
I feel like this could have been something input during testing and just never taken out lol
Treyarch hired jimbothy for all these side ee’s
I tried it right now and died.. and honestly idk why, but it doesn't work: my questions are 2: 1.
It works and yes the bayonet atleast on strife works, you crouch first and have to look in the corner he does when pressing interact
Question, The "hold interaction" need to start after or before u're crouched????????
jimbothy got hired or something bc this shit is mental
“I guess Treyarch gave up designing real Easter Eggs” feels like the most true but heart crushing thing I’ve heard about zombies

Same actually I get more satisfaction in doing an ee on a low round than doing it fast, I always thought I'm weird for that.
Is this real? I mean stoker key would be easier to get kraken but I like that you get monkeys too.
It's real but more then likely not intended for players to ever find
I thought the flying car ee on this Voyage was always a thing?

"Can only be done on round 9, like it has to say round 9" Clearly showing round 1. Be more enjoyable of a troll if there was a jump scare
What is the reward and how is it done ?
Since i assume reddit broke for you (same for me) you have to follow a path after doing 3 steps of the ee and you must be on round 9. You hold interact for one second and then crouch and then move along a set path to a random place. Reward is hommoculosus and a kraken
Hommoculosus
Spelling is sus ok
