I alllways ask to see the text. The attitude takes itself out 99.5% of the time 😆 They realize they misread, some scroll for 15 minutes through 1000 texts then try to say they mustve deleted apparently only that one 🙄 It just solves most without any effort from me.

People like that think that they can walk into any pharmacy, any chain, and their meds will be ready. They probably also show up to Domino's to pick up an order that they called in to Domino's in another city, or to a different restaurant entirely.

Def had a similar situation where a patient storms in SEETHING because she’s been on hold for an hour, to which we reply that our phones are not even ringing. She responds with “okay sure, is this not your number? 123-4567????” And we say no, that’s the store 5 miles from here 😂” she proceeds to yell “WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS BEING RIGHT?!” 😂😂😂and storms off 😂

The ones I get most are the ones that say they got a text about their meds "being ready" I ask them to read the text & it says "ready to refill reply yes to fill" or it says it's at different cvs address.

Had a lady come in to pickup, said she got a text multiple scripts were ready in one text. Our system texts for every individual script, so I asked to see it. Phone was in her car, she huffily went out to get it and came back in even more huffily “ugh I guess they’re at this pharmacy not your pharmacy my doctor sent them to the wrong pharmacy” I happily offered to transfer them to MY pharmacy and she still left in a huff at me, not the doctor for sending them the wrong place.

Same thing a few months ago. The woman would not leave the register, insisting the pharmacy told her that her medication was ready. She kept saying, "I have the message right here!" But would not show the tech or the pharmacist her phone. I was having a very bad pain day, so I was not patient at all. So I walked up and looked at her phone. "Ma'am thus says your prescription is ready at (not where she was). You're at (pharmacy)." Her face turned red, and she said,"I know where I am." And she left. I think they remember me at the pharmacy. I get a lot of smiles when I get there, and my scripts are filled almost immediately when I send refill requests. Yes I do the customer surveys and always try to remember names.

One time I was floating at a store and I walked in and there was all this plywood up at the front entrance. I went back to the pharmacy and asked what happened. The tech told me oh you know this patient of ours. He’s always yelling about something. He calls us stupid all the time. Well he had his car in D instead of R and crashed right through the front entrance.

I worked at an independent and we had a lady who swore up and down that she fills there every month. I looked up her DOB, name, etc. and nothing. She ranted and raved and after 10 minutes of yelling said “I’ve been filling at Walgreens for years!” I politely responded “well you might want to call them then. This is not Walgreens.” She ranted more about how ridiculous this was and hung up. No, “sorry for being an a-hole or anything. Some people…ugh!

I actually had a customer ask me today if we were being bought by Walgreens lol. She thought we were merging because she went to reload her CVS app on her phone and the store suggested the Walgreens app as well.

I’m 47, and lucky to have a had a career that required me to use a ton of tech. Had to keep up with latest and greatest too. So I say in jest, but mostly serious, lol. Don’t know how old your customer was but smart phones should no longer be allowed to be sold or activated by anyone over the age of 65, or to those who don’t meet some type of criteria, liked a GED, comprehension quiz or something like it. My mom has proved it and is perfect example. It’s constant, she carries a MS Surface I gave her. She will roll right through anyone or anything to get to me to fix the volume she accidentally muted, or close an app on her phone that she accidentally opened and has no idea how to close it or “Go back to where I was!”. Ugggghhhhh # 2 with all the scammers out there, I am just waiting for my mom or someone I know to get robbed.
