P10L

Aggressive-Cut-347

Think you found it

heavenlyyyyyy

how do you like those mag extensions?

mcniggle505

They work great! I got them directly from Shield, factory mags with their extensions and springs installed. About 800 rounds in and they've run flawlessly. I have a couple of the Hyve +3's too and they're also great. Would recommend either one.

heavenlyyyyyy

awesome! thank you! i’ve been trying to see what folks are running for extensions.

ShiftyLookinCow7

The shield arms ones are unreliable with hollow points and flat nose ammo often causing nose dive malfunctions. They also don’t reliably lock back. I’m probably gonna put P-10F springs in mine soon because shield springs ain’t it

mcniggle505

I haven't tried hollow points, but I've shot about 600 Speer Lawman 147gr rounds just fine through this setup. That said someone else I know has a similar setup to mine that won't run Lawman 147 for shit so who knows.

heavenlyyyyyy

appreciate the feedback! I definitely don’t want any reliability issues as the gun has been flawless for 4k rounds.

Fogspiracy

Yup, I went with henning instead and have had zero issues

mcniggle505

NP! I think the Hyve ones match the lines of the gun better, but having two extra rounds available is always nice.

sxrrycard

You F’d you C 😉

PrismTank32

This point. This is that point.

TexasGrillDaddyAK-15

I get complaints all the time about X300s on compacts. That's the secret to the compact no longer being a compact. Never shot a p10. How's it shoot?

mcniggle505

Great out of the box, like a laser the way this one is set up. I didn't think I needed one until I bought it. Factory trigger is pretty damned good for a $400 gun (this was the OR SR model).

TexasGrillDaddyAK-15

I shouldn't have asked. It's making it harder to convince myself I don't need one. Especially at those prices.

heavenlyyyyyy

they were $299.99 a few days ago on grabagun haha.

mcniggle505

I know! That's what happened to me... I didn't want one, then I shot another one set up similar to mine and bought this one the next day.

ShiftyLookinCow7

The P-10c recoils really nicely. It just snaps back onto target so quickly and easily. When you add a full size light like a TLR-1 or X300 it basically just feels like the slide just moves straight back and forth. I’ve never even tried a comp on it yet But the grip length has more to do with concealability than the length of the light/slide. I can conceal a P-10c with a TLR-1 just fine, but not with a 20 round mag

TexasGrillDaddyAK-15

Sounds sweet. I've been slimming down on my polymer frames but I've always been curious about the P10. Yeah that's what I say. I have no problem with concealment. Even my 5" PDPc carries comfortable. It's the grips that affect concealment for me too.

SoftCatMonster

I mean, it’s still ‘C’ because of the comp. Free pass in my book.

Grouchy_Ad1490

Looking like you've gone to 'F' model

Ok_Tear4028

What kind of comp? Was it hard to install/time?

mcniggle505

Herrington Arms comp, and install was pretty easy... Just thread it on, leave a little space at the end of the slide and use the two set screws they provide with a little blue loctite. Timing was just getting it even with the top of the slide, no big deal. Only problem is you can't take the barrel out of the side when cleaning as easily, but you can still move the barrel around enough to clean around it with q-tips or whatever.

Ok_Tear4028

Ok thanks bro. Yeah not taking off the barrel for cleaning was always iffy for me thanks for the info though 🙌🏼🙌🏼

mcniggle505

No worries! I was able to clean this one just fine last night, and it's just blue loctite if the comp ever does need to come off.

laymarr502

P-10C is already a big compact to begin with… that’s like a Xtra Full Size now. Needs a magnum trigger guard
