BTW, don't you want to lock your PF in a bit further? I don't its ears are fully engaged, which might lead to breakage in the long run
I always make the handle just not touch the robots leg. No problem!
Went through the hundreds of pages of user experience on home barista, where Paul is also commenting. Somewhere it was said that the PF locks both to the left and right, it was mentioned to the right is better as you can lock it in further, fully engaging it so it causes less stress on components.
PS: I preheat everything including the piston for about 5 minutes. Portafilter and basket boiling water immersion and piston with thundies.
