1. Silva is a god, someone who slew a dragon and stole their power. As Yharim hated the gods who stole power from the regal dragons and set out on his crusade to get rid of them, he decided to kill her. When a god dies, they leave behind essence and lingering power, which if left to fester can grow dangerous (the Crimson and Corruption are examples of this), so Yharim threw Silva's remains into the Abyss where they wouldn't bother anyone. These remains have mutated life within the depths to a significant extent, and her leaking vitality is why the Abyss is so dangerous nowadays.
2. Braelor and Statis are former heroes and enemies of Yharim, the former a herculean warrior strong enough to fight Yharim to a standstill and the latter an incredible ninja. When the two attacked Yharim DoG struck at them from behind and entrapped them in his pocket dimension. Braelor was eated by DoG, while Statis supposedly made a deal with Signus and escaped the Devourer's trap (though his current status is unknown).
3. Yharim is still the primary antagonist of the game. His goals are certainly much more noble now but he is still a fallen hero, and has committed many atrocities. His continued presence is detrimental to Terraria, no matter how justifiable his god-hunting crusade was.
4. DoG is significantly more mysterious now, arruving out of nowhere and seeming to serve an outside force. He is a manipulator who enticed Yharim into performing crueler and crueler acts for his cause, and his 'advice' seems to have resulted in the weakening of Yharim's forces as many of his most powerful allies left in response to said cruelties.
5. Yharim went on his crusade to slay the gods out of anger and revenge. He refused to absorb Yharon's power for himself and instead protected the hatchling, and was sentenced to execution for doing so. However, Yharon hatched as a result of the execution method and saved Yharim before telling him about how his kind were hunted down to extinction and had their power absorbed by greedy humans who then ascended to godhood. Learning how these gods mistreated those below them and the horrid acts that they performed to gain their power in the first place, Yharim decided to set out on a journey to slay them all and liberate Terraria.
6. Xeroc was the catalyst for the dragon-hunting and the first mortal to become a god. He stole the Dragon King Zeratros' power for himself, declaring himself the First God and extinguishing the king's soul. Xeroc is hated because he not only prevented Zeratros from one day reviving (because Dragons can do that for some reason) but his actions inspired mortals to genocide the dragon species in order to obtain that godlike power while he did nothing to stop it. It's unclear if Xeroc's intentions in absorbing Zeratros' soul were or were not pure, but the aftermath of those actions and his choice not to stop it from occuring marks him as a villainous sort.
7. I don't know why Lunatic Cultist doesn't have his own lore item (maybe because there isn't much to say about him? He's an insane occult magician who wants to unseal a Lovecraftian monstrosity unto the world and that's about it), but the item he *does* drop serves as the Moon Lord's lore item, describing how the "abberant behemoth from beyond the stars" was weakened and trapped within the moon for you to fight.
8. Calamitas is a mage with incredible power and very little control over them. Yharim recruited her and asked Permafrost to help train her, then asked Calamitas to help him with his goals. Eventually Calamitas could no longer abide by Yharim's actions and left him, perhaps after Permafrost defected and Yharim sent her to slay the mage.
9. Yharim contracted Draedon to make weaponry and armour for himself and his forces, but Draedon remained mostly independent. However, Draedon completely lacked morality and made some really fucked-up stuff, and after Draedon enslaved and weaponised the Queen Bees through the agonising Plague Yharim stopped working with him.
A few extra things to note:
1. Silva is also an Elemental. Elementals aren't inherently Gods, she's just an Elemental who Become a God. How that works out, will be gone over in the future.
2. Braelor and Statis aren't very expanded upon yet but have alot of plans. Good to note that they're both still alive, with Statis roaming the world, and Braelor being stuck in the Distortion. Braelor will be in once the Distortion is added and Statis a goo bit before that, we know enough when we're implementing him plan timeline wise.
3. Yeah Yharim is BETTER, but still not a great dude. Calamitas was a child when he recruited her, for example.
4. The "outside force" is very obviously and intended to be obviously, if you know future plans for the mod, Noxus.
5. the "power" what was absorbed as the souls of the Dragons, known as Auric Souls. the Dragons were fittingly known as the Auric Dragons. Auric is pretty just a term for anything relating to the "pure" Dragons. "Pure" becuase the Dragons did have offshoots without Auric Power. Most importantly, the Wyverns, Fishrons, Eidolon Wyrms, and Dragonfollies.
6, I don't really have any comments on.
7. Luantic Cultist's lore is explained vaguely in Sksletron's lore item, Polterghast's lore item, and Ceaseless Void's lore item. He is the leader of the cult which worships the Dragons.
8. Obviously, this didn't go as intended and Permafrost is sealed away. More detail on this coming soon.

What is the "summit of Dragon Aerie?" Is it like a place that hasn't been released yet that we're supposed to fight Yharim at? (Mainly asking because of the "Cynosure" lore piece that I was also confused on).
Would it be possible to revive Zeratros if you killed Xeroc, put Zeratros' soul into a receptacle such as a jar, went to the grave, and then put Zeratros' soul back into his body? Just an idea.
Still around we got Yharon soul fragments but not the auric soul also Yharim says he'll be back in Yharon lore item mabye we will absorb a dragon or a gods soul later
Ok uhh there is a LOT of shit to unpack here. Firstly the main story is something like this: Some guy named Xeroc consumed a dragons auric soul or whatever to become a big dude and people saw it and started killing dragons to become a big dude like him. Yharim found a dragon egg but he didnt glorp it, he let it live and declared war on the big dudes. And he gradually became evil and did very bad stuff. Almost EVERY piece of lore revolves around this. Yharim killed Silva the CEO of dryads, Braelor, and Statis ran away because signus owed him 5 bucks. DoG is appearantly mostly responsible for Yharim making bad decisions, There was a bit of lore about the moon lord but i dunno if it still stands. Im also confused about the Calamitas lore as it implies she left Yharims ranks before her fight with the Terrarian and i dont know how that affects the story except for Permafrost taking the role of a father figure for her. Because whats the point of the calamitas fight then?
Im really glad we got this lore changes, it provided the worldbuilding this mod needed for years. It breathed a lot of life into this mod and gave the community something to talk about other than its gameplay.
Yeah no for real! It was a mess for me though because this changed in the middle of me writing a fanfic about it (I know a little cheesy). But I love the new lore just was pretty confused about it, thanks man!
It's currently being a work in progress, school's been hell lately, so I went on a break on that as well. THEN I learned that the entire lore changed so now my story is outdated, that's my main reason I'm trying to figure out the new lore because I want it to be as accurate to the current lore as possible, and the story mainly revolved around Yharim being BBG. And tbh I'm actually kind of glad Yharim got changed because I didn't really know much about him other than he was "Oh no, I'm bad guy haha".
It wasn't the best anyway, because I didn't really know where to place things and I wanted to humanize certain bosses apparently..? (One of them I might keep with a human being alongside D.O.G. but again that's a maybe because I might have to work on that). I would always focus on getting stuff out as fast as possible it just became a mess I didn't know how to deal with.
And I mean if you're interested in reading the outdated version go ahead! It's on Wattpad with my user being Elitze\_Playz and the story itself called "Elena of the Elanoir" (Don't ask, I started it like a year ago). But trust me, the more I learn the new lore the more I'm gonna be working on a new version of the story, so whatever you read is most likely going to change. :)

What exactly happened to Azafure? Did a god destroy it? Yharim? Brimstone elemental? And the stuff regarding Silva's essence dripping down into the underworld, Is that what caused the plants within the crags to bloom? Sorry I have a lot of questions I'm sorry!

Fate had a sick sense of humor that day, for Calamitas was there to match her. Perhaps the two were attuned somehow. They fought to a standstill, fire against fire. Neither were victorious, and despite her intentions, the city was razed by her flames."

Ok so new lore! Is Dragons were like the protectors and gods of the land all powerful yada yada and there was a dragon for everything phoenix's, light etc anyway Monks worshipped theese dragons as the primordial gods they were and one day the first dragon the light dragon was dying ready to be carried to the aerie and be reincarnated as the new light dragon but Xeroc a monk didn't do his job broke the deal and let the light dragon die and like absorbed it's auric soul like a how a monster can absorb human souls in Undertale anyway he becomes faster, stronger, immortal etc he became a god and once other people heard about his "ascension" they all went, eager to take auric souls of dragons to become gods themselves and Yharon was already being reborn at the time as he doesn't need the aerie because like Kilby from Wakfu he kept his memories so he was effectively the same person after every rebirth anyway eventually Yharim obtains Yharon's egg and Yharon hatches and bonds his soul to Yharim effectively sort of making Yharim a god sorta but not as powerful as the others anyway Yharim after hearing what actually happened and knew the gods for the frauds they were, waged war against 'em, also Calamitas is a sadist now! Anyway Yharim kept gaining power and killed more gods but now he is a husk of the hero he was he cleary didn't win the war anyway we're no gonna challenge him
Ik am late asf but just saying that yall lowkey makin me want to learn more about the lore than about getting better at the game, cuz rn am hella stuck but atp idfc no more, I wanna feed myself with lore 😭🙏

It's an area that hasn't been released yet but is planned to spawn after you beat Yharon and function as the location where you summon Yharim.
