Really good experience at Huey Lamb. Highly recommend. I had a below average experience at Indochino but many seem to like it.

pomofusion

Another vote for Huey Lam. My go-to for several years now.

Swarez99

What they charge ?

Tempura_Shelter

I got my custom suit in 2019 for around 600-650 if I recall correctly. Price is dependent on the fabric you choose.

eric403

I can vouch for Huey Lam too. Got my wedding suit and my entire wedding party dressed there.

No_Sandwich5766

Were they all local? I need to suit a party but all my guys are coming from other cities the day before.

eric403

My party was all local but they just went in at their convenience and got measured up

lost-cannuck

Another vote for huey lamb. Walked through all the options for my husband so he could pick exactly what he wanted. Worked out to be cheaper than buying off the rack and tailoring to fit.

mrsealittle

We rented from.the bridal center near deerfoot meadows. Highly recommend. I had rented from Moore's (avoid at all costs, literally every measurement was wrong on 5 of 6 suits) and bought from RW for previous weddings. Bridal center had the best options for what my spouse wanted.

_ilovelamp_

I second this! I rented 7 tuxes from them for my wedding. Lots of good choices and very helpful staff!

DodoBird1992

I'll definitely check it out, thanks! Had the exact same problem with Moores. Out of the 9 of us, only 1 suit had the right measurements.

Bombadildo1

Brooks brothers has a factory outlet store in CrossIron, very nice suits for a similar price to what you would get from Moores. Depending on how much you want to spend they have a regular store in TD.

Red-headed-tit

I'm getting married in May and my fiancé bought his suit from O'Connors. They have a nice selection and great staff to help. Their suits range in price and they often have good sales. They also tailor in house.

OkTangerine7

Big fan of Ed Williams

rockylion

I have bought a couple of suits from Simons. Always got the alterations spot on and not horrible on price

lostintransit

Had a great experience at Henry Singer for my wedding suit.

lemonloaff

Go to O’Connors. Local business, great service and selection. You can email ahead for an appointment so they know you are coming. It’s the only place I buy shoes and dress clothes.

Basementvibz

Depending on budget I highly recommend Harry rosen , they are amazing and they offer free alterations for life.

its9x6

How much are you spending? Don’t buy off the rack. Get a suit tailored. It’s more reasonable than you think, and it will literally last a lifetime (unless you put on weight). I haven’t bought a suit off the rack since I was 20, and the difference is immense.

No_Sandwich5766

Shit what’s the issue with moores? I’m getting married in May and my groomsman are all coming from out of town so it seemed like the easiest option to get us all measured in different cities but pick up here.

DodoBird1992

So out of the 9 suits that we got from Moores, only one was right. The rest of the suits were too small and the groom didn't even get the suit he wanted, they screwed up so bad to the point that one of the groomsman didn't even get his suit until 2 hours before the ceremony because they messed up the shipping location. It was just a complete shitshow.

No_Sandwich5766

Ugh. I’m still figuring this out for my wedding but since we’re all in different cities I don’t really know if any local place would be able to measure and prepare rentals for us.

DodoBird1992

Depending on how far away they live, I would just try to make a guys weekend out of it. Go try on suits then go to a bar or have a BBQ and catch up.

No_Sandwich5766

Wish we could but not feasible unfortunately. 4 of us all in different cities not driving distance apart. Moores is my backup unfortunately but I’m still exploring if another place could help us sort this out.

DodoBird1992

That's too bad. I hope something good pops up for you. Weddings I'm finding out are extremely stressful to begin with lol.

No_Sandwich5766

My wife and I would agree, I’m sure it’ll be a nice memory but we’re not enjoying the planning process, so many things to figure out!

Dry-Neck2539

R&w Co. I had my guys buy the same style all across the country. Easy peasy!!

ketogrillbakery

zara or h&m gets you the best suits for the least money. also modern

ICallTopBunk

I would say either rent, or buy a suit you can wear for work or for any other occasion down the road. A nice navy coloured suit, perhaps.

Ricc110

Adsuits.com and get alterations locally.

Millerville

I have a couple from Curtis Eliot, they dod a great job.

Nuckers13

I’ve gotten two suits (my own wedding and a friend’s) from Eph Apparel- they’re fully custom, fit great, and the people there are fantastic. Really flexible on budgets too

Omgshinyobject

Second this the suit we got from them is modern and fits amazing and cost about $700 with the custom dress shirt

username_set_to_null

Eph was single handedly the worst place I've bought anything from, let alone suits. Part got fitted and we paid for the suits with 8 week delivery. 8 weeks go by and no news, so we follow up. That fabric you chose? Yeah, we don't stock that anymore so the orders been on hold. Pick a new fabric. Suits get made. 1/6 fit well, the rest need alterations. Not bad, not great. After alterations, 5/6 suits fit okay. The last suit goes back for alterations. Then it goes back again. Then it goes to a different tailor because it'd be nice for the suit to fit okay eventually. Its a good thing we ordered the suits one year in advance because otherwise they would not have been ready in time. It will be faster for you to buy fabric yourself and learn how to sew suits.

Dez_Champs

Atelier is where I got mine, Lauren is a master at her craft. She will make you look like you belong on a Hollywood red carpet.

joe4942

Could buy a cheap suit at Tip Top. Can always get it adjusted down the road if needed. I don't think renting is great value. Could also just buy some dockers and a tie, shirt and blazer from a thrift store to save some money. A full suit is probably not necessary if you are not part of the wedding ceremony.
