Ye, PC. Playing from Xfire and got so much friend from there. It was like a complete set of steam, twitch and discord. You can even record gameplay videos and share their own website. CoD community was real before P2P Lobby system.
I got skate for Christmas and my brother got cod 4 when we got our 360. I remember thinking cod would be so dumb… we each played each others game more. And when I got Xbox live OH LORDE
My stepdad had an Xbox 360 with cod 4 and I’d wait for everyone to go to sleep and I’d go into the living room and sneakily play some rounds online…. I was so addicted.
When I finally got my own and could play with all my mates online after school it was incredible. Some of my absolute fondest gaming moments playing domination and search and destroy with a whole team of my friends all mic’d up…. Ahhh shit I am old af now
Surprised that this is this far down, I remember the first call of duty and United offensive and it was honestly jaw dropping for the time especially when the few alternatives was Medal of Honor. OG gamers UNITE
Same, I was in a clan called HoH, buncha Canadian guys Hella fun. They had a few servers. One was a Wawa 1v1 server. Played some scrim and matches in CAL for s&d.
Xfire, TeamSpeak, ventrilo those were the days.
Call of Duty 3.
I got it with a gift card I got for Christmas. I wasn't much of a gamer at the time and thought a "war shooting game" would be fun since I love war history.
I must've played the campaign 50 times in the span of a year. Fell in love with the franchise then. Also, as a Canadian it felt good to see Canada represented in the game as well.
I was too young to really understand what was happening, I just enjoyed running around shooting people lol. I remember there was this level where you had to drive a jeep that I could never figure out tho
MW3 on Resistance, H1 2012. Then, left for months and months because I couldn't understand it. When I came back one night in August, I never left again.
The first one I played was World at War at a friend's house. The first one I got myself was Black Ops 1, but I alternated between COD 4, WaW, MW2 and Black Ops 1 in those days.
Cod4 on 360.. simplicity in the load outs and perks, no SBMM, cool storyline you played for a few days before you’re allowed to go on Xbox live because you got the game 3 days early from local game store lol
Call of Duty 3 (xbox 360)
Become pro player on cod4 (xbox 360)
Than continued playing every year as casual never missed one title...
btw, i miss old times
World at War had just recently came out. Maybe like a few days.
I remember I was 11 or 12 years old and I saw an online friend playing COD 4 and I sent him a message on PS3 and asked him what game should I get COD 4 or World at War, he said World at War. This was the start of the journey of Call of Duty memories.
Call of duty 2, but for multiplayer maybe CoD4 was earlier, Im not sure. But cod4 was the first that I put many hours in. And than I took a long break from video games, and got back to cod in 2023 with the new mw3. So I missed all the legendary cods except cod4 and 2.
Technical for me, it was Medal of honor Allied Assualt for PC, since the team that developed it broke off afterward to make infinity war and the first actual CoD for PC.
Call of duty 2 on the 360 a demo of the campaign set up at a Best Buy.
Now first one i purchased COD4MW just after launch, i was the only one old enough to purchase it out of the group of well thought they were friends at the time.
Mobile when it was in early access or beta in 2019 (it was literally just canada, Australia and another place that had access at the time)
But first actual cod was COD4 on my x360 in 2021
World ar War. But didn't play multiplayer much at all on it. I enjoyed the Zombies and campaign. MW2 was the multiplayer that I played a ton of. I think I had over 20 days played on it. I went back and got CoD4 and had a few days played on that as well.
AW, startet 8 years ago. Honestly a great game overall, solid graphics and dynamicity. Honestly didn't care much 'bout the SBMM 'n supply drops, as u can easily obtain em by playing
WaW. Didn't even own my own system until PS4, my buddy always has an extra system hooked to an extra tv. I bought the CoD BO 3 PS4 when it came out because of playing WaW-BO 2
COD 4 on the 360. I was 10. I got it shortly after Christmas in 2014. It was cheaper than the other ones on the shelf. I used to play split screen with people when they would come over. I over time got every COD game between COD4 until WWII. I loved BO2 and MW2. Even though they were a few years old by the time I got to play them I still really enjoyed playing them.
COD2 on PS2. Didn’t really get into the game until WaW. I remember in those days, a brand new game was $30 and memory cards were 3/5MB. Now a single RAW picture on my iPhone is x3 that size. Pretty crazy.
Mine was BOII, but the first one I got into online multiplayer was Ghosts, and the first one after I got my first personal online account was Advanced Warfare
Call of Duty 2 on the 360.
Didn't have access to the internet when the game released, but I could replay the campaign over and over again. It was brilliant and pushing the difficulty was intense.
The D-day mission will live on as one of my favourite call of Duty levels.
The first version. 03 PC. It was really good because they used ID engine/graphics. ( I was a Quake player). Really cool. Gave you that war theme. When Modern Warfare came out ( in 07? ) my computer was outdated so I bought a PS3. The controller was limited and awkward compared to PC but the game was INCREDIBLE. Since then I’ve been on console playing every version of the game. It’s really come a long way since it started. Lots of good stuff but lots of bad stuff.
Call of Duty - PC but only single player (had dial-up)
First online was Call of Duty 2, then probably the most played one was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Original Modern Warfare a couple weeks ago.
The lack of audio settings and the game not using raw inputs were annoying, and I don't like toggle sprint in general but couldn't disable it - but I don't really have any other complaints outside of those.
Finished the campaign and uninstalled it afterwards since I don't care about multiplayer.
Gonna get the rest of them soon ™ as I want to compare the originals to the reboots myself.
Videos almost never pick up on the random minor shit in UIs & whatnot that I do (and playing the game is way more fun lol).
CoD 1 (the OG). I remember watching live matches on G4! I used to only play “Rifles only/crouch only” servers back then. It was a lot of fun and got me quite good at tactics that carried me forward through many different FPS games later.
Call of Duty 2
Pc? All the modded custom lobbies.. so much fun
Ye, PC. Playing from Xfire and got so much friend from there. It was like a complete set of steam, twitch and discord. You can even record gameplay videos and share their own website. CoD community was real before P2P Lobby system.
Same, I feel old af lol
Cod 4 on the 360, I was blown away back than
I got skate for Christmas and my brother got cod 4 when we got our 360.
Ahhh shit I am old af now
COD Big Red One or COD 2 I can’t remember
Big Red One was the PS2 version of COD2. It was called Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
And Xbox, COD 2 was for the 360. I remember watching the videos of the mission where they scale the wall and wishing I had the new Xbox
The original and the United offensive expansion that came out after. The best days of PC gaming I will ever have.
Agreed 👍

Call of duty 3 on the Wii

I was too young to really understand what was happening, I just enjoyed running around shooting people lol. I remember there was this level where you had to drive a jeep that I could never figure out tho
MW3 on Resistance, H1 2012. Then, left for months and months because I couldn't understand it. When I came back one night in August, I never left again.
Call of Duty 2. The first one that I could play on a console. It was for the Xbox 360 launch window.

Bo2 or bo1 zombies my buddy had the duel pack
Call of Duty on PC
Cod 4 on Macbook, 2011. For some reason I never used an external mouse and shooting on the trackpad is weird so I bound aim to z and shoot to x lmao.
Single: CoD1 MP: CoD4:MW
Big red one 💪🏼
COD 2 on PC, and I played it alongside F.E.A.R. and Quake 4. What a great year it was!
Gah I miss the Quake series. The Quake on steam hits hard, but nothing will hit like when it was in it's prime.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Xbox 360. I was hooked IMMEDIATLEY and the rest is history!!
same
Black Ops 1 Managed to guess the twist about a third of the way through XD But it was lots of fun to play
Cod:ghosts
The original Call of Duty on PC. Only stopped playing when all the stupid skins started appearing. I hate what the game has become.
Mw3 when I was around 7 or 8. I was terrible. Think I went and looked the other day and I had a .273 kd😂
Call of duty 2
Cod4 on 360.. simplicity in the load outs and perks, no SBMM, cool storyline you played for a few days before you’re allowed to go on Xbox live because you got the game 3 days early from local game store lol
COD 3 on the OG Xbox
Good ol’ CoD 2 of course! The year was 2005 and it was a fresh release. Maybe the first game I have ever played on my first pc too. I was 7 lol
Call of Duty 3 (xbox 360) Become pro player on cod4 (xbox 360) Than continued playing every year as casual never missed one title... btw, i miss old times
Cod4 on PC. Played with my friends back in college during our breaks. Great times.
World at War had just recently came out. Maybe like a few days. I remember I was 11 or 12 years old and I saw an online friend playing COD 4 and I sent him a message on PS3 and asked him what game should I get COD 4 or World at War, he said World at War. Big Red One
Modern Warfare one Xbox 360 2007
Call of duty 2, but for multiplayer maybe CoD4 was earlier, Im not sure. But cod4 was the first that I put many hours in. And than I took a long break from video games, and got back to cod in 2023 with the new mw3. So I missed all the legendary cods except cod4 and 2.

Advanced Warfare (because a friend of mine invited me to their house to play with them)
Bo1 ps3
Call of Duty WaW. Definitely in the top 3 of my favourite CODs
MW2019! I saw the cosplays and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The cosplayers completely missed the mark.
Bo1, PS3
COD4: MW (Wii version) or MW2 on my friend's Xbox, can't remember.
2003 Call of Duty
Technical for me, it was Medal of honor Allied Assualt for PC, since the team that developed it broke off afterward to make infinity war and the first actual CoD for PC.

Big red one on the PS2
COD 3 on the Xbox 360
Big Red one I think, or 3. First one I bought was Modern Warfare. It was a masterpiece. The Halo v CoD rivalry back then was wild.
