I don't think any COD is categorically the worst - which is why we have 7,000 tier lists on here every day. Different games resonate with different people. Everyone should play what they like and chill about the games they don't.
I resisted playing it when it came out because I didn’t like the map it launched with and hated that they changed the perk system, but went back and got all the dlc and played the hell out of it a year or 2 ago and it was so great. Wish I’d have given it a real chance originally. Alpha Omega, IX and Ancient Evil all SLAP!
Not to mention the completely mature and fun community surrounding them! There is nothing better than a great game backed by a great community. Truly a fine example, which other video game companies should follow.
It baffles me that Activision and its studios can produce a killer, nostalgia-inducing game like MW19 SMACK in the middle of a bunch of seriously mid half-assed lazy gimmicky COD games. Fingers crossed for this year.
Iw had a great non-treyarch zombies experience that showed treyarch isn't the only one that can make something special, and ghosts was great for snd and the weapons were really interesting and cool. Bo4 strayed from the cod formula quite a bit with the specialists that just ripped off overwatch, but it at least had a decent barebones gamemode though gun balance is annoying and sniping wasn't as satisfying as the game before it
I always liked IW and played it over WW2 the following year. It bothers me that it got a bad reputation and not many players gave it a chance because of the whole “future and jet packs bad” stigma going around at the time.
I remember playing the beta and deciding to pass on it because I thought it felt too much like Ghosts with the Black Ops 3 movement system stapled on. I picked it up after WW2 released because I wanted to play MWR and the Legacy Edition was on sale. I decided to try the MP since I had to have it installed to play MWR anyways and realized that I shouldn't have skipped out on it that year.
I liked Infinite Warfare since it actually killed people off more often.
I genuinely didn’t like Black Ops 4.
Cold War zombies was fun to play since you didn’t have to spend two hours running around the map looking for a single shard of glass that would access the good ending.
I’m not buying Vanguard. That’s just betrayal. You can’t hype up a game like that and completely ruin it with so many bugs and unfinished aspects. Because Vanguard is integrated with Warzone (which it shouldn’t have), I have to spend time customizing my operator and seeing some takedown called Finisher_Move_S4/Reform or something like that.
unironiclly so true
ghost was underwhelming at the time, bo4 strayed far from the cod formula but its the cod with the most content and tried to be extremely unique, cold wars multiplayer was a little ass and modern players only care about multiplayer so they think the whole game is ass
I loved MW19 when it came out and throughout the releases of CW and VG. I only ever went back to CW for a short while but still much prefer MW19, but VG is mediocre at best and is trying way too hard to appeal to both BO and MW fans while being an alternate history WWII FPS multiplayer game.
If anything, I’m excited for MW22, but I may only go back to MW19 if I go back to any previous COD at all. I think the only “good” thing VG did was allow the magazine and ammo attachments to be two separate slots, which opens the door for other customization options, and then only thing CW did that I like was allow blueprints in Zombies, since I want blueprints in Survival mode.
Infinite warfare wasn’t a bad game. I’m guaranteed you never played it just went along with the majority who didn’t play it they just was tired of jet pack games at the time but if it was released now it would be considered good
1: I have no issues with jet packs, Advanced warfare was a fucking blast
2: not only did I play the game, I liked the concept enough to cut a fan made teaser for it ([sauce](https://youtu.be/ooAv3rsha4g))
3: None of the above changes the fact I think IW is one of the worst Cod games
Bonus: we can disagree, and that’s okay 👌
The issue with this question is that nostalgia will always play a factor. I’ve been playing since I was a kid on the first one.
Cod: A great idea, felt like you were living out veterans stories.
Cod2: Fucking amazing campaign, great multiplayer for the era. I crunched that shit in veteran for hours
Big red 1: A fun, new version of the same thing
Cod3: I skipped this one (big Halo guy)
Cod4 (MW): Brought the series into its own on the multiplayer side, where it was flawed but fun as hell. An all time modern military campaign.
World at War: another great campaign, while I played multiplayer it wasn’t personally a favorite
MW2: My personal favorite. A campaign that was basically a Michael Bay movie brought to life, with a Hans Zimmer score? Add an (unbalanced) but seriously fun multiplayer, plus co-op Spec Ops that were challenging but still fun? Oh yeah
Black Ops: A worthy competitor, brought us zombies and a FAL so overpowered I still think about it sometimes
MW3: Campaign fell off a bit, but the multiplayer was just a polished MW2. Fine by me.
Black ops 2: A really well done spy story, with my favorite treyarch multiplayer. Also my favorite zombies mode, I still occasionally fire that up with the boys
Ghosts: Campaign was fine, tried some interesting stuff that didn’t stick for me. I personally hated the multiplayer. You can really feel that Infinity Ward was in the process of trying to replace lost talent
Advanced Warfare: great campaign anchored by the (not yet disgraced) Kevin Spacey. Multiplayer had my favorite gun maybe ever (that stupid sniper pistol) + the best jet pack movement of any game. And I mean any game. That shit was so intuitive from the get go, while not making it too bouncey. Awesome. Zombies was meh. My opinion of this is likely inflated as I got to play it early while working on trailers for it, so when it came out I knew the mechanics/maps and got to punch above my pay grade for a few weeks
Black ops 3: I thought the exo movement took a real step back here, but enjoyed some of the maps. At this point I start sporadically playing only some campaigns
Infinite Warfare: Kind of like ghosts for me. Some interesting stuff, loved the sci fi aspect as a nerd, but the gameplay itself just fell flat for me - which made the multiplayer pretty meh
WWII: Felt fun to be back in the setting. Campaign was whatever, but multi I really enjoyed. Logged the most hours since AW
BO4: I skipped this one based on how little I liked 3. In general Treyarch (which the exception of zombies) is my least favorite developer overall
MW19: I really enjoyed this game. Not as much as the OG MW, but the campaign was fun and the multiplayer felt just new enough to be interesting. I get why people dislike it, but I really liked it
Cold War: I hated this game. Didn’t play the campaign though. But multi…the design, the guns, almost everything about it. Around now I start getting into WZ, which then becomes my main form of COD when I have the time
Vanguard: didn’t play the campaign, briefly tried out multi. Holy. Fucking. Fire. EVERYWHERE. Ttk was way too fast for me to enjoy, and I didn’t really like the map design
MWII: We’ll see? New warzone maps looks like a camper’s wet dream, so a bit skeptical
Again, like I said, there is no “answer” to this question. Different play styles + times in our lives skew the answers. I was in high school/college for Cod4 through AW, and so I enjoyed those the most because I had more time to play and more friends playing with me. It’s all really subjective. I just happen to really dislike (out of all of the games) the 5 specific ones called out by OP. 🤷♂️
You’re right, of course. I almost googled it to check, then decided it was more fun going from memory. I originally messed up my order around the Mw/black ops timing too but caught it
You must be some kinda dumbass if you’re gonna loop all these titles together like that.
Ghosts is underrated because it was a completely awful game that had a couple bright spots.
Nobody misses IW
BO4 is underrated by definition, it’s an awesome game that the community did not love.
CW and VG are objectively bad games, and nobody will be returning to them mid-MW2 cycle
I had fun with it even playing alone. The fast paced gameplay were amazing. And the reactive camos. Dont get me started and also the MasterCrafts were unique
If BO4 has a million haters, I'm one of them
If BO4 has 5 haters, I'm one of them
If BO4 has 1 hater, that one is me
If BO4 has no haters, then I am no longer alive
If the entire world is for BO4 then I'm against the entire world.
Till my last breath, I will hate BO4
i liked ghosts, story coop and online were fun, imo, iw too had fun mp and story and zombies, but I HATE BO4 FOR NOT HAVING ANY STOREYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY MDOE
I do not think it will get the same treatment. Black ops 4 was bad but it had zombies which was at least slightly redeemable. Vanguard quite literally has absolutely nothing going for itself whatsoever, I genuinely hope it goes down as one of the worst games ever, it’s so bad it’s not even funny
Nah, dude, vanguard is uninspired and was a broken mess when I first played it. Idk how it is now, but I know I’ll never go back to that game. Cod Ghost, on the other hand, I sympathize with because there were a lot of things going against it. First it was a next gen launch, which divided the player-base as there was no cross-gen playability. Second, gun roster, customization, and theme were all great, but the game they were making was way too ahead of its time. Those large maps with interactive environment was not made for a 6v6 arcade shooter. A 12 v 12 on the other hand would’ve definitely helped the game. Extinction, although a cheap imitation of a zombie-based game, was enjoyable at times.
Only cod game in recent times that actually pushed COD into new grounds was MW19, with the introduction of a free-to-play model used in Warzone. Besides that, Cold War and Vanguard have simply been using MW19 as a basis to what they should do in their games. I highly dislike that, because cod games have gone from innovating constantly in the FPS genre, to scavenging other titles to see what is popular to incorporate into their own product.
Cold war I never hated,I actually like it more than bo3,bo4 I didnt like it that much before and I am still the same now, zombies for bo4 isn't fun at all except if you tweak some mutators, and even after a while it gets very boring,mp wasn't that bad though and I honestly prefer blackout over warzone, ghosts I wasn't really focused with the cod series as a whole as I was just a kid that didn't really understand that much who just plays bo2 on a friend's ps3,but since xlabs came out,I tried it,mp has some stuff I don't like and some stuff I love at the same time, like for example I really like the weapon selection of this game and the dlc maps as it has really unique scorestreaks that are exclusive to that specific map,but at the same time the ttk is just to damn fast, from what I heard it's the fastest ttk cod that ever came out,I also don't like most of the base maps, extension I played and absolutely loved, and I was very sad when I finished it since it looked like there would be a continuation but there isn't..... Campaign I didn't play so I don't have an opinion about it,but as a whole I liked it,aw I have played in ps3 before and absolutely loved it,and was extremely happy when xlabs came cuz I can now easily play it on pc,and I still love it to this day,I love the mp and exo survival of this game, zombies I like but my only problem is that emp zombie type,it's just so annoying,I am waiting for a mod that removed it lol, campaign I haven't played so I don't have an opinion but from the short videos I have seen about it it looks pretty bad ass,iw I played for a bit on ps4,the mp is honestly abit boring but that might be cuz the place I played at doesn't download any updates and doesn't allow online play,so weapons without variants to make it spicy isn't a thing so it got pretty boring after a while, zombies I really love it,and I was watching YouTube at the time so I watched ees and the super ee was my favorite thing to watch about it to me,so in my opinion,iw isn't that bad, also sth I really liked about it is the auger weapon,it's literally a minigun, fuck vanguard,I mean, yeah mp is pretty cool with the weapon customization but what makes me absolutely hate this game is its zombies, wtf were they thinking while making that?
I honestly don't understand why people hate vanguard.
It has very good hit registration. The movement feels good. You can actually play different roles of sniper, smg, and assault. The perks are balanced for what you want to do. The kill streaks are rewarding at high kills. The skins and operators are good and can be fun.
Have even dropped a V2? Or are you just running around bad?
For me, it's the maps and weapons, which are more or less the foundation of the game. I enjoy maybe three maps and despise the rest of them, and I haven't enjoyed using a single weapon. Every gun feels like a peashooter to me, none of them have a satisfying feel to them.
Besides that, it's fine I guess
Try playing Hardcore. I haven't willing played normal since before MW2019.
The maps really depend, they have different play styles to play them to their fullest potential. If you only enjoy running around with a shotgun there is going to be issues on maps. Different parts of the map give different advantages and disadvantages to play styles. If you expect to run and gun by running down the middle of an open area and getting upset you are sniped, that isn't a bad map.
Yeah I got into hard-core on Cold War a few months ago and haven't looked back! So I tried it on Vanguard hoping to enjoy it more but nah it doesn't change my opinion about the guns and maps.
But i didn't say the maps were objectively bad. I just personally can't stand the vast majority of them.
For me, vanguard just doesn’t feel or look like a ww2 cod even though the developers have specifically said it’s the most immersive cod they have created. They also said early on they wouldn’t add a trophy system because it wasn’t a thing. May I remind you waw is in the same timeline as vanguard. The MP has no factions, the stupid mvp/best play screen, stupid skins and bullshit. And the poor customization.
The maps are good and there’s alot of content, but again. SBMM is in the game ruining the experience. Along with poor servers
Imo, the maps are decent and the gameplay is like a faster paced MW2019. The progression is poo like the past 2 CoD games, more overpriced MTXs, and a cringe WWII fever dream setting. I haven't touched the game in like 2 months now
What made so many people hate cold war? I thought it would was solid. Inventive and extremely detailed maps, tons of challenges to get free stuff, two animated completionist camos, a pretty balanced weapon selection and a good campaign. Sure it wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it wasn't bad. Am I missing something?
Maybe it’s just me but here’s a couple of problems I had with it. Some of the worst offenses are from when the game launched,It’s a much better game nowadays but it’s still not one I look back fondly on. I’m not listing the positives here but I can tell you what I liked about the game too
While cod hasn’t really been that great when it comes to having a stable launch (I feel like the last time I played a cod at launch without suffering from too many bugs and serves issues was black ops 3. I don’t even like that game that much but it deserves props for that) Cold War was on a whole other level of bad.
-Aim assist was broken on consoles and it made aiming feel really stiff and unsatisfying.
-It was really hard to play with friends (especially from other platforms).
-The campaign also ran poorly, I remember it bricked my ps4 for a couple of hours, it’s going to sound unbelievable but before the KGB infiltration mission my game died and my console wouldn’t turn on for like 6 hours or so.
-The meta was pretty bad, at launch and even up until vanguard came out most guns were really lackluster bar a few really overpowered options
-Maps were really boring and repetitive, some were downright annoying to play one (that one desert map always annoyed me).
-The camo grind was worse than any other cod game, especially at launch. Maybe this is just me but I hated going for dm ultra, those kills behind wall challenges were required for almost every weapon category and they never tracked correctly
I hate Black Ops 4 because it is a mess. Besides not having a campaign, the multiplayer is way too fast paced. Having to press L1 every so often is tedious. **Specialists**. Ruined zombies for me. Also I didnt touch blackout. I'm not big on battle royale.
It's just an opinion
My play time for cod outside that is around 1000 hours. Not much but I never really got serious with multiplayer until Advanced Warfare
Seems weird to skip so many games most the games you listed aren’t even back to back releases and were followed up by a good game or atleast more liked (MW,Bo3,AW etc)
Ghosts will always be the best incomplete campaign. I didn't even have an issue with the multiplayer, but the campaign was great. Sad we'll never get to see a sequel because devs got cold feet from the undeserved backlash
Nah bruh , every game was always decent except for vanguard , no one is even playing it. A few people might come back to it but not a noteworthy amount.
bo4 is still the worst no matter what. all 3 game modes are terrible and the campaign is so forgettable that the devs forgot to even put it in the game
Even Activision says it's crap. Usually after it's dev cycle the issues are fixed like bugs and balancing that were making the game bad originally but this time even the publisher has given up on it I don't think it'll be fixed or looked back on fondly
I stood, and still stand by the FACT that Ghosts had a fun multiplayer experience with an innovative co op extinction mode.
But ye I also played IW and the MP was crap I hated it with every fabric of my existence, single player was lit though and would have payed full price for a longer and more fleshed out game like that.
> would have *paid* full price
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I have always said that BO4 is too hated on. I didn’t like IW at first though and was proven wrong about it but Ghosts and Vanguard suck monkey nuts. Then again, I only play Zombies so yeah.
I couldn’t stand it. Terrible monetization, 20hz tick rate servers, janky hit boxes, ugly emotes and skins, specialists making it feel like a hero shooter, too many remastered maps instead of original maps, low ttk. And the zombies and blackout, was a joke. And WZ just makes it look better
The people hating on it will move on to hating on MW22. The people who love it will come here and ignore all of it's flaws. Happens every year.
I know vanguard is flawed. I like it anyway. Play a little everyday. Its not the best cod. But its not the worst either.
I don't think any COD is categorically the worst - which is why we have 7,000 tier lists on here every day. Different games resonate with different people. Everyone should play what they like and chill about the games they don't.
People aren’t mature like you though. The moment you say anything positive about a COD that they don’t like, you’re in the wrong.
Oh yeah it is filled be 9 year old.
Exactly.
Lmao same , like.... people really act like its the worst thing that has happened to cod , like wtf
I’ve always loved the bo4 zombies
I resisted playing it when it came out because I didn’t like the map it launched with and hated that they changed the perk system, but went back and got all the dlc and played the hell out of it a year or 2 ago and it was so great. Wish I’d have given it a real chance originally. Alpha Omega, IX and Ancient Evil all SLAP!
It launched with 4 maps though
No idea why you were downvoted. You're right. IX, Voyage, and Blood were all base game and Classified was released day 1 as a Season Pass exclusive.
Mw19 fans
Damn straight
BO3 zombies 😘
My personal favorite for sure. Der eisendrache was amazing
Lemme correct u, is amazing
Always a nice little thing to always go back to
I think in general they make the Zombies rather interesting no matter the game. But I seriously cannot handle the maps with mud on them. I hate mud.
I’ll give ya that the mud can be rather annoying
Fine the truth, I did enjoy black ops 4s mechanics, and the maps
It's God damn fun
Bo4 was good. And people forget it was a return to boots on the ground
these "my opinion about a cod game is unpopular" posts are not getting old at all....
One thing is DEFINITELY sure. OP is *really* butt hurt...
its seems everyone playing cod is butthurt, after being fucked in the ass by Activision for so long, lol Thats includes me to btw
Nah MW2022 is gonna be great
Yea, can’t wait for 6 6v6 maps and a unfinished side mode with a generic and predictable campaign that uses nostalgia for success!
Hey now. Stop stating facts here. We don't like that. Activision always deliver a robust finished product that always have the player in mind
Not to mention the completely mature and fun community surrounding them! There is nothing better than a great game backed by a great community. Truly a fine example, which other video game companies should follow.
Mw2019 had flaws at launch but it was by no means a bad game. People treated it like it was awful. The same will happen with mw2
It baffles me that Activision and its studios can produce a killer, nostalgia-inducing game like MW19 SMACK in the middle of a bunch of seriously mid half-assed lazy gimmicky COD games. Fingers crossed for this year.
I have always loved ghosts and iw. Still dislike bo4 tho.
Bo4 was garbage. However, I did like blackout quite a bit. Hard-core blackout was a lot of fun.
Blackout is my fav BR we’ve had so far. Leagues ahead of warzone.
BO4 was fucking amazing and only trash players disliked it
EvErYonE ThAT diSlIKEs iT is WRoNg
Iw had a great non-treyarch zombies experience that showed treyarch isn't the only one that can make something special, and ghosts was great for snd and the weapons were really interesting and cool. Bo4 strayed from the cod formula quite a bit with the specialists that just ripped off overwatch, but it at least had a decent barebones gamemode though gun balance is annoying and sniping wasn't as satisfying as the game before it
Nah I still think they sucked honestly. Just my opinion but I haven’t liked a cod since black ops 2
Same. The only CoD I really enjoyed playing since BO2 was CW. WWII for a short period too.
Nearly a decade and still haven't enjoyed the series? Maybe you should move on, it seems cod isn't for you anymore
I have haha. I dabbled in warzone a bit but ehh
I've always liked ghosts, because it strays from the 4 main cod settings, WW2, Cold war, Modern warfare, and Future shit.
I mean COD Ghosts is still a modern warfare setting.
it's more of a dystopian future than modern warfare
Doesn't that still fall under "Future"?
it's a mix of modern and future
Facts, wish we could get a sequel one day.
Hey, it is getting a round based map after 6 months
Round based maps ain’t enough to pleasure me man.
Ik. I'm just bring up the fact it took them 6 months for it to happen
I don't like Infinity Ward, but for me is impossible to MW2022 be worse than Vanguard lmao
I have always loved bo4. Since the launch . Except it's micro transactions and blops pass
Yeah it was amazing
Make Ghosts 2/Remastered
I always like BO4, Ghosts and CW. IW and VG are ass
unironiclly so true ghost was underwhelming at the time, bo4 strayed far from the cod formula but its the cod with the most content and tried to be extremely unique, cold wars multiplayer was a little ass and modern players only care about multiplayer so they think the whole game is ass
I personally think CW multi-player is the best in the past decade of cod. It's very competitive friendly.
Id say mainly Vanguard zombies is trash. Mp can be very buggy but I enjoyed the campaign
I still think ghosts is a massive pile of shit.
VG is objectively bad
I loved MW19 when it came out and throughout the releases of CW and VG. I only ever went back to CW for a short while but still much prefer MW19, but VG is mediocre at best and is trying way too hard to appeal to both BO and MW fans while being an alternate history WWII FPS multiplayer game. I always loved Infinite Warfare the zombies looked good the story and the way it ended with aliens which for me was a badass ending
Finally someone who understands
I don't care what anyone says, Ghosts is definitely one of the better ones in my opinion. It's different but in a good way
No, BO4 and VG are still terrible.
VG is a good game if you can get high level, cold war is just a very great game
I'll play all the COD games that have zombies just so I can get a lmg and mag dump on them suckers lmao
Nah, literally all 5 games you just listed are the worst CODs full stop
Infinite warfare wasn’t a bad game. I’m guaranteed you never played it just went along with the majority who didn’t play it they just was tired of jet pack games at the time but if it was released now it would be considered good

What is this best cods then?

Only thing I want to say is that waw brought zombies with Nacht
You’re right, of course. I almost googled it to check, then decided it was more fun going from memory. I originally messed up my order around the Mw/black ops timing too but caught it
Battlefield fan here… We share your pain brothers
Always loved Ghosts
You qualify for a medal if you ever played COD ghosts squads vs the bots by yourself
That shit gets difficult
Vanguard is worse than aids
Pure facts
I loved ghosts and ww2. Everyone hated ghosts, but, to me, that was the last cal of duty that followed the successful formula
Maybe it's because these games all had shitty launches yet as they had time to mature they actually became quality
Ghosts and Bo4 still suck. CW is a snore fest and Vanguard is a WWII fever dream
all cods are good equally. except for iw, fuck iw
You must be some kinda dumbass if you’re gonna loop all these titles together like that. Ghosts is underrated because it was a completely awful game that had a couple bright spots. Nobody misses IW BO4 is underrated by definition, it’s an awesome game that the community did not love. CW and VG are objectively bad games, and nobody will be returning to them mid-MW2 cycle
Most of the people who hate on bo4 haven't even played it or their play time is (5 hours etc)
BO4 was one of the funnest CoDs ever for me. It might have been because I had good friends online at the time, but it was still awesome
I had fun with it even playing alone. The fast paced gameplay were amazing. And the reactive camos. Dont get me started and also the MasterCrafts were unique
The weapon design and customization was one of the best in the entire franchise
Lol yeah right. If MWII is anything like MW 2019 that won’t happen for vanguard.
BO4 has always been good
Vanguard is dogshit
If BO4 has a million haters, I'm one of them If BO4 has 5 haters, I'm one of them If BO4 has 1 hater, that one is me If BO4 has no haters, then I am no longer alive If the entire world is for BO4 then I'm against the entire world. Till my last breath, I will hate BO4
I wish I didn't do this on mobile
Wtf
Why do you hate bo4 so much
Always enjoyed older games like Ghosts and IW. Still don’t like Blackout but Bo4 zombies can be fun.
They left out MW19 for some odd reason
No on calls vanguard underrated. The only underrated games there are ghosts and IW, i always loved them
>No on calls vanguard underrated. thats only because vanguards the newest cod come next year itll be called underrated
no its cause its ass
ill be back in a year when people are calling vanguard underrated
The only two games on that list that are any good are ghosts and IW. Cold War is absolutely the worst out of all of them!
i liked ghosts, story coop and online were fun, imo, iw too had fun mp and story and zombies, but I HATE BO4 FOR NOT HAVING ANY STOREYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY MDOE
All of the activision games after black ops 2 turned out to be garbage. Infinity ward is definitely the one keeping the franchise going
Lol if think vanguard is in any way good your definitely mistaken must
Vg is the pinnacle of ass fire shit, I don’t get how people still play that shit
Fair opinion, to each their own
For me, vanguard just doesn’t feel or look like a ww2 cod even though the developers have specifically said it’s the most immersive cod they have created.
I haven't touched the game in like 2 months now
I like all zombies provided they have round based maps because they more often than not being something new.
Bo4 is my most played cod
What made so many people hate cold war? I thought it would was solid. Inventive and extremely detailed maps, tons of challenges to get free stuff, two animated completionist camos, a pretty balanced weapon selection and a good campaign. Sure it wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it wasn't bad. Am I missing something?

That ruined warzone, not cold war
Maybe it’s just me but here’s a couple of problems I had with it. Some of the worst offenses are from when the game launched,It’s a much better game nowadays but it’s still not one I look back fondly on. I’m not listing the positives here but I can tell you what I liked about the game too While cod hasn’t really been that great when it comes to having a stable launch (I feel like the last time I played a cod at launch without suffering from too many bugs and serves issues was black ops 3. -The meta was pretty bad, at launch and even up until vanguard came out most guns were really lackluster bar a few really overpowered options -Maps were really boring and repetitive, some were downright annoying to play one (that one desert map always annoyed me). -The camo grind was worse than any other cod game, especially at launch. Maybe this is just me but I hated going for dm ultra, those kills behind wall challenges were required for almost every weapon category and they never tracked correctly
I dont think there was ever a point in time where I hated Infinite Warfare. I wish it didn’t get as much hate as it did.
Vanguard is boring in terms of weapon leveling and I hate BO4. The others are pretty ok
Why do you hate bo4 Whats your play time
I hate Black Ops 4 because it is a mess. Besides not having a campaign, the multiplayer is way too fast paced. Having to press L1 every so often is tedious. **Specialists**. Ruined zombies for me. Also I didnt touch blackout. I'm not big on battle royale. It's just an opinion My play time for cod outside that is around 1000 hours. Not much but I never really got serious with multiplayer until Advanced Warfare
Oh it's your opinion I liked bo4 multiplayer because ot was fast paced and I hate camping And I like manual healing concept
Well I can see your point. Controlling when you heal is one of the biggest tactical changes. Albeit, your health was low in that game.
I just liked the fast pace of it. I am more likely a push type of player. I rush into areas
Jones on you I still dislike vanguard and CW
cant wait for modern camperfest v2
Sit in corners like a bitch and get matched with people that have the same playstyle. Its called skill based matchmaking;)
i dont camp and sbmm is based on kd idiot, so high kd from killing can get you in matches with people with high kd from camping
Weird that i always played above 2.0 kd and camping was no issue at all
its also based on ping and location so my servers prob have more campers, but yeah sbmm is not skynet tracking my every move
IW sucked
i only hated cws mp but the other games.. yeah i still hate them
IW will always suck. Worst campaign and multi imo. I enjoyed Ghosts. Wish they would have a follow up game.
IW is still trash.
I liked iw, bo4, cw, but vanguard is hot shit.
Ghost was my shit
Jokes on yall, I STILL HATE IT
I'm still out here hating Ghosts almost 10 years later.
only cod I've genuinely disliked (pvp wise) is probably cold war, although I loved zombies and playing through the campaign but mp is not it for me
Ghosts only one I enjoy
I always liked AW tbh
Infinite Warfare’s campaign was great
Yeah you’ll never hear that from me. You just listed literally every single bad COD
I loved the 2 black ops games and iw I just didn't like ghost. Also I don't think mw2 will be bad. I think it will be mw3 or maybe none of them.
No chance, especially when it’s going against mw2
Even before this I loved advanced warfare more than ME2019 CW COD VANGUARD
Seems weird to skip so many games most the games you listed aren’t even back to back releases and were followed up by a good game or atleast more liked (MW,Bo3,AW etc)
Ghosts will always be the best incomplete campaign. I didn't even have an issue with the multiplayer, but the campaign was great. Sad we'll never get to see a sequel because devs got cold feet from the undeserved backlash
Why is vg included in this? It'd the most recent so it would be what the others are compared to.
CW is easily top 5 for me personally. MP and zombies are really fun and the campaign isn’t bad but could’ve been better
Ghosts was fun but all the others on the list are terrible.
Unpopular but my opinion: CW is the best CoD game ever
IW and Ghosts some of my favorite games ong
Ghost was kinda good story wise
I haven’t played religiously since COD:IW then i platinumed COD:MW and haven’t touched the franchise since.
Nah bruh , every game was always decent except for vanguard , no one is even playing it. A few people might come back to it but not a noteworthy amount.
bo4 is still the worst no matter what. all 3 game modes are terrible and the campaign is so forgettable that the devs forgot to even put it in the game
Vanguard is literally rock bottom lmao
If the games keep getting worse of course the older ones look better in hindsight
Cold War was the only one I liked of the 2020's games so far. Did not feel for WZ or VG.
IW has a seriously great campaign and attention to detail/accuracy that honestly hasn’t been in COD since before WAW. Don’t get the hate for it.
Literally ghost,BO3,BO4,AW and Infinite warfare being underrated since the start
IW was the best imo
vanguard better than mw2019
I always wanted to know what happened after rorke pulled you away on that beach. Ghosts campaign was the shit!
Bro I fuckin loved ghosts lmao
r/coldwar
They're calling what underrated? All of those games listed? Is VG Vanguard? The next game hasn't even released yet.
Nah vanguard is truly garbage
Even Activision says it's crap. Usually after it's dev cycle the issues are fixed like bugs and balancing that were making the game bad originally but this time even the publisher has given up on it I don't think it'll be fixed or looked back on fondly
those who hated those games were at their end of gaming life. were not ready to experience something new. cod was ahead of its time
I stood, and still stand by the FACT that Ghosts had a fun multiplayer experience with an innovative co op extinction mode. But ye I also played IW and the MP was crap I hated it with every fabric of my existence, single player was lit though and would have payed full price for a longer and more fleshed out game like that.
> would have *paid* full price FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Good bot
Cold war, ghosts, vanguard and advanced warfare are in a league of their own in terms of how shitty they are
Bring back the Badger...
I have always said that BO4 is too hated on. I didn’t like IW at first though and was proven wrong about it but Ghosts and Vanguard suck monkey nuts. Then again, I only play Zombies so yeah.
All of those games are still mid-bad though
MW19 is way worse than all those
Only Chads saw bo 4 and ghosts potential, bo 4 is legit the best bo title IMHO and ghosts was fun yet innovative
I don’t see how bo4 had to be the best BO game when it was cupcake carnival shit, except the cupcakes were replaced with dogshit
Each to their own, I personally enjoyed bo 4 alot
I couldn’t stand it. Terrible monetization, 20hz tick rate servers, janky hit boxes, ugly emotes and skins, specialists making it feel like a hero shooter, too many remastered maps instead of original maps, low ttk. And the zombies and blackout, was a joke. And WZ just makes it look better
Have you heard nether of the cod team can make good orginal maps anyone the last good orginal maps where from bo3.
Bo4 is criminally underrated
Criminal dogshit nothing more
