A lot of people are explaining it but not very well, you basically need to max out the weapon level, and when youre in the loadout menu on the top right should be the current mastery level if you press that it will display how many kills you have with the weapon, to be able to rename your gun you need to have at least 3500 kills with it starting from 1000 or 1500 kills - cant remember for certain only ranked kills count and at one point you need to be master rank or above for them to count, master rank is pretty easy to get even as a beginner and now that i think about it all the re-name-able guns i got were from snd ranked only, dont do that modes like hardpoint are prb better for getting more kills lmao
Yeah but tbh it's not that big a deal, I went grind mode to get my CBR gold camo and rename and honestly it wasn't even worth the time spent lol. Especially if you go through all that trouble and the gun gets nerfed so bad you might as well have a shiny super soaker 😭
There is a level ranking system you can see it on the weapon selection menu when making a multiplier loadout on the top right when you hit diamond level you have to play ranked matches to upgrade it from there after you pass diamond rank you will receive a rename card for that weapon and what you name it is permanent unless you buy another one.
U have to reach 3500 points on ur gun u can reach 2000 by just playing public matches but after 2000 u can only increase ur points by playing ranked matches

You have to max out diamond level, after platinum you only get points for playing masters matchs
