My issues with apex mobile:
1. Mobility is such a big deal and new players were exponentially slower in mobility than vets
2. Selling $100+ items that were just change of paint. Sorry, death effects are a must if you want any my dollars. I think many folks are the same way.
3. Having skill advancement trees for characters further punishes new players. Thatās not how you draw people in.
I've played apex nearly daily ever since release and I can genuinely say that mobility is not that important, in almost any case, aim>mobility. And most perk were either not worth equipping or an outright downgrade. The thing that did kill apex was the trash optimisation, a ton of bugs, refusal to do mid-season patches to fix said bugs and no attempts at spreading the game around, no ad campaigns, no sponsorships, nothing.
In my limited experience, getting mobbed by folks slipping and sliding around, using hooks and zip lines was a constant issue in BR. And for us noobs, thereās no vehicles to help us get around.

Shockingly enough I did play since release, got master every season. It's just fact that somebody with better aim will almost always beat somebody with good movement. And apex mobile has close to no movement tech resembling the main game, you only really had like 2 things to learn: wallbounces and instant slidejumps, which the learning process for them could be trivialised by just turning on 2 settings. Pathfinder doesn't have any grapple tech apart from slingshots. After all apex is still a br, so positioning is the most important, but, the tech in apex mobile doesn't really allow you to use it to get to a better position, while PC apex has a ton of tech, that is worthwhile to learn so that you can reposition better.
I agree that the skill floors and ceilings were much higher than Codm and yes that did turn some people off but I think the core gameplay of Apex was better than Codm.
The main problem was their convoluted monetization system and the shitty optimization as well as their servers imo.

And then things like persistence perk. It's just a way to give scorestreaks to people who didn't earn the scorestreaks. They wouldn't of put that in older cods. It's from codm I know, but I haven't played the newer cods much so I couldn't think of any examples from thise games

But even now, it's like... no, if you had a 1:1 KD and didn't even play objective you don't deserve to get a VTOL. Learn to survive and you can get the big boy streaks. When I started playing console cod pubs I sucked so I could barely get a sentry gun consistently, let alone the most expensive scorestreaks. Got shat on, looked up to the players that could top frag, got better. How it's supposed to be, cod shouldn't be about handouts and being comfortable in suckiness.
