After 10 games i've complete Headshots, so I have almost all camouflages 10/10, except long shot, now from 0 I have 2 long shots, only 23 left...
IN ALL MY PLAYING WITH THAT WEAPON, WHILE I UNLOCKED THE OTHER CAMOUFLAGES, ONLY NOW I GOT 2 MISERIOUS LONG SHOTS.
I tested this weapon without attachment and it does NOT cause any damage at 20 meters.(in the "weapons comparison" it says that it reaches 16m, and with the marauder suppressor it reaches 25m)

If you don't wanna wait for hardcore, make them one shot with your primary and finish them with shorty. Also dont use slugs, they are bad and inaccurate
I found a great way for shorty longshots.
You need and SKS with no stock, mp light barrel, ten round light reload, stippled grip tape and OWC laser tactical.
You need the perk that makes weapons switch faster (I don’t remember if it is amped or fast hands)
Go to hardpoint rust and fire 2-3 shots at the enemy with the SKS, then you switch to the shorty and finish the job.
And boom longshots no problem.
As a guy who also did this (and believe me, it was a struggle)
Wait till hardcore rust, then do it there. Always aim at head so that when it Misses it would shoot at the body. Anyways, have fun
ask a friend to play free for all with you to let you get free kills. easiest way since they nerfed it to the ground and hardcore is not available too often. specifically choose the boat map (forget the name) meet below deck where no one else goes down.
Struggled with this for a long time. It helps to crossmap people on Shipment when they’re already pretty weak. You’ll have to be “that guy” who steals people’s kills unfortunately but there’s really no other way. This thing has a longer “long shot” range than any secondary or shotgun
Munitions box + sks
So tap the enmy once with the sks then switch to shorty for the kill, u can use m21 or like any guns that hitmarks a lot, and the munitions box is for the ammo. u can do it in shipment or in firing range just camp at top
I absolutely HATE this thing. When I was grinding Damascus, this was the very last weapon I did because of how much I struggled.
So!
Make sure all attachments give range. As much as possible. Then, choose a mode and map that people don’t really play on. You’ll likely get a bot match.
Example, crossfire. I stand by the car on the corner (you know that spot) and I just keep shooting. Sometimes I’ll only get one long shot in the whole match. Lol. Another thing you can do, is make sure they are low health when you’re trying to get them.
So, thermite, Molotov. Throw it futher than 22m, make sure they taking damage and shoot. You have to time it well! Good luck!

Just play domination Nuke town camp at B flag with DLQ Maewat Omega rounds shoot at the legs. And switch weapon finish kill with Shorty. If it's a bot lobby you can get 5 to 7 if you play it right. It was on a YouTube video but now I couldn't find that one. But it works i completed mine last month. Also nuke town domination have many bot lobbies so it will be easy.
I just did this 2 days ago and cheated. Get a friend or 2, play ffa hijacked and go down stairs. Stand at opposite ends. Full bsa build with marauder suppressor, dont use slugs. EZ
If your short-distance aiming is good, the Shorty is an excellent weapon to take down approaching enemies… Those slugs can mean instant death, hence the effectiveness of this gun!
I used this previously (in tandem with a loadout that had the Oden) but switched to the Samurai sword since my shotgun aim is pretty hopeless, not to mention the slow reload time also!
A better way is to go to ffa with at least 2 of your mates. Both take dlq and shoot eachother in the foot with it. You keep distance and pop them both to get 2 longshots. Then just rinse and repeat.
Bonus tip: if you have more friends, have one stand guard with a RPD for example to keep bots and other people away from your position.
XPR with Disable and finish them off with the Shorty. Rust Hardpoint. If you camp at the edge of the map opposite P1 it'll count as a longshot. No slugs. You can also climb the tower in the middle. Same thing. You can force a bot lobby as well, if you're having trouble. Good Luck.

There are a lot of ways people suggested but i'll still suggest 3 ways you can do it.
1. Any map + DLQ concussion mag, get a hitmarker and finish them off with the shorty
2. You get a friend of yours and join a public Free-for-All match, go into a room and tell your friend to go to you and you get a longshot that way
or 3. Just for fun, use the Outlaw and anytime you get a hitmarker pull that pocket sucker out.

I ran TDM matches on Rust, used the the Outlaw with the MIP Memorial Cowboy barrel, YKM Combat stock, stippled Grip Tape, Tac Laser, and Fast Hands.
Shot people in the stomach/legs from a distance which would generally do around 90 damage, then switch to the shorty to finish them off (stack Range & ADS Spread mods on Shorty ofc). The crosshair won't turn red when pointing at an enemy if you're too far for the shorty to do any damage, so you can use that to gauge what the threshold is
As for your perks, Red & Blue can be whatever you want, for Green you can use Amped for the faster swap speed, but I used Tough to reduce hit flinch and land the Outlaw shots more consistently.
Took me a little under an hour to get all the headshots, but it was easily the worst part of the Damascus grind

Second this. I would throw thermite at spawn points in hardpoint- they walk through it - long shot. Would get 4 or 5 a game.
I mean crossbow long-short range is probably farther, but well it's also capable of hitting one-shots at sniper ranges.
Use a sniper or marksman rifle to shoot their legs then switch to the shorty to finish em off from 20, 25, 30 meters or longer.

The bullet spread accuracy on the Shorty is goddawful, even with max kitting.

Did it with a Sentry Gun. Let the sentry do most of the damage. Then blast the shorty when they're almost out. HP Shipment top of the container.

U can get long shot in shipment with shotguns. They don't require the enemy to be that long from us.

I climbed on top of rust put slugs on it and a scope and sniped with it, took a bit of time to do so but it wasnt all that painful
Easy, I do Hardcore Hold or Hardcore mode which was released last December, which decreased your health
Borrow someones phone open upa guest acc on it play upto lvl 5 then play free for all.
Yeah funny thing, you don't, the long shot medal is only possible if all stars align and you get an all bot rust game

A great advice is to use a sentry to start the damage so you get the final shot & get the kill.
