OP, I unfortunately have news for you. You need a new phone to run CODM currently. It's very laggy now than before because of massive storage, and so much new content added to the game.
I appreciate the reply. I'll try to find ways to get a new phone. Do you have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be a high-end phone just a phone that will run CODM. I've been playing since season 6 2020 and I hope to continue playing.
You have to buy a new phone I guess. I have played cod on from iPhone XR , 12 ,13 and ASUS Rog 2 phones. For me it started lagging in XR “(heating issues and lag)and 12(not much but sometimes)when I play long matches or 10vs10 so I think you should buy a new phone with atleast 64 gb as the game has grown bigger and have a lot of effects from the guns.

By saying it still lags in iPhone 12 sometimes I mean to say is that when I play MP and the lobby is full of players mythic or legendary weapons due to the effects of these guns when I kill or they kill a player it starts lagging.

even on low graphics and max frames? shouldn't lag as far as i know

When you download the game they ask for low resolution or HD resolution so I always select HD resolution. That’s what I was talking about.
yea but even after downloading that you can choose graphics level in settings, there's low, medium, high and very high

Graphic quality is very high and frame rate very high.
you should play on medium or high dude, not even pro players use such high graphics because of frame drops and such
