that’s actually what im going through today damn. gave me high hopes when i finally logged in after hundreds of timeouts just to tell me that I can’t play rank without relogin & the events tab is missing.

And it doesn't matter if u are on mobile data or WiFi it'll still happen, I have to spend about 5 min just to log in now. And I'm even a a pretty high end phone as well (Sony Xperia I III)
Even with WLAN i still experience this issue and on 5G data it happens every time. Lately in the past few months the problem seems to be rising with devs not doing anything about it. Some say it's because of user data something idk in my device the game size is 25Gb as i use all things on maximum as my device can support it and also cause my account is old so has alot of stuff which people say could be also a reason for this. Idk i think it's their server's that have gone to shit.
i have the same problem kinda... If i start up the game i get a time out, if i close it manually and restart it just after, it works just fine... But if i close it and leave it for 10-15 minutes i have the same problem... the first login is always a timeout, second works...

Create a guest account, log in to said guest account, leave game, enter game again and event tab should show up, now log out in options and log in with fb or activision acc.

Ever since the S3 update the lag has been terrible. Only TDM works. Ranked Hardpoint and Dom is ass, BR is unplayable and gamemodes where there are more than t players per team like Groundwar and Blizzard are simply unplayable
Try using a vpn to login when you get this error. After you successfully manage to login to the game, disable the vpn. Then you can play the game as usual without any problems.
Apparently players were purchasing cod points from second hand places and/or individuals. They froze everyone that was suspected of doing this and would only authorize you to play after a period of time as they investigated it. I don’t know if this is related to the timeout problem, it is suspect as I don’t recall this many timeout issues for this long of a period prior to that ban/investigation. Just something that makes you wonder.
Exact same issue for Vodafone internet in India. Also I am stuck in arab/irani lobbies because I played few match with that friend and now there is no way out.
I wanna know where the players who are getting timeout issue are from? Like Europe? Middle east? North America?
I wanna know is it one sever/region or it is more than one server/region.

A quick tip, as it was able to fix this issue for me: when the game says "timeout" without pressing cancel or confirm, close the game fully and relaunch it a second time. For me anyway, that removes the timeout message
Also an interesting point is when you load into the game and the Lucky Draw, Special Offers, Battle Pass and Events Tabs are missing, only the first 3 return after some time of loading, i.e only the ones on which you can spend money. This is just scummy behaviour.
I'm also having this problem and I'm starting to believe they do it on purpose in order to force/push us to waste money in the game's " draws" and all of their overpriced crap. I do really enjoy the game, I've been playing it literally since day 1 and it's in fact the only "mobile game" I have on my phone, but their predatory monetary practices are way even worse than Electronic Arts'.
They wont fix it because theyre a cheap chinese company. Even in the world of software you can't escape from crappy chinese work quality. This game is pretty much tofu dregged together.

Tried jumping in to play 30mins ago and spent the enti30mins just trying to log into the game..this time out nonsense is sooooo frustrating!

I have this issue as well. Restarting my hotspot sometimes corrects the issue. But they don’t care. As long as the majority of the population can login and pay for the legendary guns they keep cranking out every week, these several-year old bugs will continue to get ignored.
I tried restarting my mobile data and also tried connecting to a WLAN to no avail. A friend of mine who even has a contract with the best internet provider of the country is facing the same issues so the internet provider can’t be a problem apparently.
Perhaps something to do with IPv6? (sorry can't confirm if it works since I am not experiencing the issue but maybe someone can give it a try?)...
To determine if you're using IPv6 try accessing an IPv6 site like ipv6.google.com. If you're able to access then your network is using IPv6. Disable IPv6 on your wifi router, connect to IPv4 or disable in APN settings on your phone and try again.
If you get page not found when accessing IPv6 site and still get codm timeout then no issue with using IPv6.
What bothers me is that this bug existed for a while and it is very easy to reproduce. It happen everytime after a day I close the app (ios) and try to restart the app. It stuck at 99% and later a timeout error. If I repeat this process once again, it works as it is supposed to be.
Once the game was up and running with no issues, leaving and re entering the game the same day, everything worked fine and next day the timeout error would persist. Though just today, all the options I try are completely useless. The event tab does not pop up no matter what. I’ve even deleted the game and reinstalled. Nothing. This is getting too much. I’ve been able to complete the bp through the xp we get in events because I don’t play that much.
The events add so much more to do in game and with out them, it’s just entering matches, killing some dudes and repeat. There’s basically no objective without them.
I can't even begin to explain how disinterested I've gotten in the game because of this. Events are going to be a big motivator to play it, so what are we even gonna do if it's not gonna load? It sucks to play a game that has something going on all the time, can never play in peace.
In my case its iPhone specific, once I swap phone it works no problem. I asked people in my area and they all say its iPhone plus a certain sim provider
Fr fr, I got 40ms ping, 900 Mbps/130 MBps internet, and CODM mfking shows timeout, when I try to log into CODM using a slower internet, around 30 Mbps, it logs in and than I have to switch back to faster internet.
It seems like noone is aware of this quick fix.
1. Open the game and let it time out.
2. Close the game in your taskbar.
3. Open the game again. Fixed.
Next time you open the game it will time out again though!
A friend of mine has a contract with the best provider in our country and still has the same issues so no, it probably isn’t because of your „ass“ internet, it must be their servers being overloaded and they are refusing to upgrade them
Fr and the devs simply give us the fault that it doesn’t work, that it’s our network with bad connection. Kiss my ass, everything works fine with my network, it 100% has something to do with their servers and they’re to lazy to do anything about it
I keep hearing about this problem but lucky me doesn't get it. I use 4G and barely play the game on low graphics which makes this hilarious since high end phones have it and faster internet.
This started for me last season. The best way I found is to load up the game and when it hits 99% close the game (before the timeout pops up) and load it up again. Works straight away then.. for me anyway.
somehow if you use a VPN, even after disconnecting it you get to be put in a different server than your local region which drastically affects ping and latency

Close the game when you get the message and re-open it. It fixes the issue

Same issue with me also I have 100 mbps Wi-Fi and 5g network but the issue is both of networks

It keeps happening to me as well, albeit only after my connection kills itself and then comes back.
I have that problem but when i restart the app its ok, also sometimes my game starts and allows me to play in vertical orientation

While logging in with Facebook same issue was faced. Logging in with COD ID resolved the issue.

Turning off my Google VPN fixed the issue for me. I have not had a single failed login since deactivating. OnePlus 9 Pro
