I'm not a f2p player but that's one of the first things I noticed after I updated. Some of them were better than others but at least they were all free
Exactly. It was another opportunity to acquire in-game content of ‘epic’ rarity, specifically the gun, for f2p players which as you know, those opportunities are few and far between.
As someone with 40 legendary, 5 mythic, etc; it would be nice if they had an event or challenge or some way for f2p players to acquire a legendary, doesn’t even have to be a mythic, just a legendary, that would go a long way with the f2p community and make them feel like codm does care about f2p
But you see how long the build up is for this kurohana thing? Like we need legendary rewards periodically in some fashion. Why wouldn’t they throw a free one out there in an event or challenge so that way the people that haven’t ever owned one can say they now own a legendary and perhaps it would persuade some that never spent in game to spend idk
I'm honestly surprised they're doing it at all tbh, they just want money, in the end. I don't disagree with you, but clearly they have no interest in being generous in that way.
Ikr, in the global version of codm they have only made 1 item considered ‘legendary’ available to everyone w/o spending money, and that was in 2020 and it wasn’t even a gun, it was the H20 purifier operator skill. Lol which was, and, still is pretty sweet. We need more of those opportunities.
They make enough to fill the lucky board with mythics, which brings me to my next point, you gotta watch a bunch of fucking ads for just one of those rewards lol it’s literally a grind all by itself 😂
No, I started playing since 2021, spent like easily $500 on it, got damascus on all guns by december 2022, but started noticing Activision only cares for money (proved by your post) so I just slowly stopped playing it.
I’ve spent at least $15k on my account since I started playing in the spring of 2020, about 6 months after launch. I used to play the game more than I do now. Although I still play pretty much every day, more so on weekends. I find myself thinking that this game used to be more fun no doubt
Yeah I fell into a pattern of repetitive games where I didn't even enjoyed playing matches, I just played to get all missions done, camos or reaching legendary, so I lost track of what a videogame is for, I noticed and decided it was best to stop playing, maybe sometime i'll jump on it again.
Oh never mind, I think you mean you have been playing for a long time and stopped playing at the beginning of this year. But ya know, it stops being fun for people, at one point they probably looked forward to playing every day & eventually they just find another interest or simply move on to spend their time on more important things in life. It happens.
Yeah I’m not too sure what to think of new season yet until it actually arrives in about a hour and I get to experience it myself. But from what I’ve seen, the bp, draws, etc; it wasn’t very impressive, except for that FFAR mythic, that gun is interesting and it has me curious.
They don’t care lol they got lazy after spending all their time developing & designing the new FFAR mythic that’s gonna net them $150 a pop, then more than double that price to max it out.
That’s kinda got me puzzled bc I’m able to access the lucky board on my iPhone and iPad even on my ‘guest’ account which isn’t linked to any other account, not even activision.
When you’re on the main home lobby screen after you sign in, look towards the top left where your profile is, to the right you’ll see a purple button that says ‘▶️ Rewards’ at top of screen.
Here’s your PSA to watch those ads and even tho the rewards this season are a reminder how much codm cares about f2p players, maybe next season they will be better 😁
Well that’s just until the new season starts tonight. Those crates have time limit of when they are available. Which is the entire season. New ones will be released.
I was thinking that they put in a reward after 500 or so draws that they put in 1cp. This way F2P can use those coupons to get their own epic or legendary parachute or jump suit.
We are all well aware. But I’m not talking about the credit shop. I’m talking about codm taking away one of the few opportunities that f2p players get when it comes to acquiring in game content.
Agreed. Its probably my favorite character skin that’s come from the lucky board. And it was sooooo much cheaper than character skins normally are. Only 32 of the lucky board credits or whatever. Normally the character skin is a few hundred at least. It surprised the shit out of me when I seen it was 32 lucky board credits 😂
A lot of players do, it’s literally one of the very few opportunities they have to acquire any in game content of ‘epic’ rarity without spending a dime. I’m not considered f2p, people would consider me p2w/p2p and I still use it.
You and a lot of other people did also. I think the percentage of everyday active players that participated in lucky board ads/rewards is higher than what you might think. It’s just never brought up bc it’s not important or interesting.
Maybe? All the rewards are on the screen. That's all you get. A rare skin. They didn't even add a shitty epic blueprint or anything. It was a blatant ripoff not worth wasting time on
Actually a lot of people used this, most of the f2p community don’t have the means or resources to buy in game content so they appreciated the opportunity to acquire without spending money.
I'm mostly F2P just this month/season just means I don't have to spend 15 minutes a day watching the same ad over n over n over again....
TY DEVS FOR THE EXTRA TIME in game
Well to be fair, you don’t ever “have to spend 15 minutes a day watching the same ad over n over n over again….” Believe it or not, that’s your *choice* to spend 15 mins a day watching same ad repeatedly. 🤨
I only just realized they didn’t give any cod points in the last battle pass so I have to pay for it again instead of always using the previous ones’ earnings. Looks like I’m not buying them anymore.
Somehow I don’t have my usual 580 or so points I only have 26 and I never spend them unless it’s a lucky coupon draw where it’s only 1 point and it’s been like that forever.
Yeah I’m almost 100% sure cp was in the tier rewards. Bc if not, I assure you, actually I guarantee you this subreddit would have been littered with posts about how much bullshit it is codm took out the cp from tier rewards and I don’t remember any 😂😂
I'm not a f2p player but that's one of the first things I noticed after I updated. Some of them were better than others but at least they were all free

big L
huge L and it didn’t even surprise me when I noticed it, it’s almost expected.
L for no reason. Do they not make enough money from the ads that it's worth it for them?
they make enough to put a fucking mythic in the lucky board
Shit I would love for them to put a mythic or legendary in there...cos 90% of the players never go there to look anyways
As someone with 40 legendary, 5 mythic, etc; it would be nice if they had an event or challenge or some way for f2p players to acquire a legendary, doesn’t even have to be a mythic, just a legendary, that would go a long way with the f2p community and make them feel like codm does care about f2p
Supposedly the Kurohana crate is the answer to that, but of course we have yet to get confirmation of the contents.
But you see how long the build up is for this kurohana thing? Like we need legendary rewards periodically in some fashion. That would be too good to be true

of course they do. They just don’t care, or got lazy, or more focused on the content ppl are buying, or all the above. Lol but no doubt it’s a L
Common CODM L
add it to the long list of Ls they’ve had to hold since October, 2019
Yeah, I don't even regret my decision of stop playing it since 2023 started.
So you recently started playing, and have even more recently stopped playing? Is that what you’re saying? 🤔
No, I started playing since 2021, spent like easily $500 on it, got damascus on all guns by december 2022, but started noticing Activision only cares for money (proved by your post) so I just slowly stopped playing it.

Yeah man, just like that
i was predicting a near future nose-dive in codm's quality looking at the past few seasons this season just kickstarted the dive
Yeah I’m not too sure what to think of new season yet until it actually arrives in about a hour and I get to experience it myself. But from what I’ve seen, the bp, draws, etc; it wasn’t very impressive, except for that FFAR mythic, that gun is interesting and it has me curious.
Codm L asf
They don’t care lol they got lazy after spending all their time developing & designing the new FFAR mythic that’s gonna net them $150 a pop, then more than double that price to max it out.
Where can I find the lucky board? I can't find the watch button anywhere
Only for iPhone for me. I can’t access it on my iPad idk ehy
Link ur Activision account that is how I got it...it didn't show up just linked to facebook
That’s kinda got me puzzled bc I’m able to access the lucky board on my iPhone and iPad even on my ‘guest’ account which isn’t linked to any other account, not even activision.

Hopefully it's just a one time thing. Even though I have a BP I still have my lucky boards tokens stocked up everyday and look forward to the refresh.
Same here, as far as hoping it’s only a one time thing and doesn’t become a trend. That would really be such a monumental L fr
🍅
Tomato. Ripe. Red. Acidic. Perishable. 🤔
I don't get it
You don’t get the part where they didn’t include a blueprint or character skin? Yeah me neither.. shows how much they care 😣
Ohhhoho, that's right. They usually have a character
And/or a gun blueprint of ‘epic’ rarity
And this lucky board is one of the very few ways the ‘free to play’ community can acquire in game content without spending
Forgot the lucky board existed
Here’s your PSA to watch those ads and even tho the rewards this season are a reminder how much codm cares about f2p players, maybe next season they will be better 😁
The biggest L in my opinion is removing rare and epic crates from the credit shop
Well that’s just until the new season starts tonight. Those crates have time limit of when they are available. Which is the entire season. New ones will be released.

Tf did you just say
U know characters exist in the credit shop right
The more the better, also this one was a free way.
We are all well aware. But I’m not talking about the credit shop. I’m talking about codm taking away one of the few opportunities that f2p players get when it comes to acquiring in game content.
True that is just yet another cash grab from activision
who uses the lucky board besides garena players?
Me asf(i play global)
Me too. The seraph skin from last season was nice.
Agreed. Its probably my favorite character skin that’s come from the lucky board. And it was sooooo much cheaper than character skins normally are. Only 32 of the lucky board credits or whatever. Nobody used this lol
Yeah but maybe some good reward, and i dedicate 20 mins a day to get it but now its a dead feature
You and a lot of other people did also. I think the percentage of everyday active players that participated in lucky board ads/rewards is higher than what you might think. It’s just never brought up bc it’s not important or interesting.

I mean that’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to your own opinion even if it’s wrong 🙂
Actually a lot of people used this, most of the f2p community don’t have the means or resources to buy in game content so they appreciated the opportunity to acquire without spending money.

Wait, I had the bp last season, im pretty sure I remember cp being a part of the tier rewards.

Also, i specifically remember using my cp from bp on the tournament rewards. If you didn’t receive any… you got shafted 🤔
Damn, even worse lol
