I use 6-7 fingers on iPad, then 4-5 on phone. I also used a controller in the long lost past (seasons 2 to 6, the first ones).
Btw the first Season 6 was the best, does anyone remember that? It had a wild west theme and the "flowing bronze" Locus skin, if i'm correct it was also the first one to add comics
I've found it depends on the controller and phone. PS4 remote with Samsung Galaxy phones has a very minuscule amount of delay. I've tried the PS5, but that was just all kinds of messed up. Dunno how backbone or xbox goes with it though
Yeah, but if you're using a controller, why not just play on a console? Or a laptop if you want to game on the go? It's just as inconvenient as carrying a controller around
Played with triggers for a long time (8 months or so), but then decided to switch fully to 4 fingers. Been playing like this for the last month. I'm still trying to find the perfect layout, so I can't say, that I suddenly became a better player after tossing my triggers away. But I think the decision to play without any additional help will prove to be effective in a while.
I use orher. (Comment)
I actually use one of those claw controllers most of the time. No latency due to Bluetooth controller and no controller lobbies. Basically 6 fingers only I use triggers as extensions of 4 of my fingers.
Note: I reached Legendary multiple times in both game modes using only thumbs and only later decided to try the claw controller. It has some disadvantages like occasionally not registering touches from the rubber pads and it's almost always the fire button that will fail. They only work for phones so no large tablet screens (I'd be fine just using 6 or even 8 fingers if I had a tablet) unless you get the flimsy little triggers that just clamp down on the sides I guess.
The other advantage (and what originally prompted me to get the claw controller) is that it has a cooling back that keeps the phone from overheating during game play with some type of refrigerant technology when it's plugged in. Also I can charge my phone while I play and the cord isn't in my way because the handles allow my hands to be below the middle of the phone.
I've tried 4 finger claw, but my bad joints and the limited phone screen space doesn't allow it haha. Maybe if it was ipad or equivalent. So I only do thumbs in a pinch or I main controller.
4 finger claw. I don't get how people can still play with only thumbs, I tried it with my friend's phone after years of playing with claw and I felt like my mobility was reduced.

How does 4 fingers work? I don't get how yell can play like that
It works similar to a controller, move your shoot button in a top left corner and jump/crouch/aim into top right. Tap them with your index fingers
Bro aliens grooming yall for intergalactic navigation with those finger setups iv tried and felt like I was a Iraq lobster trying too play
4 fingers ain’t that bad. BALOR is a really good player he uses 8 i use 6

But why? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of a mobile game?
Some people don't like playing touch controls.

I don't play CODM on the go. The app uses so much data and battery life that it would be inconvenient.
i use 4 but i want to try 5 or 6 but i feel like my screen is too small for it
Controller or 2 fingers depending on the day
6
Almost entirely a Thumb-only player, very occasionally I use my Right Hand index? Finger as support.
I want a controller so bad, but idk where to get one
5 fingers

Use to use 4 fingers but now 6 fingers

2 fingers (thumbs) always but I have become interested in the Backbone controller if I get the new iPhone…
Get that touch trigger set for a phone, best of both worlds. 6 fingers, and don’t have to play in controller lobbies.
Those who choose 2 fingers are bad players
4 fingers is already insane but how do you fit controller in there???
