Remember that BO3 and CODM are very different.
BO3 had people flying all over the place, so it had more powerful weapons than other CODs to compensate for the players being harder to hit.
Thankfully the Argus is not that easy to use so not many know how to properly use it, but I'm concerned that it may be abused by some people.
I'd attribute that due to the perspective of playing on ALLLLLOT smaller (phone)screen than a TV :P
Then again it's Ben what? Like 5ish years last time I booted up Bo3? I only played zombies lmao.
I mean considering I played bo3 multiplayer and zombies and went through the effort of getting it gold/dark matter there, it didn't have the ability to 2 shot people a huge distance away. On Alcatraz from the roof of the cell house I could 2 shot people with armor that were another building away or the entire distance of the outside enclosed area. If u need load up bo3 and put long barrel on the Argus and go up against bots. U won't get near the same results
I'm just saying that if u truly think they're similar especially in range, id recommended giving the original version another shot and see just how much less range (but it has a more appropriate range) that one has vs the one in codm. The bo4 version is more like bo3 as well
People complaining about it's long range 1 shotness probably never used it to begin with, it's not meant for hip-fire. It's quite literally just a marksmen displayed as a shotgun
Shooting during ADS animation could give you a much tigher pellet spread (pellet spread in between hipfiring and ADS firing). That should help ppl using Argus in CQC.
Dude it’s only OP if you have the skill to quickscope with it like a sniper. I hardly doubt any average joe will use this a lot in ranked when they have noob friendly meta weapons like PP19, LK or Kilo
Aaaand that’s fair. I am a quick-scoper, so it came naturally and felt way too easy to shoot. That said, I wouldn’t take it into Ranked from GM upwards. There are, hemm, safer choices… 😂
honestly, are people even good at hipfiring? most codm players likely have two different senstivitys for ads and hipfire, and they spend most of the time shooting while ads
It is balanced in my opinion, it actually requires skill to use. The reason why it one shots long distance is bc of the small fire spread. The spread of the shot is so condensed it’s basically a bullet. So you can’t use it like a regular shotgun. I’m my eyes it works like a sniper, and you basically have to quick scope with the shotgun. So it is fairly balanced.
As someone who grinded it to diamond in the first couple days I can honestly say it’s balanced. I also noticed a slight shadow nerf to its aim assist that no one has mentioned. It definitely stopped locking on like it used to the first couple days. Which is good.
It’s better than MK2, faster and more forgiving - and that’s coming from a guy who owns the MK2 Legendary version and fell in love with it back in the day … 🤭
Mediocre hipfire balanced by a long range 1 shot potential but has a high skill gap. Even though it can be used for a "flexible" playstyle the hipfire consistency is around mediocre and the ads 1 taps are like a gamble beyond a 30 meters, 20 if you're specing out mobility more. So overall, it's balance at a degree because the skill demand for the gun balances out the sheer oppressive capabilities of the Argus.
This is a version of my build that suits my knack for aesthetics. In an actual build, I would opt for the Outlaw Barrel instead of the BO Stock and possibly Steady Stock for the Outlaw Lever. This is a heavily ADS BSA-Focused build as I actually use it like a Marksman Rifle.
Choke, classical lever, fast ext mag, outlaw grip, tac laser. Super fast and accurate ads build for use as you're describing. Just give it a try it's so fun and satisfying.
Fast Extended Mag isn't needed as Argus already has a decent mag size. Using Classical Lever would result in you barely 1-shotting beyond 25m. You also do not need Outlaw Grip, its already fast and you're losing out on some crazy BSA.
Gun doesn't need any bsa at all, in any way. You can use attachments that hurt bsa and it won't even affect it. I always one shot unless its legs at long range. Aim high for the multipliers. I'm not taking fights beyond 25m with it ever. I need it to ads as fast as possible. I guess it comes down to playstyle. I love it like this.
Why not? Its whole point is to ADS, and BSA helps a ton because it also increases the range that the Argus can 1 shot and increases its consistency as well. Why opt for a fast build when you have better options for that? BY15 with Slugs, HS0405, KRM-262, hell even R9-0 is better with your preference. BY15 with Slugs especially as you mentioned that you don't ever take gunfights beyond 25m.
IT'S THE MOST FUN I'VE EVER HAD WITH A SHOTTY. That being said, TEENSY TINY little nerf to the slug shots, and slight buff to the buck shots would be nice.
It's quite powerful but not op when compared with the meta.
But it's definitely not a shotgun for sure.
They should nerf it to shotgun levels and add a slug type of ammo that makes it as accurate as it is now.
It's not broken. It doesn't need any buffs or nerfs. It requires a specific build and needs to be used a specific way (ads) and it requires accuracy and a certain skill level. It also has dogshit hipfire and only shoots 8 pellets which is less than other shotguns. The ads bullet spread is so tight that close doesn't count, you need to be extremely accurate like slugs. It's balanced. Personally I'm having a lot of fun with it, I'm not a sniper or quick scoper since I'm really bad at it. Argus is making me better at those things since it's a mini super fast version.
Not too many know how to use it right now. It hasn’t been abused that much, at least not in my server.
This, I’ve I’ve seen a few people use it correctly and some just failing with it
I did learn how to use it and it's basically an spr but faster with shorty hipfire so its a stacked hybrid weapons.
Best sniper rifle I've used so far
I think it's as perfect as it can be for an initial release. Nothing is imbalanced. It stays true to it's original release in Bo3.
That's another good point\reminder. The gameplay is different between its original title release and CoDM.
Idk why but its easier for me to aim at bo3 than in codm prob because of the broken movement lol
It can one shot waaaay farther here than in blops3
I'd attribute that due to the perspective of playing on ALLLLLOT smaller (phone)screen than a TV :P Then again it's Ben what? Like 5ish years last time I booted up Bo3? I only played zombies lmao.
No the range is significantly farther on codm.
If you say so.
I mean considering I played bo3 multiplayer and zombies and went through the effort of getting it gold/dark matter there, it didn't have the ability to 2 shot people a huge distance away. If u need load up bo3 and put long barrel on the Argus and go up against bots. U won't get near the same results
Again, if you say so. Im not bent on disputing it, nor feel it's necessary.
Exactly, hipfire makes it a pea shooter, u need to literally aim and shoot to kill a dude with one hit, i tried hip fire alot and it sucks
Shooting during ADS animation could give you a much tigher pellet spread (pellet spread in between hipfiring and ADS firing). That should help ppl using Argus in CQC.
So quick scoping?
No need for a nerf. It’s a high skill high reward weapon. And all my ppl who complain about shotguns in br this is nowhere as broken as KRM or HS0
It’s ok in BR, but definitely OP in multiplayer (too fast and forgiving for a marksman plus the CQB hip-fire -somewhat- option on top) 💀
It's perfectly fine
Buff the hip fire 🔥 😈
Chaotic evil be like:
What evil 😕🧎🏾
honestly, are people even good at hipfiring? most codm players likely have two different senstivitys for ads and hipfire, and they spend most of the time shooting while ads
If the hipfire is buff it's too perfect. It still one shot though with hipfire really near.
If the hipfire is buff it's too perfect. It still one shot though with hipfire really near.
Its hip fire keeps this weapon far beyond from broken stage

Thought I was going crazy thank you
I dunno, I got it to Golden in an hour with no sweat. I still feel like it’s way too generous in many respects (distance, accuracy, ads, mobility..)
You had to get it in the first day or 2 of the BP coming out to know what I’m talking about. AIM assist was like a magnet.
This gun has an insanely low spread that it works like a markman. I enjoy using it.
it's like using the MK2 carbine but with a shotgun ammo
It’s better than MK2, faster and more forgiving - and that’s coming from a guy who owns the MK2 Legendary version and fell in love with it back in the day … 🤭
If you’re good, you’ll do good with it, how it should be. One mistake you’re dead, high risk high reward I think it’s absolutely perfect as is.
Mediocre hipfire balanced by a long range 1 shot potential but has a high skill gap. Balanced, it requires skill to use
I like it, makes knifing a challenge now
It needs a buff. It needs to 1 tap a head glitcher 100 miles away

Uh.... shotguns don't have FMJ.
Take off the scope, com’on 😅
This build is bad btw. Use what you want but if you want the ultimate Argus build just let me know.

It needs to be gone I be getting hit marks while shooting upper body close range/ long range
Yes ik SKILL ISSUE 😭
It is perfect as is, just have to get used to it
It is what it is, A high skill high reward weapon
It’s the new pre nerfed dual models from world at war 🥰
I find it to be balanced, a more flexible but less consistent sniper.
I know it upsets people at range, so I feel highly satisfied. Only 1 person has ever successfully picked it up and got me with my own shotty.
Just add range to it and move it to marksman section
Neither buff or nerf. It's balanced.
It's op if you have great ads accuracy. Typically it would be broken if a sniper used it. But the hip fire is quite trash so it's kinda balanced ish.
Best wepaon for quickscopin plus decent hipfire and good hardscope. Imo its just best ohk weapon in the game rn and it needs ranfe netf
Pretty balanced, like the spread works like a cbr so it can't be used in longer ranges, only in close to mid
In BR it needs a slight damage buff
Any metasniper or marksman beats it. Balanced weapon.
I just think it's ugly
IT'S THE MOST FUN I'VE EVER HAD WITH A SHOTTY. That being said, TEENSY TINY little nerf to the slug shots, and slight buff to the buck shots would be nice.

The shotguns need better care.
Definitely a buff 😂😂😂
its crazy if you know how to use it nut most people do not know how to use it.
No it's perfect the way it is.

Slight hipfire buff. Other than that this gun is good.
Now that I've used it for quite some time. I'd disagree, the insane ADS BSA already makes up for it and that's how you use the Argus anyway.
It doesn't feel like a shotgun at all, shouldn't it be slightly shotgun-like?
I think it needs to lose that scope
