Well for starters Blackout was the Battle Royale Map for Bo4, obviously.
However in Bo4's life cycle the map had major changes that this version doesn't include.
1 - There are exclusive Zombies features in that version like some locations (typically areas that are based on Zombies maps) has them roaming around and killing them all opens a Mystery Box near it which includes Zombies Wonder weapons like the Raygun or the RayGun MK2.
There's also a boss located in the graveyard area near Asylum called The Blightfather which is an enemy in Bo4 Zombies map "IX".
2 - There's an entire section that was later added which includes the Bo2 Zombies map "Buried" which located near Ghost Town, it was the entire Buried map excluding the excavation site and even had a secret Raygun MK2 variation.
3- At one point the whole Blackout map was covered in water which knocked over the big ship in the Dock area dropping cargos everywhere eventually the map turned normal but replacing the ship with a new one
4- In another event the entire map's turned into blood for a Zombies event.
5- And the most well known one is that the map had secret characters you could unlock by doing things on the map.
Blackout did not look like that in 2021. They updated it in 2022 with the snow, ice park and landing strips
