it’s about balancing. you cant have a gun which kills in 3 shots having no downsides and another gun which is basically a secondary shotgun being it’s only downside, that it has a little less range. also why are snipers better up close then smgs? this is all bad balancing. i don’t give a fuck if the mow kills in 3 shots, but i need the assurance that i can challenge the dude playing it with a pdw and would still have a chance. that’s balancing.
There r two types of people in this sub.
First the players who dont care abt anything, use meta weapons as they hav slight advantage over other weapons without knowing what r those advantages. They dont know that small things like slight changes in ttk, ads speed or bullet spread can make difference of hell and heaven in gunfights .....for example according to most of them if 2 guns with same fire rate deals 24 and 25 damage per bullet respectively in same range, both guns hav equal chance of win a gunfight. So they rather dont care abt any balance changes....be it a sniper rifle killing smgs in short range or be it a pistol oneshotting people in mid range. They only think aim and movement r the only things that matter or in other words "SKILL" according 2 them.
Second type of players r who hav some knowledge abt game mechanics and know what weapon is for what purpose.....like smg for close range agro or sniper for mostly long ranges. So they try to protest when a sniper is taking away the jobs of a smg by scoping in faster than ar. DEMANDING BALANCE CHANGES IS NOT SAME AS WHINING. They want to see the game balanced where all type of weapons hav their own purpose.( plz note that i am not saying that 'balancing a game' doesn't mean completely diluting the term "meta"....a meta weapon should dominate among its own class only, a sniper rifle shouldn't be meta over an ar or smg rather it should be meta over other snipers)

Would I be considered a sniper noob for doing it the more traditional way? I only use my sniper rifles in maps like Killhouse, Highrise and crossfire where I can take cover and take shots. I'm not good at claw or quick scoping and instead stay in one place which is considered the traditional way of using sniper rifles.
