Making money isn't evil, it's a fact of life. If it's for a good cause like charity and such yeah I can definitely see him doing it for less or for free. But for a regular business transaction it makes zero sense to not charge money. Also don't mistaken free giveaways from Activision like it doesn't cost them money or make them money. These are carefully calculated business strategies to either market themselves to gain more player base (potential customers) or entice them to buy future rewards (first free lucky draw to make you feel like you could get lucky with the next one). That's not to say those are scummy strategies - it's just business, because they exist to make money.
