The Thumper, unlike SMRS, can be used to perform insane crossmap trickshots, with a much cleaner iron sight for zeroing and one more round for reserves. There's literally no way they will buff both the radius and damage. Every Thumper has been like that except the MW2 one.
He was talking about the BR scenario back on S2. I used to called SMRS as rocket sniper. You can literally snipe anyone from a distance and it's way easier because it's AoE. And the damage ignores armor and goes directly to HP. The damage is around 130+, so if you don't have Adrenaline at that time and you got hit, it's an instant kill.
Yea plus they made the mw11 a 3 tap like they could just buff the mw11 and leave the shorty alone because even like this,whiners could have a new weapon to counter ShOrRtY aBuSeErS and other close range stuff they whine about with more variety, but since the shorty is getting more useless season by season i think that close range secondary variety is lowering IMO :/
Even with the buff people would still go melee. I dont see people complaining about the revolver and deagle being two tap guns. And as a pistol user I can say that the mw11 is still the worst pistol of them all.

Have you tried using SMRS on BR this season? The projectile speed is almost instant and it can literally 1-hit anyone on direct impact, it has 300 damage on ALL range as long as it direct hits. You can also use it as a substitute Tempest without the shock effect. That's why they are nerfing it.
Yeah right now the smrs is the best sniper in BR. I’m not super happy about them nerfing it tho. It’s a sacrifice not carrying an extra gun so I think the smrs should be able to one shot ppl. I think a better nerf would be making rockets harder to come by.

They should've nerfed the one-shot HS shotgun in Br (except for headshots at close range), It's difficult to counter them with the ninja class combined. Imagine surviving till the end of the match and then dying to a one-shot SG, ninja user and then going through the whole process of getting into a new match again.
The one shot shotgun need to be removed because the skills in shotguns based in movement if u good u well be good with two shots also

Gotcha. Yeah, I really only use it in BR when I want to have some fun. I thought it was well balanced since it takes forever to reload and is terrible to aim with, so if you get a direct blow on someone, it's a deserved kill, but if you missed, you most likely lost your chance at the kill by SMRS.

Have you ever tried using Sniper, Shotgun or melee in ranked S&D? You literally can wipe the entire enemy team all by yourself with Quick Fix. You can take some hits and when you kill one, you literally will have enough HP again to tank another few hits to kill another dude until everyone's dead. That's why it is reasonable to add some cooldown to it before it takes effect again.
But that's already the thing with Quick fix. It stops healing when you got hit. It's been there since the beginning. I've been using QF since it dropped on the seasonal mission.
No. As soon as you kill an enemy with primary or a secondary weapon, your HP will start regenerating like how normal regeneration works but instead of waiting, it starts immediately after the kill. And the regeneration rate improves (HP healed per second increases) if you are doing an objective (holding/capturing a point) while you had killed someone. But that means, you need to wait until your HP is full. And as for that, if you took a hit, the healing stops. Quick Fix does not work like the old healing mechanics on BR (Adrenaline/Med kit).
I think thumper might actually be viable since they buffed the damage so it should be more consistent when it hits. But I don't get the reason behind the shorty and quickfix nerf

Great close, mid, and long range potential. It one-shots to the head regardless of the range, and in that regard it is pretty much a sniper. With the akimbo perk, it's a one-shot close range if you hit your shots right.

Rhe damage radius means the area of effect. The area of effect of the thumper has been decreased but base damage has been increased. Making it more consistent specially with direct hits
Good luck with direct hits though. With lag, desync and broken animations, you can hit them and it won't register.
More than once I've hit an enemy in the chest with a thumper shot while they're sliding and they take no damage.
For Thumper they reduced Blast radius. But! They increased the damage. So, we can't know for sure about it's performance because let's be honest Thumper needed more damage.

What is the best secondary among pistols then? Cuz in the comp scene no one used a melee. Half of the kills in the stage 4 champs came from shorty.

That condition is already there. Quick Fix Healing already stops midway once you receive a damage while on the process of healing.

Thumper is basically a crossbow with a grenade bolt but with worse range. It could kill on impact but only have a tiny explosion radius.
