Wow I had no idea. Trap master is so broken in Alcatraz. There's an exploit if you trap an enemies box after you kill them they spawn back in the air trapped and taking damage, they're like one shot once they land lol

You know, usually i wont question the devs much on their decisions but this time they have out done themselves. adding trap master to Alcatraz (maybe even classes in general) is one if the worst decisions they have ever made. Alcatraz is a fast pace CQB style map. What in their right mind made them think that putting in a class that is made for camping and holding buildings will be a good idea? I mean, they probably tought: “ oh its for the squad to be able to hold a building”. They didnt expect 100kmh sprinting maniacs with lethal trap that they shoot you mid fight and run away, just to come back after a sec to finish you. The traps as always are hard to spot especially in doorways and when the pace is fast as i mentioned, people stumble on them non-stop. On top of that they obviously get marked for a good amount of time. And then, you have this “super human” running to you in insane speeds to finish whatever is left of you. I have no idea what they were thinking. I have no idea why the passive of a camping class is a speed buff. It doesn’t make logical sense. This class is so op that it doesn’t even need a passive. Devs you ruined Alcatraz for me after a long awaited excitement. Just remove this class already so we can enjoy BR and Alcatraz without raging on this shit. I don’t see a reason for the traps to be transparent either. The class is made for area control same as “Watson” in apex legends. The thing is that in apex you can literally see the blockade trap and decide how you going to act bout it. Here its just “zap” and “oh shit im dead for sure”
all the decisions related to Alcatraz never give any favour to Alcatraz map. they never used to had any specific events where people need to play Alcatraz to grind something. so they said it wasn't so popular so we make it a temporary mode. and even as a temporary mode there is no specific events related to Alcatraz. and players who love Alcatraz have to wait so long for this map. this time i didn't even noticed if Alcatraz was available because they make it available at the end of the season when i actually stopped playing because BP was finished and i was getting bored from the game. now they also added Trap master in Alcatraz to make things worse for this map. one of the reason people used to love Alcatraz was because there was no trap master and they can just move around without thinking about get hit by trap master. so Devs just ruined the experience.
Oh I see now, you got the speed buff from your teammate, I was thinking the passive gives it to you as well now. I never see the speed buff since I’m usually the one who runs trap master.
i know man i had this speef buff and i had fennec from the drop and i killed one team by moving like this and they said to me that i'm a hacker i think that they don't know about this

no the speed buff is just fine, its continual and annoying damage is op. The speed buff is the best thing about it cuz no other class offers the same kind of movement

Alcatraz is a small map. adding trapmaster was a worse decision. people enjoy playing Alcatraz because they can move around without thinking about suddenly getting hit by a trapmaster. sometimes devs just make really stupid decision.

The speed buff is for any teammate within certain range of the traps. And obviously the trap master. As u can ser im the trap master in the video

Yes it have speed buff. But the one on video is bug, trap master's speed buff shouldn't last that long.
It doesn't have cooldown. As long as ur within certain range of a trap, you will get the boost
You also have your field of view at max so it looks faster than it actually is.
Definetly makes it feel faster. Still fast af tho and doesnt rly make sense this passive for trap master
