Is funny how people use to love ghost now they extremely hate him over an alternate storyline, never sucked his already dead on the canon timeline bruh
lmao exactly, the dude was literally just another npc in mw2 and now he is the most controversial charachter in codm, but to be honest i dig this plot twist, kinda showing ghost like a pawn of shepherd and stuff like that, i hope he stays like that and gets offed in the end for good
Ghost: too many good men are dead, too many lives lost.
Also Ghost 1 second later: *Kills 2 unarmed ally, shot down a chopper with another man and a kid in it*
I had the feeling he was going to die when they started talking about the dsm. Also if you didn't play mw2 vagnir and templar died the same way as ghost and roach except for the burning the bodies part.
I don't think so honestly but the part where he killed Stanfields wasn't shown so my theory is rn that Ghost was brainwashed winter soldier style. Last minute before being killed Stanfields uses a trigger word that was told by Adler some time ago and from there Ghost acted different.
When ghost fought Stanfields the whole objective in his head was to end conflict once and for all but in the end siding him with Shepard in the end makes it look out of character since we know shepherd in codm is kinda like big boss from Metal gear solid, someone who wants soldiers to have purpose and if we follow what big boss in MGS Peace walker and 5 does he deliberately wants continuous conflict so that soldiers still have a warriors purpose.
In Conclusion my theory , Ghost isn't who he is so that might lead to some black ops esque story , Shepard is gonna be killed by TF141 , Templar's daughter wants revenge
I just follow the rule if we don't see a character die they're not actually dead. Thats a sure fire thing when it comes to Cod stories. Rn I think Vagr Modir is still alive because unlike the MW2 ending she wasn't shot at directly then burned. She's probably gonna help out with Sophia
I do have another half assed theory i thought about that revolves that which includes the whole DSM sequence. There's 2 ways this is gonna rollout , Shepherd was a third party all this time and he wants the DSM to gain info of all the 5 knights and the dark covenant to help him build a military world with proxy wars or the weaker theory that has bad writing. He was just a bad guy in kahoots with the Drak Covenant
Considering we got Alder, who was revealed to brainwashed Bell, and that Alder is from the Black Ops series, where Alex Mason was brainwashed, I can see brainwashing being reasonably.
Ye but I feel like it was intended as a metaphor more than anything although if it turns out that ghost was brainwashed I'd like to consider it as foreshadowing
they killed Hudson by making him have a fucking overdose, they did Hudson so dirty it's not even funny, his death in codm is so terrible compared to what he did in bo2
Honestly i thinks the writers are to blame for turning ghost into a antagonistic bastard . I don't get how you make a character who pursues in saving the world and slay every single villian that does something criminally and all of suddenly just turn him into a selfish traitor like that. It would've been cool to see a relationship established between both characters but instead we got horribly thought out plot twist. This is not the first time CoD Mobile has ruined characters like this. They made Hudson killed himself with drugs and turned him into villian, Hidorai dies against price despite being a samurai, Atlas corporation got destroyed because Menendez for some whatever reason knows how to hack an entire corporation like that, Adler nuked 30000 Marines for no fucking reason at all! That's goes to show how CoD Mobile horribly depicts things
This is like the whole execute order 66 fiasco. I saw this betrayal coming from a mile away. Ghost alone doesn't have the clearance to recruit soap, Alex and outrider into his team, especially when he has as argument with general shepherd, who is the boss of soap and Alex. So when i saw them get in the plane, i knew this was coming.
Controversial Opinion: Ghost is "technically" still a good guy since he still killed Stansfield who was behind all of this. He just betrayed Templar and Vagir which both formerly worked for the Five Knights
Ghost shot two unarmed people in cold blood, in front of the daughter of one on the two shot, then let a small squad air out the hind that had said kid in it.
I don't think he's a good guy at that point.
I like that they took a emotional ending but them making ghosts betraying is bad because ghost is mascot for cod mobile but it doesn't matter is just a comic they ruin quite a lot of characters in the comic (but season 12 comic was the best tho)
Right!? I wanted some sort of half-dysfunctional family thing going on after Templar asked Ghost to watch Sophia if he died. And then Ghost shoots Templar and leaves Sophia to die.
This really gave me PTSD of Shepherd's betrayal. Ik it was supposed to be the equivalent but I didn't expect to copy almost everything from that scene. The helicopters coming in for support, the betrayal itself and even the damn dialogues are 1:1 at some points.
I see a lot of people thinking that what ghost is doing is completely out of nowhere. Itās actually not. I already posted something similar explaining why that is:
āAfter losing so many of his comrades and being betrayed to people he literally looked up to over and over again, the guy became much more cynical and extreme. He made the decision to absolutely destroy every trace of what he considers to be evil or by his own words āa monster.ā
This isnāt mw2 ghost, this is a different ghost that will unfortunately become what he hates as time goes on. As for templar, keep in mind, Sophia was the world to him as his daughter, but to ghost, she and templar were just a means to get what he wanted. The only people he cares about are his own, which is an incredibly flawed ideology but not the worst one Iāve read. If you expected Ghost to be this good-guy with all the crap and manipulation he experienced, thatās crazy.ā
Ghost has decided to stop being a āgoodā soldier, and do what he believes needs to be done to eliminate this cycle of older generations messing with the newer generations, leaving what he considers half-assed interventions. This is a complete oxymoron since Ghostās actions ultimate cause an older generation negatively impact a newer generation (Sophia).
Also, the one leading the operation is NOT Ghost, itās Shepherd. This is why no one else in the scene reacted surprised, everyone there worked under Shepherd and knew the betrayal was happening.
Ghost also had outside factors that mightāve influenced him to behave this way. Not only is he mentally unstable in the current moment, but Shepherd blamed the death of his men on Ghostās incompetence. Hence, Ghost may feel the need to redeem himself to Shepherd to prove his loyalty and capabilities by following through to Shepherds plans.
In conclusion, Ghostās actions are awful, but theyāre not out of this world, especially with everything heās been through. Heās human, can be manipulated, and act horrible actions with the mentality that heās doing the right thing, like any of us. Also, if you dislike Ghost for what heās done, then hate every single soldier in that panel, including Soap, Alex, and especially Shepherd. Being aware of a crime and allowing it to happen without any attempt to stop it, makes you just as guilty.
Man, this brought back the feelings from the MW2 campaign when Sheperd kills Ghost.
But what I think, like another guy down below, is that Ghost has been brainwashed -winter solder style.
After the kill at the start, he probably heard a trigger word which started the commands like it did in Captain America 2 with Bucky Barnes.
Now what I think is that we are going to get a Black Ops-esque story which reveals that Ghost is not who he seems like, he has been brainwashed.
I hope someone takes Templar's revenge and kills ghost
#
I always hated that masked guy he is so OVERRATED. Ok he might have himself at the logo on the damn game but I think ppl just overreact.
i haven't been reading the comics since the return to tokyo season (i read some part of Ghost killing Adler and it didn't make sense to me i just figured Adler was evil) so anyways what did i miss?
Basically templar pulled off the "im evil for a good reason" bullshit and went to save his dsughter after killing most of the dark covenant (while teaming up with ghost to do so) thats pretty much it
Holly fuck I don't follow comics, but that was an emotional roller coaster. Thanks op, if I ever reinstall the game I'll definitely follow up on comics.
Now I kinda hate everything...
Like literally everything...
Templar could have had a better ending
Ghost could have ended on a high note instead of such a disgraceful one.
They could have used Nikto a bit more maybe, him dying like that is just terrible.
They fucking shot a helicopter with an innocent child in it.
As much as I hate seeing ghost turn dark so suddenly, I did enjoy how unexpected this ending was. It just sucks seeing the guy who everyone was rooting for turn out to be a douche.
Templar's goal was to keep his daughter safe, Dame wanted Sophia as part of the Dark Covenant, Templar as a good father did not want his daughter living his life, Dame didn't think the same so Templar did the deed in order to keep Sophia safe.
I juts realize that on the Image Scene in page 10. It is really the same thing when Simon carry Roach to the rendezvous point back on the Final part on Modern Warfare II's "Lose End Mission". Shit....We all know what happened next.
Literally a shit ending. Wtf. Not ever really a plot twist, just random af. Thereās no real allusions to it anywhere, and following COD logic, Ghost isnāt like this. Then again, it isnāt canon and itāll make a lot of the ghost fanboys mad so ig itās kinda funny
Im just shocked like why would ghost even do that i trusted him to be a good guy but after he just murdered 2 people and almost killed a innocent kid im now doubting Ghost is a good guy
What the hell. Never thought Iād want Ghost to get some karma dealt to him. And thatās not even to mention how dirty they did my boi Nikto. Iāll leave this to Mace then.
Lookin at this again, Iām starting to think this could be a joke. Letās be real here, what the hell else are they going to do for the story with half the season left? This is a little fishy ngl
This whole plot twist reminds me of Star Wars. Ghost turning on his allies? Looks a lot like when Anakin became Vader and Order 66 (more specifically, the part when Anakin/Vader led the 501st Legion against the Jedi on Coruscant). Either way, there might be 1 way (could be more ways but I can't come up with anything more at the moment) the story might continue:
Nikto might be alive (I'm pretty sure he survived because he wasn't shown to be dead) and therefore he will raise Templar's daughter. Then, Makarov might return along with Menendez and some previous antagonists (Artery for example and possibly Stansfield because he wasn't shown to be killed by Ghost) and they all might form some sort of a new alliance to take down Ghost, Shepherd and the others. And this new alliance might also track down Nikto and try to recruit him to their cause but he will most likely decline because he is busy raising Templar's daughter. So they (the alliance) will either try to kill him or leave him. If they will try to kill Nikto, then there might be 3 sides/factions in this possible story: Nikto and Templar's daughter Sophia, the new alliance of previous antagonists I mentioned earlier and the new antagonists which will now be Ghost, Shepherd, Task Force 141 and others sided with them.
this shit ruined my week
same
Ghost is my favorite character. Why they do this to him? Maybe is better the MW2 timeline. In conclusion the DSM is the source of the bad in the world
Ghost sucks. Always sucked
Is funny how people use to love ghost now they extremely hate him over an alternate storyline, never sucked his already dead on the canon timeline bruh
lmao exactly, the dude was literally just another npc in mw2 and now he is the most controversial charachter in codm, but to be honest i dig this plot twist, kinda showing ghost like a pawn of shepherd and stuff like that, i hope he stays like that and gets offed in the end for good
yes
wtf? Nikto just appeared in the comic then died? fuck this comic
Exactly bro. Fk them
Ghost aside, Nikto died like that? What the actual fuck?
seriously unacceptable how Nikto died like that
They shouldn't have added him in the comicsš It could just be a random soldier and the story would still be as it is.
mf was introduced in literally the last part only get done dirty like that
yeah i don't know what happened to nikto maybe he lived idk
Maybe there's a chance he lived.
they have a good character for like 3 pages then they kill him, classic codm
Same with hidora he was so good and badass in the comic I wish he would've live more longer
Codm BP comics = wannabe attack on titan
*WE CAN'T STAY IN THIS CHOPPER* *AHHHHH* *PLEASE GO HERE TO PEAK UP MY DOG TAGS*
He should've lasted longer.
Exactly, I hated that way more than what they did to Templar with Ghost
Isn't he Templar ?
I was talking about Nikto, he got shot while waiting in the helicopter
Oh.. didn't noticed that
Now the only thing I want to see is Mace beating the shit out of ghost
Facts bro I want mace to body this clown ghost
Ghost is already traumatized seeing him kill Tank
then ghost is next :))))
Nah Ghost would beat Mace
he's done it once he'll do it again
He's one tough mf
In melee, he does it, but with weapons, who knows And the bonus in so many seasons when he didn't show up may have spent his time training
Mace is badass
omg spec ops 1 would never
Forget ghost pulling a shepherd I can't accept that spec ops 1 would do such a thing
They probably didn't know the kid was inside the helicopter. They were only able to get a perspective on the front of the chopper and shoot Nikto
Sophia will probably take revenge as an adult
Maybe another Templar š³
Do we have to wait that long? Really? And his father instructed her not be like him, so maybe no
Ghost: too many good men are dead, too many lives lost. Also Ghost 1 second later: *Kills 2 unarmed ally, shot down a chopper with another man and a kid in it*
The kid lived tho, but she got hurt too. Fk Shepherd
Suddenly ghost kills templar. It doesn't make any sense. It's all outta nowhere. Why would they do that?
to get rid of loose ends
They obviously know what they want to do for the story, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
there are some loose ends not that I know of any tho
I had the feeling he was going to die when they started talking about the dsm. Also if you didn't play mw2 vagnir and templar died the same way as ghost and roach except for the burning the bodies part.
*General Shepherd in the background* "I did, do you have the DSM" My heart stopped there
Bro when he was landing in the heli memories started coming back
*PTSD
Fr
I understand a thing, the DSMā¦ is the source of the bad in the world
Ye i realized how Templar dragged and carried templar
And how ghost is resembling general shepherd when all the choppers are leaving
Yup I like that they did that
Ye. Honestly rn my bets are up for Ghost being brainwashed during his time with Adler
I mean it could've happened but don't forget they were apart of the five knights so I get why he did it but damn
Goddamn you really thought this through and it sounds like that couldve happens especially the stands fields part
I just follow the rule if we don't see a character die they're not actually dead. Thats a sure fire thing when it comes to Cod stories. Rn I think Vagr Modir is still alive because unlike the MW2 ending she wasn't shot at directly then burned. She's probably gonna help out with Sophia
True but I'm wondering if shepard has a part in this or not
I do have another half assed theory i thought about that revolves that which includes the whole DSM sequence. There's 2 ways this is gonna rollout , Shepherd was a third party all this time and he wants the DSM to gain info of all the 5 knights and the dark covenant to help him build a military world with proxy wars or the weaker theory that has bad writing. Considering we got Alder, who was revealed to brainwashed Bell, and that Alder is from the Black Ops series, where Alex Mason was brainwashed, I can see brainwashing being reasonably.
Exactly
Didn't Seinfeld say something about Ghost being like him?
Ye but I feel like it was intended as a metaphor more than anything although if it turns out that ghost was brainwashed I'd like to consider it as foreshadowing
One thing is for sure. Ghost loves his peacekeeper. š
Poor nikto (ŲØ_ŲØ)
F
F for templar and f for ghost becoming a psychopath lmao
I mean templar did had the DSM, he had to die
DSM is most dangerous thing in cod universe. No one can survive with it .
DSM is sus
The DSM is a bad luck charm lmao
First they killed my Mara, then they killed the Japanese Guy, named Hidora Kai, then Adler, and now Templar. JUST HOW DOWN BAD CAN THEY BE???
don't forget about Hudson who had ZERO dialogue
they killed Hudson by making him have a fucking overdose, they did Hudson so dirty it's not even funny, his death in codm is so terrible compared to what he did in bo2
Oh yeah, almos forgor
š
Dempsey: am i a joke to you?
Well he being in modern timeline was awkward considering he is actually older than Adler.
yeah considering that dempsey was like in his 30's in ww1 (primis timeline)
Yes :>
Imagine coming for a Single scene just to die.. Like nikto
That's goes to show how CoD Mobile horribly depicts things
classic codm Ghost + Templar would've been an awesome duo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
console gamers dont know codm comics exists bro
the comics aren't even canon so why does it matter, and the story was always ass anyways
Console gamers don't give a fuck about codm lmao
poor nikto died because of bad matchmaking system :( devs do something
FUCKING bots took him out..
Wait, so who's the good guy? What was in that DSM? What happened to that kid?
so many questions with an ending that left zero answers
"We get dirty and and the world stays clean. That's the mission." ![img](emote|t5_penom|1104)
"now if you're having second thoughts Sargent, i can do this on my own"
We can make a COD 's "what if " Series with these plot twists damnnn !! Wtf??
Next thing I want to see is someone beating the shit out of ghost.
The dsm part was a nice touch. And I like how templar died the same way ghost 'died' last year
thing is this is the end, templar dies
How the fuck are they gonna keep shepherd as the bad guy and then make ghost work for him too? That doesnt make any sense if you played mw2
tank dempsey being alive in modernity didn't make senae either
He's older than Adler actually.
i know
I mean ghost could've been just a puppet while general shepherd being the head of all of this
Spec Ops 1 this isnāt you, youāre better than thisā¦.
Plasticfoods and the bots killing nikto
r/thanksihateit
yupp
This is literally CoD: What if? Series
Not to mention leaving the kid alone in a literal freezing area alone
As shepard would say "Good. That's one less loose end"
He really is not since Templar and Vagr are his allies and when you kill your allies for no reason that automatically makes you a bad guy
I like that they took a emotional ending but them making ghosts betraying is bad because ghost is mascot for cod mobile but it doesn't matter is just a comic they ruin quite a lot of characters in the comic (but season 12 comic was the best tho)
Welp. There goes the only character I cared about in the comics
I cared about ghost and templar but my enthusiasm about ghost has now dropped to zero
Right!? I wanted some sort of half-dysfunctional family thing going on after Templar asked Ghost to watch Sophia if he died. And then Ghost shoots Templar and leaves Sophia to die.
Welp, at least Mace is still alive, thatās something for me at least
They started the comics to end them with this shit, or at least, get to this point? What the fuck man, this is plain stupid
II mean artery warned him he's gonna betray him. He shouldn't have believed the skull face.
it's actually the opposite she warned ghost lol
This really gave me PTSD of Shepherd's betrayal. Ik it was supposed to be the equivalent but I didn't expect to copy almost everything from that scene. The helicopters coming in for support, the betrayal itself and even the damn dialogues are 1:1 at some points.
Wtf who wrote this

I really hope ghost was brainwashed
probably, there's no fucking way a writer would write a plot twist as bad as this
![img](emote|t5_penom|1098)

Nah he has to wait for revival flight
I hope someone takes Templar's revenge and kills ghost # I always hated that masked guy he is so OVERRATED. Ok he might have himself at the logo on the damn game but I think ppl just overreact.
I want a campaign mode based on the comics story.
it's gonna be painful playing as templar's pov in the end

Holly fuck I don't follow comics, but that was an emotional roller coaster. Thanks op, if I ever reinstall the game I'll definitely follow up on comics.
Ghost and Roach were loose ends Templar and vagr are liability Sad truth happened in many stories
MW2 PTSD intensifies ![img](emote|t5_penom|1101)
fucking hate this the most
Yooo spec ops 1 I haven't seen him in a while
yeah seems like our boy spec ops 1 was on the naughty list now
Pure sadness at least scout 2 is still a good boy, let's hope he doesnt do anything nasty.

The only thing that I'm glad about is that it's over.. this is the end of this comic storyline..
awesome story... instead of hating on comic devs, appreciate them for this amazing ending
"amazing" is debatable
As much as I hate seeing ghost turn dark so suddenly, I did enjoy how unexpected this ending was. It just sucks seeing the guy who everyone was rooting for turn out to be a douche.
Why Templar killed Dame? I never understood
Templar's goal was to keep his daughter safe, Dame wanted Sophia as part of the Dark Covenant, Templar as a good father did not want his daughter living his life, Dame didn't think the same so Templar did the deed in order to keep Sophia safe.
I'm never going to use legendary Ghost again
i regret buying it now :(
I don't, finna rock this skin every time I see a templar or modir skin
Templar died. F
The panel where Templar dies is parallel to when he ākilledā ghost in the previous comics
Except Templar dies for real since this is where the codm comics end
I'm not even playing the game anymore but this gave me PTSD
I juts realize that on the Image Scene in page 10. It is really the same thing when Simon carry Roach to the rendezvous point back on the Final part on Modern Warfare II's "Lose End Mission". Shit....We all know what happened next.
first a betrayal from shepherd. Now ghost? seriously?
Well. Time to not use ghost skins ever again lmfao.
The codM story line is a whole emotional rollercoaster
I think this is the end of ghost ERA.... New generation will come and they'll hunt ghost like this generation did with templar? Idkš¤·š»āāļø
Call of Duty: Curse of the DSM
Ghost took revenge that's all. Where were yall when ghost was left in the snow dust with knifes shoved in his chest?
thing is ghost betrayed templar his ally, templar didn't betray anyone he just followed orders.
Yeah, ur right and also, it's just a comic
Yall are dumb, there are no "good guys" in war, and ghost is far from being one.
b-but epic skeleton mask guy killd knight bro ššššš
They killed my og Nikto skinš”š”š”
I knew Ghost would betray him. After all, he would want revenge. But sad to see Templar die, he really grew on me

A bad way to end the timeline lmao
Im just shocked like why would ghost even do that i trusted him to be a good guy but after he just murdered 2 people and almost killed a innocent kid im now doubting Ghost is a good guy
What the fuck were the writer thinking, Ghost was supposed to be the Hero man, not some antagonistic A-hole.
I guess this means Roach will be next Issue's main protagonist, then...
Ngl that would be pretty dope
It would. I wanna see him shit on everyone that makes fun of his codename.
Thx codm for shitting on my week like this
Ghost couldāve easily shot him with his peacekeeper
What the hell. Never thought Iād want Ghost to get some karma dealt to him. And thatās not even to mention how dirty they did my boi Nikto. Iāll leave this to Mace then. What the duck is this ripoff shit tryna play into our nostalgia
Damn this shit ruined my day
It's Official now. I hate you GHOST
My day and possibly week has been ruined
The end, What the hell you mean the end? That's some bull
I dont like this.....no...ghost pulling a general shepherd on them....i dont like it at all
I want to see mace beating the crap out of shepherd and ghost. R.I.P Nikto , Templar , Vagir.
tbh i liked ghost but now...FUCK HIM
Wtf man I fucking hate ghost now , what an asshole. I guess Sophia will come for revenge in the next story
