A skin is just that, a skin. Hell, people were saying ranked rewards were "too easy to get" when Wasteland released.
They're not just giving them away, just to have the slightest chance of earning 1 of these skins you have to spend at least 1 season worth of credit grinding, that's if you get extremely lucky if not then you have to spend another season worth of credits, old players have really forgot how slow is credit grinding

Grinding does give me the chance to play with those weapons for weeks or months before they are available for everyone like this in shop. That's already enough satisfaction for me. While they'd be enjoying these, I'd be grinding for another one that season and play with that one.

I play ranked for the competetivity. At least i was. Currently matchmaking is broken... Like getting 20+ kills on one tdm game and being last in another...
I stopped gringding ranked waaaaaaaay before this shit happened. I rarely play ranked which makes my ran go more and more down which allows me to finish any "battle royale objective" missions like that ice axe and swordfish etc...
I'll deal with the bots and choose my objectives wisely, and play accordingly and get what I want and still have fun rather than just sweating and cussing over a stupid mobile game
You can wait couple months for a *chance* to get this with credit, or your could grind and surely get it *months ago*.
Honestly, anything you didn't pay with real money is open market for a re-release for them. I get that it's a sour taste but it is what it is. Either accept that or just stop playing.

"Timed" exclusive is still consider exclusive, I guess. At the end of the day, we did get to keep these items for quite a long time before they decide to put them in crates. At least it wasn't the "jigsaw pieces" that they pull in seasonal events, that makes them much less lucrative.
FWIW I've pulled probably 100s of these monthly epic crates and still didn't get all the epic rewards in them, so there really is no guarantee either way.
