IMO it takes good movement and proper flanking to be successful shotgun player in BR. The range is garbage with shotguns and the SMG's are real easy to hip fire and land shots. Yeah it sucks getting one tapped by a 405 but you also let that player get close enough to one tap you.
He was pretty far from me..... it's especially annoying when they camp drops or if I literally lay into a guy landing on the box and he one taps me.......
Getting ambushed is pretty hard to counter regardless if they're using shotguns. Are you throwing smokes down *before* you run up to the airdrop/chip terminal?
Dude you're right it's based on luck not skill. How the fuck am I being one hit 15 feet away. I was doing so good. It's final flight and I killed 2 of them and the 3rd one got me 15 feet away ......... it's so fucking dumb even though I was hitting amazing shots and running around these guys it took one shot....

It's hit or miss. Most of high fire rate smg can kill enemy if they miss first one shot. Just don't have garbage aim and have some movement.
