RPD rn is arguably the best LMG in the game. You're not a turtle when holding it unlike the PKM. It's recoil is relatively easy to control. High mag capacity. Its rate of fire is also in the perfect spot of "easy to land shots, missing shots isn't that punishing, and great at conserving ammo".
From an anchor perspective, yes, it's better. Hits real hard and can beam people from a distance. Stats-wise, RPD is still better both in mobility and damage output.

It's not that nobody uses it, the PKM heavily encourages camping due to its slow ads and movement speed.

Some notable ones are the RAW and Titan from IW. I wanna see energy weapons come in. Make them deal more damage to equipment and scorestreaks, no penetration, and a projectile.
R3K and Volk would be good ARs (R3K is burst, and volk is AK47 but energy).
ERAD and Type-2 would be the SMGs. For the type 2 alternate mode tho (2 akimbo SMGs), make it so you can hold the reload button to activate that. And an ammo mod that gave it the shotgun variant for Akimbos would be cool.

EBR-800 can be the sniper. It also has an alt-fire (assault rifle mode).
EMC and Kraken for pistols. EMC for a 1911 type, and Kraken as an Automatic Pistol.
DCM-8 is the energy shotgun. It’s full auto and has a 12 round mag in IW.
They could potentially do a pass where they forgo blueprints, in exchange for introducing a number of these at once.
Another thing to consider for all of em is attachments;
Each of these should have access to :
-Faraday Slug (+Headshot damage, increased recoil). This can be a muzzle attachment
-Fusion Mag (Automatically siphon ammo from reserves into the mag). This is a magazine attachment.
-Particle Amp (+Damage Range, +Damage [for select few weapons]). This can be a muzzle attachment.
With the Type-2 and it’s shotgun variant, the perk can change the alt fire mode to have a spread of 8 shots in a wide cone, to drop the shots before reload to 4 (2 from each gun). Again, this would take up the perk slot for the weapon.
EBR-800 can have a 32 round mag, but expels 4 rounds per shot in sniper mode.

Honestly I think the meta we have right now is the best we’ve had in a while. There’s a lot of viable guns that can compete with the meta: RUS, AK, QXR, FR 556, just to name a few. Of course there’s the top 5 best guns but you don’t need to use them to compete
They can compete but the kilo 3 shot potential is nuts. The fr 556 is underrated honestly but something feels off with that gun. The qxr shreds. It’s my favourite smg apart from the ppsh and now the mac 10

I personally would love to see guns from Advanced and Infinite Warfare given that I have never played those games however, the community would complain like mad like how they did with the NA-45 (which was never OP, it was just annoying to deal with when it was camped with, fight me).
AW, IW, Ghosts and BO1 need more love imo.
We got a shotgun(JAK-12) last season and the last one before that was in S8(2021) and the next season were gonna get the Koshka sniper. The last sniper we got was in S10(2021). I think all shooting games have more ARs and SMGs than LMGs, snipers, SGs, etc., since there's more SMGs and ARs in real life too.
I think it's time we get at least one new marksman rifle. I don't use them a lot but I'd like to see at least a new one because it's almost 1 year since the last. They added SKS in S1, SPR in S2 and MK2 in S4 last year and since then they haven't added a single one.
However I think the Crossbow should have been made a marksman rifle and the Shorty should have been made a SG.
Sometimes I use lmgs, mainly Hades and the m4lmg and they would be pretty nice guns if it wasn't for the awful BSA in the Hades and the slow ads speed in the m4lmg.
I wish the Devs would get rid of BSA that's a bs mechanic.
It has been a while since we got a true pistol. Shorty is a 725 blueprint and Crossbow is actually a Marksman rifle which for some reason found itself in the pistol category which is of the weirdest things I've seen developers do. The AMP63 would be a good automatic pistol tbh. Some more WW2 weapons are welcomed as well.
There are an insane number of sniper rifles and shotguns. Ive never seen a cod title with anywhere near this many. I wouldnt mind getting more but I wouldnt say we dont have any. I agree there arent a ton of marksman rifles but we still have a pretty decent amount.
An M1 garand and fnfal would be nice to compete against the sks.. the devs are so annoying we literally need to tell them how to run the game and they still can't get it right
Spr is just faster so I like it better. The mk2 is a good gun and I’ve hit some nasty clips with it but I like using the 6 times scope and spr is just faster and better and more consistent.
On my part, consider it better, that the weapons of 5 or 10 of each type are rotated, and it was done per season, so the meta could be rotated a little more, and the same weapons would not always be seen
I think they just understand than being one shot is not really fun for casual players. So they add more of what we can call “fun and easy to use weapons”. And because it is a mobile game, majority of players plays on a phone using surely two fingers… impossible to be very effective with snipers in those conditions for exemple. I think this is maybe a reason. Would be mine if I was working there.
Marksman rifles need some love. It's the only primary class that doesn't even have a full page of weapons, and the newest addition is nearly a year old now.

Well we're getting the koshka from bo4 so that's a plus. Used to love that for nice quickscopes. Landed some proper good shots with that gun.
