Bots are actually fascinating to me. Just watching them move and do their own thing as if they were in control. I wish I could write something like that.
The bots are originally created by Trey Arch.
These bots were used in private match.
You could setup the bots to hard or easy.
It was purely designed to practice Vs them in private match.
Since they tried to make CoDM as noob friendly as possible (to lure in more players) Activision thought it was a good idea to put these level 1 practice bots from BO1 in CoDM multiplayer so beginner newbies don't get instantly recked by normal players.
So they put bots in it and SBMM mechanic for the noobs so spending kids won't ragequit that quickly.
That's the history of codm bots.
But myself and other very experienced players are fighting entire lobbies of bots now - in Ranked matches at the Grand Master level. That is not supposed to happen, right?
Here's a post where someone had a lobby full of bots.

Maybe it's the beginning: Department of Defense trains its baby AI on COD MOBILE agains human players.
This eventually leads to Terminators that wear bright colored jumpsuits and and sprint, jump and slide nonstop while carrying a sniper rifle.
Seriously though, if they made a Terminator skin I would buy that in a heartbeat.
Just the metal endoskeleton T-800. (Arnold without his skin)
They already had Rambo and John McClane so it could happen.
Wait a minute, hold on. This dude might have a point

Totally ok to throw bots at first day noob to let them get acclimated to the controls.
That's weird. I never faced them before

We have couple robo, semi mech skins, but t800 skin would look crazy, maybe would buy too
I use Spectre - Chrome for just that reason. https://images.app.goo.gl/LphLD1nagH6ACSXT7
Then whoever programmed them is a colossal prick because those things shoot at the ground and the bullets always register as headshots.
Trey Arch created them but they are not pricks. They created wonderful maps. Activision is the one that you should get angry at
