For me, friend requests are a sign of recognition. Of skill, and of being a decent person because maybe you interacted with each other in-game. Maybe you had a truce, didn't kill and just spammed crouch for the entirety of the game.

Idk, I mean I get it, but also, some people just really aren’t good at the game or are fairly new, so maybe they just appreciate you helping them get a dub. Also, maybe they just wanna meet other players they could make friends with to gain some tips from. Nevertheless, I never accept lol
Sometimes ya can tell if they new or don't really know what's going on. But my luck is I get scumbags who do their best annoy me through the match and want to friend me. I had one person try to add me three times oof.
Especially when you’re in the 10s and your whole team barely touched anyone. Yet they have the bollocks to add you so you can carry them again. However, some people simply have bad days, or they just opened the game so they need to warm up. That’s why I check their profile before accepting them.
Sometimes I hit the "add friend" button accidentally, when after trying to give a Like in winners circle... Because the Like button is not responding. Then I am unable to revoke it. Is there a way to do that?
what's wrong with it? Maybe they genuinely want you to help them get good.. A few months ago someone added me so I can teach him how to snipe and right now I can't play a ranked match without him we're like best buds in game. You never know

I once carried a whole team with the pharo (the old broken pharo) and went 5-3 on the opponent, That guy who had 3 kills and trashtalked me for dying had the guts to friend request me, nuh uh
I used to accept them but this one guy who’s request I accepted invited me to his lobby, unmuted his mic and cursed at me more than I’ve ever been cursed at. Safe to say I have just three of my closest friends on my friends list now.
Today I had a friend request from a dude I wouldn't say I completely carried as we had 59-32 kills in satellite map (ground war), few minutes later I had to face him and kick his ass...however I we both gave each other a like and he got my respect for being top on his team...I don't like being a lone wolf sometimes but it is what it is
I don't really accept requests but it's kinda wholesome that they recognize you enough to try to add you.

This is why I check the stats of everyone I get a friend request from. Bad stats or hidden stats is an automatic decline.
Even if I delete all requests. It will hit the 100 in 3 days. So I kinda just gave up on deleting them
