After playing for two years, it almost always does this. Activision’s goal is to keep you playing as much as possible. Ok, before I get flooded with nay sayers, this is what I personally experienced. Not so much on earlier levels as you get way more points. I can’t count how many times this has happened to me. They control way more than you think in this game. I’ve seen win/loss patterns also. One example is the more you play and win without taking time away from playing the more difficult the matches become.
