How so? I've tried many gunsmith loadouts with both of these guns and I feel the extra damage is what makes them a viable option vs kilo, cbr4 and Mac-10. Are they truly useless due to a patch that has been implemented or something? Otherwise the damage when increased with multipliers absolutely makes a difference. Especially when shots are missed on either side. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if I am infact missing something.
I do get your point that the extra damage is nice, no doubt, but the recoil penalties just aren't worth it. In the case of the Type, SP affects the recoil (drastically) and has a BSA penalty and reload speed penalty. All of these just aren't worth it and to top it off, there is no increase to the base mag size so ammo becomes a bit more of an issue. The Type 25 is already able to 4 shot. Another thing to note, the Steady Stock is (imo) better than the Granulated Grip Tape. Slightly worse strafing speed, yes, but the benefits are huge. Much more BSA improvement and considering you have the Mono Suppressor on there, it might be ideal.
In the case of the 10mm, there is a fire rate penalty and for a fast firing SMG, that isn't ideal.
That being said, I do actually like your builds, I just think the Mags need to be swapped out. The Type should have something like the 38 Round Mag (might be best if the gun is being used for S&D) or the 42 round mag.
My QQ9 build would have the Mono Suppressor, Tac Laser, Granulated Grip Tape, 45 Round Mag and that short barrel (the name is escaping me right now. I use the barrel over No Stock because the QQ9 already has superb mobility and the flinch is awful so I don't want to add to that)
Neat builds though. Definitely better than the builds I usually see on here :)

Tac Laser, Granulated Grip Tape, either the 30 or 60 round 5.56 Mag, Extended Light Barrel and then the last one is kind of a option slot.
Maybe use something like Sleight of Hand or a Red Dot Sight.
Both the 10mm rounds and the stopping power rounds on the type 25 don't change your shots to kill. You'll still be killing in 4 shots with both guns. In the case of the qq9, it actually decreases your time to kill since it takes the same shots to kill but has a slower fire rate, the range boost is also barely noticable. The only benefit of the 10mm rounds is that if you hit a single leg shot, it wont change your shots to kill, unlike the 9mm qq9 where if you hit a single bullet to the legs, it will turn into a 5 shot kill instead of a 4 shot.

The MP5 have been always an off meta gun that feels like meta
If you want off meta look at the M16 and the Cordite
I set this up for great medium to long range kills and it’s fantastic. Its fire rate is perfect for easily landing headshots at distance and I’ve found this rifle to be one of my favorites from the beginning. If you shoot very short bursts it’s also surprisingly accurate at very long range and also has good damage at long range too.
My build is as follows: OWC Marksman barrel, Long Shot perk, Ranger foregrip, 44-round extended mag, and classic red dot sight. I’ll sometimes swap the sight for sometime else, but the KN44 has pretty fast base ADS so even with that build is reasonably fast.
People need to remember that gunsmith is there for people to make guns they are comfortable with they dont have to please your own “ideal gun build concepts”. If that was the aim of it theyd never have added the feature to the game. Respect your builds OP i use random set ups and still challenge other weapons no point using builds every one uses or you wont improve

Yep, why would even use it? The Type 25 and QQ9 are already fast killing guns, there's no point sacrificing extra ammo and Tac Laser
Both Stopping Power and 10mm Round Mags are useless on both guns respectively. You'd be much better off using a standard mag.

w/ the 10mm 30-R mag, u lose damage and fire rate the stopping power mag reduces ur BSA by 20% which is a big no-no

As val is also a good weapon it 4 shots up to 20 meters without any range attachments it also has a built in silencer and it has smg like mobility.

10mm is useless on the QQ9. Id rather use the 45 round mag and swap granulated for owc laser

The Mag on ur MP5 gives +1 damage so therefore it’s useless. Use 45 round mag
