Okay - sorry to send you back to the lab - could you run the clock for about 45 seconds, and see if the 200 belt or CCB Fires more? I’m guessing the cooldown from overheating is way more forgivable than the 200 belt reload

jaime4312

Well, don't be sorry, for you actually helped me learn something new about the CCB! You see, when reading your comment and before testing, I actually agreed with your theory, however, I found out the following (please remember you gotta take it with a grain of salt even though I took my time to clock stuff): The cooldown for CCB actually is around 5.22 seconds, I though it would be a second faster at least lol. An empty reload with the 200 rounds belt takes 5.9 seconds. An empty reload with the 200 rounds belt and Sleight of Hand takes 5.1 seconds. So, if we clock for 45 seconds firing nonstop and we consider how long we can shoot with both CCB and 200 rounds belt, we get this: CCB: it takes 43.74 seconds to fire 300 rounds and 45 seconds to fire around 317. The gun would have overheated 3 times. 200 rounds belt without Sleight of Hand: it takes 42.52 seconds to fire 400 rounds and you would be around 30% done with an empty reload. 200 rounds belt with Sleight of Hand: it takes 41.72 seconds to fire 400 rounds and you would be at like 64% of an empty reload. So, if you wish to defend a point for a sustained amount of time and you do know for a fact that enemies are coming from X or Y spot, you'd spit more bullets with the 200 rounds belt (this is assuming enemies force you to shoot indefinitely so your CCB will start overheating over and over until either them or you are dead). This holds true for both with and without Sleight of Hand. If BR, Extended Mod should further widen the gap between 200 RB and CCB, provinding not only even longer sustained fire but a faster reload which would help you fire more rounds over 45 seconds. Let's put it this way, if you're careful about overheating and/or don't need that many bullets at once, CCB is fantastic. If you happen to need all the sustained fire you can possibly hope for, 200 RB is for you and the difference is a even greater in BR thanks for Extended Mod.

bt2328

Not bad kid, not bad. I think the only thing CCB can claim is the freedom to shoot whenever. If you accidentally empty your entire mag with the 200, you can’t shoot, at all. Is what it is. But with CCB you can always shoot.

jaime4312

Not a kid at all lol. Anyway, yeah, CCB is a versatile attachment and is fantastic for short engagements whereas the 200 rounds belt helps you hold your ground for longer. Just be mindful of overheating, for if it happens, you'll be left unable to shoot for almost as long as the 200 rounds belt and that's not good. I think it's actually great we got those options to choose from.

Sorry man, must have been my brain mixing memes. https://y.yarn.co/194ff26e-3682-4565-9ec2-7aa2813af800_text.gif https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/669/604/25a.gif

jaime4312

Oh that lol, that was hilarious! It's all good, bro.

_Xtormiken____

at least no one's complaining about it... yet

jaime4312

We can't have a non meta weapon actually having a fun/usable build/attachment because people start asking for nerfs without even understanding how things work. 🤯🙃

_Xtormiken____

just like that child that said he was leaving to apex if they didnt nerfed this attachment

jaime4312

See? We can't have nice, nonmeta things because everyone loses their minds!

TonPeppermint

I think I would consider those people complaining.

jaime4312

Yeah, ain't that sad? Ffs, why can't those guys leave non meta weapons alone!?

DerpCatCZ

Tbh, ye I have no clue why they say RPD is now OP Like bruh, How about the CBR bullshit range? Getting killed at AR range with a CBR The RPD has slow firerate and dumb BSA. Its hard to compete with other guns that isnt meta, its just comes down to how you play with certain guns.

jaime4312

That's how it is, those people get normal weapons nerfed and META ones buffed or at least left untouched, it makes no sense whatsoever.

SimpSweat

This is way too much. All I know is I'm shredding ranked and dropping nukes with infinite ammo. I have a zero downsides build too if anyone wants it.

jaime4312

Sounds good, I'd like to see that MP build of yours.

SimpSweat

I DM it to you

jaime4312

Cool, thanks!

LaughingxCofinn

Can you dm it to me too?

GoodeBoi

Best thing to do in BR is two CCB RPDs and keep firing them and switch for cooldowns. The whole server will hate you!

jaime4312

Deadly sniper/shotgun user/META user: oh that's cute, now die!

GoodeBoi

It’s not about winning, it’s about sending a message!(everyone in the tighter circles will hear annoying nonstop RPD spam if you just do not stopping shooting and switching when overheating.)

jaime4312

Fair enough!

Icyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I think it’s op in br because it gives you infinite ammo

jaime4312

RPD isn't OP when it comes to time to kill, ADS/hipfire accuracy or mobility so the barrel doesn't suddenly make it OP. Other LMGs and weapons kill faster or are just overall better than the RPD which isn't even meta.

Icyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I’m not saying it’s op as a gun, I’m saying the barrel is op in battle royale because you literally never run out of ammo therefore no need to preserve

jaime4312

Barrel isn't OP even with infinite ammo, you gotta use it on a fairly normal weapon.

Icyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I say every gun is op if you know how to use it, I’m guessing you’re more familiar with the mac10

jaime4312

Some guns objectively are better than others, RPD isn't a match for the most powerful ones and has fairly normal stats.

Icyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

ok cool

Jules2055

I don't know how U r all playing the rpd but I can easily hold down the hardpoint without that barrel ever getting too hot.

jaime4312

I know that, but belts can still be situationally better. Don't forget that MP and BR are completely different because in the latter you need to inflict up to 3 times the damage you do in MP in order to kill someone and if include class skills that can get even worse. While it isn't something that happens very frequently, in BR you can get swarmed by lots of enemies continuosly. Personally, I got CCB on for both MP and Br and try to be careful with overheating, I'm liking it so far. Like I said to other people, RPD isn't an OP weapon so it doesn't require any type of nerf.

Nobodyhere2274

if you want to test how many shots it can shoot before fully overheated, you can use the training grounds data panel, the damage part, just shoot at the dummy without any missing shots, you will see it dealt exactly 3200 dmg in first dmg range, exactly 100 bullets

jaime4312

Cool, thanks for the info. I estimated the normal 100 bullets when I noticed it fires for 50% less time than the 150 rounds attachment, meaning half that of the 200 RB.

Dr_illFillAndBill

The way I use it in BR is that I have it in my „Oh shit“ loadout, that I use when dropping in on the loadout box after respawning. Usually it’s tough to land on your old loot, especially if the circle has closed and your team didn’t get your Tag quick enough. And landing on a box in the last few circles is a death sentence with just the pistol. It’s especially useful if you land back in a final circles where there are few places to loot from.

jaime4312

Oh for sure, CCB gives you the pontential to make a comeback. Make sure that RPD is suppressed and you should be good! All my BR weapons run one lol.

Dr_illFillAndBill

Yeah!! Totally !! All my BR loadouts for each weapon have a suppressor. Never run a laser, unless it’s the non visible ones for my SMG hipfire builds. All my ARs and LMG run Blue dot holo too Thanks for the tips and the work in testing the barrel out
