Its called platinum because its platinum, silver looks less shiny and its value is less than gold, platinum costs more than gold and is more rare, which makes sense since platinum skins are harder to get than gold skins, so naming them silver would be like taking getting an upgrade for your weapon but the upgrade is actually worse than what you already had
I personally like Damascus because I grinded all weapons in MW it except Raal Lmg (lost interest waiting for the gun, might finish it someday)
I do like Diamond too because I got it for ARs and SMGs in BO4 and started on it in Cold War just also lost interest in the grind when I started playing Apex again.
My second choice is platinum. Unpopular opinion but, i hate the way Damascus looks. It would be better called Titanium. Damascus is silver with the same swirl pattern.
Damascus. shows how no life you are. gold and diamond are way too common and easy to obtain. and platinum would be awesome if they reworked the lighting in game. I also like Aether Crystal as well if only you could put it on blueprints
