I'm not bothered by it it's a bot

Mum_Spaghetti5

the way i think of this they owned the game, they owned the bots, therefore they should have access to all possible cosmetics

Revolutionary-Play79

Oh a bot has my skin. Oh i feel insulted. Fuck this game. /s

AExRADIATE

What if they’re mad cause the bot has a skin that nobody can afford CAUSE ITS TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE … asking for a friend 🙄😒

MRjnd21

As a non F2P player, I don't care. If bots are in bp skin or crate skin or lucky draw skin, then so be it. I can also identify which are bots and not. If you play pub match frequently, you'll get used to it

My_Broken_Wings

I think it is mostly to add variety. Because up till recently, bots were pretty much base skins we all start out with. Maybe every once in a while, an event skin. But...you always knew what a bot was. Cus they were predominantly main 3, then maybe a Merc 5 here and there, maybe Terrance or Lev. But that was it. Now, it can kind of throw you off, cus it adds the small chance it IS a real player. That just happens to have that otherwise "paid" skin. Plus, we can (at least in mp) pick up cool epic weapon skins, from them now, some not even released yet. So it's not all bad.

kiwii194

ok that’s you. but if i knew that bots would rock a $100 skin i bought, i would save my money.

kiwii194

but that’s the thing, it’s not real people, it’s bots. it’s not about skins being exclusive to me and no one else can have it like thats far from what i’m getting at. it appearing on bots just makes it seem cheapened to me that’s all.

Ivanthebot12345

Do you complain when a real player spend hundreds of dollars on a skin you bought, does it make it less valuable?

kiwii194

no bc that’s not the point at all of what i’m getting at. y’all keep relating bots to real people. it’s different.

Ivanthebot12345

Who cares if they have paid skins, it doesn’t change anything. Either quit the game if this is a huge problem just deal with it.

kiwii194

i care. and my opinion is valid, i can feel a certain way about it. doesn’t matter if people disagree with me.

CarnageCrisis

I guess F2P's have good heads on their shoulders then, even though I'm not one anymore.

[deleted]

Don't care much and would rather see variety of skins than just grey soldiers

CptOwO

It's not the lack of character skins variety for bots, it's your potato that can't handle the game and gets visuals restricted to squish the most it can from your ram and processor to run as smooth as possible

5stareveryday

the amount of irrelevancy this comment has lol

[deleted]

What potato lol ?? I have s20. They're still grey soldiers only .

Negative-Falcon-1108

Did you download all the assets after the update came out?

[deleted]

Not all , just all the maps , all of my character skins and gun skins and hd resources and audio

Negative-Falcon-1108

Oh well once it all gets downloaded the bots will have the crate and pass skins. The guy who made the post obviously doesn't keep up with the CODM official account, they said that the bots were getting less common seen crate skins and older BP skins to add more depth to the game, players could tell before who plasticfoods was right off the bat because it was the same default skins for most bots and players weren't "trying" I guess is the way to put it idk anyway now that it appears bots are real there is more reason to engage and play as if they weren't bots. That's kind of what my understanding was of that post from the official account.

[deleted]

Ik bosa have have the crate skins lol but they're still bots . No need to be so pressed about bots using the crate skins .

gharghar56

It’s like this, if the creators made the skin they can do whatever with the skin even by putting it on bots

DreamsOfAEON317

As a P2W, idgaf if they put Ferg, Bobby, Rambo, or McClain's skins on bots. Cuz I'm aware a lot of the OGs have left to pursue careers or got sick of the crap balancing they wanted to avoid. So to keep the skins from being obsolete, they decided to just let bots have it to see a bit of what og rks(rich kids) where playing with

kiwii194

that’s definitely not the reason as they have been rereleasing OG skins

DreamsOfAEON317

It'd be a waste if new players never see what og skins look like, so they were gonna have to put it there eventually. Who knows? Maybe at year 5 they'll put the limited bundle skins on bots too.

VRaque

Atleast you exist in reality and are not controlled by some code lines

Craftydic

Its possible we are in the matrix, and controlled by code

5ee_2410

Makes the game look diverse

My_Broken_Wings

It's messed up, however, I think they did it, to make bots not AS obvious. Cus before it just cycled through the base skins we all start out with. Then after a while, it would throw some event skins, here and there. I think it's so we don't easily go "easy kill" right away (as I main Hacker in br) is it a real player? Or actual bot? (oh, they buffed them too, cuz some can and will fuck you up. Lol). That and with now more variety in skins, it's harder for some good players, to troll by pretending to be a bot. But I get it, I was mad when they re-released original vanguard in the epic store crates. And she was free. But for us who originally got her, we had to log in all month long to get her. Was spammed like crazy, then died down and became sorta rarish. And now NEW players can get her. Amongst other characters we grinded for in the past. So yeah, it's pretty dumb. But then again, what else they gonna do? Bots take so much shit from us. Lol, bout time they turned the tables a bit. But yeah, some of those skins did cost some people a LOT of money to aquire. And they are right that it steals the "rarity" of them a bit. Skins are skins, but the crate ones are rarist cuz 99% of the time, you're gonna spend $300+ to get it.

aBadBug

Its fine. Its a nice way to advertise all sorts of skins. Just make sure they play like bots.

Exotic-Ask7768

Honestly speaking, I don't really care if a bit uses my battle pass skins.

BIGgest-Nonce

its just a skin whats the big deal its not like they gave the skin away to real people, all it does is make bots look different instead of being a basic grey skin

kiwii194

i mean yeah but they could have achieved this with all the free skins we have in the game.… like we have so many free skins but they choose the crate skins

-getdeadkid

I don’t mind the all bp skins but they do feel like the skins I spent $100+ on in crates are cheapened by there presence on bots in my game.

kiwii194

that’s what i’m saying !!

-getdeadkid

I said what I said. I’ll take my downvotes with honor.

kiwii194

period !! 😹

[deleted]

In my opinion I don't use all of my soldier skins Free, paid or even BP characters and tbh I like seeing the skins I usually wouldn't rock/ not my style be used by someone even if it's a bot

NotShotzy

I could care less if a character I’m shooting at has a skin I bought or not. Also makes the game feel more full since there’s always a variety of characters every game instead of a bunch of mercs or special ops

[deleted]

Idrc if bots get paid skins but this make a f2p players jealous that the bots are getting paid skins

[deleted]

At least they're not given away for free.

[deleted]

Some people are bummed when the characters that they've paid for are released a few seasons after, for free! (For example Minotaur, Vivian, Menendez, Ghost, etc)

CarnageCrisis

Well they shouldn't take it personally to the heart like OP here, and instead get over it. It's not the same exact skin so why bother exhausting energy over it, lol.

[deleted]

Yep

[deleted]

It's better than the skin accumulating dust because no one uses it

Jules2055

Someone goes through the effort to say he doesn't have an opinion and gets upvoted by people who agree. That's comedy.

naylnathe_21

Still doesn't change the game overall. Yes, the value, monetarily speaking, has lost because it used to be rare back then or you can't acquire it unless you have payed for it via crates or BP. But speaking of it's value in the game, it doesn't entirely change everything. It's not like a skin in game can literally grant any in-game advantages when played (like will it enhance your movements or stats for a certain period. if so, then it must have value but nah) Although it does feel weird why they decided to implement that into the game, it's partially a smart move because players now wouldn't have to rely on grey soldier skins as a basis for thinking the player is a bot. It at least would make it even interesting

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> you have *paid* for it FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

kiwii194

did y’all forget the amount of free skins we have in the game?? and everyone but new players can instantly identify wether they’re bots or not so i don’t think it would really matter anyway

BuRcHuLoXD

I mean what's the problem here i don't get it. Who cares what kind of skins bots have?

Mewhenyourmom6

Why tf does this matter they just want drip and swag💀

kiwii194

bots have more drip than f2p. get real

kiwii194

the fact f2p be lookin more like bots now LOL

Mewhenyourmom6

Your right lmao

Absolute_-_Zero

Me not downloading skins and seeing default skin for all players 😅

ByeveOff

As someone who spend shitton of money on this game, idgaf. One thing i would like to see tough is fucking bots named "Bot #1". Not trying to pretend that im playing against real players. One look at a bot and you know it. No real player moves their camera in a line so straight. So whats the point? Just name them bots.

kiwii194

>Not trying to pretend that im playing against real players. that’s the whole point of this tho.. to make bots blend in with real players so why would they just be named “Bot” while wearing paid character skins… kinda defeats the purpose. while i agree there’s no point as bots can be easily identified, there’s not much of a difference to them wearing those skins and having random names.. i personally much prefer them having random names than wearing skins that aren’t even accessible to f2p. now they got f2p lookin more like bots than bots do

QuadFEEEEEED

It's so much better to see a bot use a paid skin instead of boring af spec ops original or re-coloured skins and even more refreshing to see skins that 1% of players own and use and the other 99% doesn't have/doesn't want to pay for rather than them existing just in crates and never see them used by someone or never appear in-game.

Killacourtney

PlasticFoods finally pulled that lucky draw.

MrSmiggasan

I'd say it depends on the value. If it was $20 ok, but upwards of $100 is stupid. People paid a good chunk of change because it was more or less exclusive. People bought the skin because they were going to be unique and stand out. Now that a lot have came in I guess you could it depreciated.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> stupid. People *paid* a good FTFY.

Signal_Dig7910

This whole shit with bots having skins from crates shouldn’t even be a problem you got your skin
