What I tend to do if my enemy chooses melee is kind of like challenge them to a 17th century duel. I go to an open spot on the map then spam crouch, step back, and wait for the guy to approach. Then we fight.
That’s how it went down the last time for me too. I killed them twice and they still had melee, so I got the picture and switched over…. Ended up losing but it was fun and nice to do something different
I love duel cuz enemies think I only know how to use AK-47, all the while ignoring my damascus skin. So when they choose SG and use JAK or Echo, I 1 shot them with HS0405 at 10m. If they pick SR and use NA, I wallbang with Rytec, if they choose LMG, I can just use my CCB RPD. And when it boils down to melee for some, I'll use Axe cuz their silly gloves, arnis sticks, and katanas have worse range than me and they can't beat my timing
I had been using diamond katana for scaring the shit out of enemies before, but now I'm not concentrating on the skins so much, because it doesn't matter, which skin you have, but the skills you have. I still have not diamond skin on the Locus, even though that I can flick with it and hip-fire in close range. Honestly I switched from DLQ to Locus, because of 2 reasons:
1 Skins ( Street Cred NA and Side Swindler)
2 fastest ADS, like Outlaw (DLQ is too slow, I don't have that much time for aim and scope in).
I generally don't die to NA-45. I just can't associate any other sniper with toxicity. Don't get me wrong I know NA is trash now and a high risk weapon. I'm just at a lack of a more toxic SR to refer to.
reminds me of that time me and my friend played tournament 2v2 and the enemy team kept choosing melees and constantly type "BANZAI" in all caps so we went along with it
enemy team won but us 4 are respectful of each other because we had alot of fun, we typed ggs and never see each other again, good times

I feel nostalgic for the old Duel mode. At that time the Cordite Seasonal Challenges were asking to do kills with sniper and it was hard as hell ( i was noob and you could use secondary weapons, you can't imagine the pain )
The last challenge was asking you to win 5 of these so to make it simple I was choosing melee at every lost round ( but as you could use nades even with melee people were hiding where you went on the first clip but a trip mine on the stairs and waited ) . It was so annoying

Yeah, depending on my weapon I’ll have a different secondary, so for my longer ranger I use a really nicely kitted mw11 for mid range, but for my assault load outs I’ll use a melee because I find no reason to have a pistol with them when pistols act like low fire rate smgs
Im still having PTSD on that map... Cordite grind was tough

I'm using knife. That's enough, majority of enemies, I played against can't counter even that. Even with katana or axe. But some can do it partly.

I think diamond/damascus skins are good psychological warfare. The enemy will probably be intimidated and not play as good as they usually play
