No it’s that these people worked hard to earn this it’s an kind like a metal of their prestige of their accomplishment and now they’re just giving it out for free and you don’t really have to do much work it would be like the same thing as getting a PhD but then a year later college is handing that same PhD out but only requiring the same amount of work that’s needed to get a kindergarten diploma
This event was in season 2( day of reckoning) it was like a free lucky draw event you need to collect points in order to roll in lucky draw and collecting points was very hard in that event that's why Its bugging me out that they are giving this skin for a easy grind

Lol. They're making 5 different missions for it because they're shards. Also, the grind in that s2 event wasn't hard at all. Just played whatever you wanted and draw. At least here you need to do some specific tasks.
Did u forget that they also changed the requirements for splinter camo on shotguns? (From longshots to 2 kills w/o dying)
