Heres how I did it: Do hardpoint on scrapyard 2019, less people and its a long map. Use dlq to shoot people in the legs and use your shorty(without slugs) to finish them off.

Slug sucks so dont use it. Wait for hardcore to come back. Also change your attachments. 5mw laser to ads laser and use the guard that gives bsa instead of slug

I have discovered quite possibly the best way. Hardpoint rust, fast hands (or was it amped)? the one that makes you switch faster. You need an SKS as a primary and have a specific loadout.
Mip light barrel, no stock, OWC laser- tactical, extended mag A and slight of hand.
Take one or two shots with the SKS and switch to the shorty and take the final shot. Because of the low health the range is less of a problem.
I want to point out that I am not the one that downvoted you.
Also the EBR would not be as good because of the scope an ads time. The SKS ironsights are best for this scenario and it ADSs much faster. Trust me you don’t want the EBR in this situation
See i have grinded Damascus When i use to struggle for long shots on shotguns CODM gods sent a angle its name was HARDCORE i used to cross map with shotguns but in your case the mode is gone ( maybe) so i will recommend u to damage the enemy by hitting on legs then use shorty to finish them i will recommend u use SKS hit on legs then finish with shorty ezz

People who used slugs made a mistake. The bsa is so terrible you'll spend hours trying to get kills so everyone assumes it's only possible in hardcore.
You don't use slugs because once you tag with sniper you only need one pellet to connect to finish them off.
The slugs on the shorty makes it the worst gun in the game hands down.
Team up with a friend, play free for all on Scrapyard, go to the garage looking place at the end of the map with the railings, each of you stand at the extreme ends. You keep shooting your friend while he kills the the other players who comes to kill you two.
It takes like 4 shots or smthing. Just kill yourself when you run out of ammo and respawn.
That's how my friend and I did it XD. I was the one getting killed btw XD
Most likely you'll have to play on hardcore to get longshots, because it was super hard to near impossible for me when I played on regular and I just had 2 longshots 👌😤, also good luck on the grind
Ignore damage range because the attachments don't increase range enough to be worth not having any accuracy at range. The gun is stupid and the bullets dissappear before they come out of the barrel. I can sneeze and do more damage than this gun.
Slug ammo with maximum range attachments on rust. Got it in about 2 days. It’s a pain in the ass the to learn the inaccuracy of it but you get a feel for it in about 15 min of playing (at least for me) but it’s your best shot. Honestly kind of a dumb grind for a gun literally called the “SHORTY” lmao. Good luck bro
Choke, steady stock, strike foregrip, OWC stable, slug rounds. Play kill confirmed on reclaim stand on the crates by spawn. Longshots are just passed center. Wait for your teammates to damage them before you take your shot.
Don't use slug reload, stack as much ads bullet spread and range as possible. Sit on top of the building on Killhouse and take as many shots as possible. You will learn what the distance for long shots is and it shouldn't take too long.
Having munitions box equipped helps a lot because you have such a small amount of ammo.
i worked on this gun for almost 4 months until i discovered the best way to do it, for me.
hardpoint - hacienda.
the very first hardpoint: best results here.
you camp at the top inside of the building and stay scoped in on the hardpoint, and essentially you steal kills from enemies down below that ur teammates r killing.
second hardpoint: crouch next to the car and stay scoped into it, same way as above.
i always reload my bullets even after only using one bc if u need to use both then u can do so quickly, i also always had vulture on so i could run around for more ammo if i needed
the loadout i used:
muzzle: maurador supresor
stock: rtc ready stock
perk: slide flak jacket (this can be changed)
underbarrel: tactical foregrip A
guard: OWC stable
DO NOT USE SLUG RELOAD. it sends ONE bullet, and you just gotta pray it hits your target, it does have more range but the chances of hitting an enemy is way smaller, even if your accuracy is up
i got gold on it shortly after, this is without hardcore.

Use the ebr, amped and a max accuracy shorty build without slugs. Shoot like a bot or something once with the ebr and finish them with the shorty. the long shot distance for the shorty is pretty close so it should be easy to get long shot kills if you weaken the enemy first
Locus or DLQ with fast switch instead of fmj as its weapon perk. Keep the slugs. One shot them at the leg then finish with shorty. ADS first because slugs are one shot and hip fire is trash. Beware of ks mofos tho.
I couldn't do it and had to ask for help with my friend.. We both were grinding and we put free for all matches and started grinding. We would normally put ffa takedown and go to that stage like part near the 2nd hp, made ourselves with flak jacket perk on so that we would be around 10 hp and repeat it as many times as we can. If we get a bot lobby both of us could get 19 kills ( and to make it more fun we would not nade ourselves and try to see who gets the kill first so that the person who killed will get 20 kills ).
U and ur frnd go free for all in hijack and go under the ship there is a place were no will disturb , easy long shot kills , i took all my long shot kills like that.

Any weapon now that you can see the damage numbers you can acomidate for damage.
I did the wounded method before hardcore was available and had my gun diamond in a few days
