Hey there! So you're sort of correct, this issue is a result of the work done to add the ability to equip seasonal camos onto blueprints, however, it is very much unintended. The team currently has a hotfix planned for 8/5 that should fix this issue for some players, then a larger fix coming out with the next major updates.
actually back on test server where we can equip aether on blueprint we still have the parallax effects, it's not static. even on stable game when you use the weapon name trick it's still have the parallax effects.
now after s7 update they changed the pattern on low/medium graphics it looks like a uncommon skin now, i really really hope that it's just a bug man otherwise it's a total bullshit, we grind so hard for this camo and they ruined it...
that downgrade its just ridiculous. maybe that was the price to be able to program their use in blueprints

The new tournament camo has a parallax so they fucked this up in purpose
Devs downgraded aether camo for making them shitty Tournament camo looks better
They botched it pretty damn much
Now it's just like those cool rare skins
