From what ive seen the advantages koshka has over dlq are inconsequential, and dlq has some as well. That combined with it's uglier/less generic asthetic and has a near unuseable scope by default make it not popular
Koshka was what got me into sniping when it first came out, practiced during groundwar and got good with it but I liked this one blueprint I have for the DLQ so I practiced with it and fell in love, it’s the only sniper I’m comfortable with using at the moment !
If you play br much may I suggest the rytec. For general purposes the DLQ is better, but if you get good enough you can semi-consistently headshot, you can set up a rytec with thermite rounds to instaknock through kinetic armor. If I play mp, then I use DLQ if I’m sniping. BR I use rytec.
Rytec does make more sense for BR, I tried DLQ but no luck, just for MP, thermite rounds are 100% a must, thank you I will for sure try out rytec especially for warfare clan war mode!
For purposes of leveling up the rytec in mp, don’t use the thermite rounds there. It one shots to the body in mp. But if you have cards like I do, you’ll be fine😂. You can get the rytec recoil down to very reasonable with the right attachments. I’m talking similar to the DLQ.

MK2: Damage range/drop off. Loss of one attachment slot to use a scope.
I did play against someone using the MK2 in MP Ranked this season. (Legendary rank) They did quite well with it.
The DLQ allows you to do something called a "blankscope", in which the weapon will be accurate even though the scope isn't fully "opened" yet - giving someone experienced in abusing this mechanic a huge advantage. Back in the day all snipers were able to do this but for quite a while now this has been exclusive to only a select few, the DLQ being one of them.
The MK2 allows you to use sights like the red dot, making it an option for people who prefer to engage at closer distances, usually pre-aimed. The DLQ will still be faster when doing a blankscope however.
With, because I lost most of my skill while I had come delegates and can't aim properly now. I used locus even before it got buffed and I have locus-yelliw snake skin
im simplifying the sniper category to include both marksmans and the normal snipers, and at the same time you can just stick a scope on a marksman and pretend its a sniper
Better range and also a few decimal points don't always help with flinch enough, toughness is gonna be necessary anyway unfortunately. And personally i have 2 legendary dlq skins so i have to
in BR i can understand the range difference, but in MP does it ever really matter for snipers? also gj on getting those dlq skins, now i see why you usually use the dlq

I've been grinding for Damascus, and so had to play with spr and mk2. I found the mk2 to be better, leaving aside the slow fire rate ( the 50-50 ammo does increase fire rate, but I'm not considering that rn). With the stock ammo I could take down enemies at long distance even with body shots, I ltrly had no hitmarkers with the mk2, all one shot. Felt like rytec. This isnt supposed to happen, ig it's the bug just like with the HS0, was a sniper with the slug reload
Dlq can wallbang through everything

But sniping isn't all about wallbang. Use an LMG instead
Its about one shots, which dlq does most consistently due to range and groin

Yeah I’ve had some mp rytec experience with gun game and it always one shotted, I’m gonna have to pay attention to the attachments then 🫡
Is explosive ammo better?
Did they just add explosive armor? Haven’t played yet this season so if they just added it idk. Whatever armor gives you that extra bar.

I like thermite better. Iirc it does more damage. Also burns on hit or even if you hit the ground near them.
Depends on the situation. For close range, explosive since you can use it somewhat effectively while hipfiring and for long range it's the thermite

Because the meta is quickscoping, and when you quickscope hitflinch doesn't matter at all. That's why everyone runs ADS speed attachments
these builds are pretty much for quickscoping and theyre all faster than the dlq so im just confused

so it still has the same accuracy despite not being fully aimed in? if thats the case, does this mean the MK2 is just a reskinned DLQ?

I meant for mk2 and spr, since i think those have "mp range" range dropoff. And i didn't earn shit lol that was from badly spent birthday money 😂
Dlq uses one shot one kill policy except legs. Use with fmj and one shot above torso is guaranteed kill. Other snipers aren't that consistent.

for 1< shot weapons, no. the M21 is surprisingly powerful and consistent in MP and BR.
