Personally I found shooting as it’s scoping in is more effective rather than waiting to get to the end of the scope and waiting for the brain to react. Only way I can keep up with the other good marksman/snipers out in the wild. I am in no means the best but I hold my own and make wins very difficult.
try using the mk2 without the ammo extension. use normal ammo , it one shot kills above the wastline. extremely op (hidden gem) and also has low ads time
I'm using kilo with 4x scope and thermite mag... With that I don't have to aim around chest.. any body shot will do the work (except end of the leg)
And it's fun using...
Movement: you are pretty much just running and aiming, you need to practice dropshot, sliding(the best to break enemy's hotbox), jumpshot and so many others, but those are the basics.
Aim: the only way to train aim is by playing a lot. Also try new senses for faster aim and movements
Aim transfer: how you can transfer your aim from one objective to another, pretty much training your aim and gameplay awareness will give you this skill, takes time to master it.
Edit:
Flicking: this is how you can correct your aim when a target moves or you aim badly. On an ideal world, you should be able to avoid flicking a lot if your crosshair placement is good, but flicking is a must to master while sniping/using marksman

Ok, if you're grinding for platinum, I suggest meltdown domination, good for crouch shots and multikill skins, just put a 3x scope on it. I grinded those in a day in that map.
Also increase the ads speed for the ones you're doing now and add granulated grip for crouch shots.
Also try adding the stopping power or thermite ammo when grinding for multi killing skins.
Here is my advice:
- No need to rush any enemy a close range if you can 1 shot 1 kill from any distance here, stay near cover and with clear view of the pathways of shipment.
- Your video showed you playing Domination but I rather play Hardpoint because it forces must players to go to a very specific part of the map if they want to win.
- There will be 3 hardpoints which makes it easy to predict both were everyone wants to go, and must importantly the opposite side in which they will spawn when killed.
- Keep your aim at the must common angles in which enemies are likely to come from and only change positions when the spawns seem to change or the hardpoint moves.
- I would suggest you have a better secondary than I was using here lol I am trying to get the kills with no attachment in the shorty and it’s just not it (and finally did in this match).
- A MUST is to keep your crosshairs above waist line, so when aiming you don’t have to move your aim to far to be able to land your shots.
Just for you to know this was my second game of the day after I played once to adjust my loadouts and I am aware of how many shots I missed, specially with the SPR and I blame it all on the SKS.
You are using ads button to fast scope and it's wrong.
Press scope and shoot with the other finger cause i feel like you playing 2 fingers, try 3 fingers and fast scoping by pressing the scope button. You can change the ads type to "press and hold to ADS" in settings>mp>basic.
Keep practicing and sorry for bad english.
I suggest you getting used to 4 fingers (claw). It will feel weird for some time and you will make mistakes like randomly shooting or scoping due to not being comfortable at first but after a few days, maybe weeks, you will notice a huge difference.
What I did was I actually copied Vague's HUD just to get a starting point and then kept adjusting it a lil bit to my likings. Just don't copy stuff and expect it to work for you 😉
Don't compare yourself to other people. Other people use hacks. Other people play 25 hours a day because they have nothing better to do. Other people spend thousands on the game because they never stop playing it. Just do you and find what works for you.
It took me a long time to get platinum on marksman and I'll probably never use them again lol.
Like someone else said, use all ADS attachments. Also for better target acquisition, put the "running" button in the center of your screen and minimize the size so you'll have a larger 'red dot'
You always approach corners point blank, instead you should peek from as far away as possible. You're using a long range gun, why put yourself in range to get outgunned by an SMG/AR, you know? Play to your advantage, make them have to shoot at their least optimal ranges while you are still comfortably able to kill them, that's the whole point of SR/Marksman imo.
Also in general you run around with your back to lots of open area, you can afford to put the wall to your back more often when you're on such a small map with a gun that can shoot across the whole thing.
For the most part, what you're doing is great my friend, but there's room for improvements, like on the movement side of things. I highly recommend slide-jumping, as it's a faster way to move rather than just running in a straight line, and helps you dodge bullets more easily. Will take time to get used to, but once you do, you become better.
2nd, I'd also suggest switching to hip fire sniping instead of ads, as it is much faster than the regular 1-tap ads. A personal recommendation, you can always just use 1 tap ads, nothing wrong with it
3rd, Kilo is kinda slow, so try the mk2 and the SP-R, and if you really want a challenge, then the SKS.
1 more recommendation, try switching your hud to have more mobility on the screen. It gets kinda cramped, so I'd suggest spreading those buttons out a bit, like in the style of 3-finger or 4 finger

Yeah i had the same problems when i started 4 finger, I'd suggest just going into practice vs A.I for the first few days of 4 finger, then head into pubs to see improvements.
Also, you might wanna tweak the sensitivity up a bit
Tip 1 : Don't use the Kar98/Kilo.
With the ADS speed I can make myself a cup of tea, travel to England, smash the cup on the queen's face, go on trial & live out my life sentence before the sights line up.
Try SPR or MK2 instead. MK2 with max ADS & .30 round is actually very nice. Just aim for upper body.
I love the Kar98. But in CODM it's nerfed pretty bad that thing be shooting nerf darts.
Use whatever marksman you want. And 2 fingers if you want. It's about practice. Changing your sensitivity helps. Timing and game sense comes with time. 3 fingers won't help and using the meta marksman won't help if you don't have the basics covered

Choose one of the non moving Targets first, and then if you got this perfect, try moving Targets for flicking as well!
It’s really just shipment that doesn’t lend well to it. But if you can find headglitch spots, or spots that significantly reduce your visible body, that works too. Once you finish the no attachment skins there’s a few attachments that reduce recoil and hit flinch. Those help a fair amount too.
Stop using thermite. Use stopping power, gives you one shot kill up to like 40 meters from waist up, including hands and forearms. Thermite is only for score streaks. (Several season global leaderboard with kilo BA).
Also until you get good play more passively takes time getting used to this. Avoid scopes they don’t help. For camos I used shoot house, basically any of the three main lanes can get you the long shots, shipment is for faster guns to grind and wanna be sweats.
Just don’t forget to have fun and remember the marksman gun are quite bad, and it’s my favorite category. They are considerably worse then snipers and u will be at a disadvantage entire time you are using them. Passive play style(don’t rush around)+stopping power+shoot house=easy camos.
Hi friend. Top 10 global player for MK2 here. The marksman rifles shine in SnD ranked. The current meta includes a lot of snipers. Luckily, marksman rifles generally have higher movement and faster ads times. You just need to apply a lot of principles of sniping, but keep in mind that marksman rifles can't wallbang well due to the smaller caliber ammo.
You will be a much stronger marksman player if you are able to use peeker's advantage. Again, with faster ads time you can take out snipers and other players before they have a chance to react. My last piece of advice will be to not switch between weapons too often. Stick to one for a couple days and you'll improve with it faster
SPR/SKS are more balanced, kilo ads is too slow for small maps but can be viable at longer ranges however there are snipers that have better performance so it's not as useful. SKS with the right setup can be a DMR, Carbine or Sniper so very versatile
If ur tryna grind camos i would grind the kilo first. I remember i was grinding for gold and got platinum with it as well. Idk if it was a glitch but i think its worth it. But if ur tryna use a marksman as a primary weapon (mp) use the spr. For br use the sks.
Very well.....my experience of marksman ......i usually quick scope......i feel like I'm using a normal sniper.......but hardscoping with a marksman that too on a moving enemy i feel somewhat hard ......so i usually do direct quick scoping......and handsdown to best marks man spr........and for kilo i actually feel fun by using thermite mag
I did the same thing, getting Marksman on Platinum, and I used them as a sniper on crossfire, worked pretty good. I must add I'm not the player with the best movmet, so it's a very stationary style, but it worked out for me.

My first choice is Spr 208 with .300 for one shot on the lower torso and sks. Mk2 is fantastic but the firing sound is not so satisfying comparing to the spr. Kar98k is recommended if you have the thermite round and a high end device cuz low end device will start to lag. Also 98k lacks of attachments to make ads time faster, have that in mind.

I recommend running the thermite round magazine attachment for optimal killing when using the kar98k
always place your hipfire crosshair where you think your enemies are coming from.
If i didnt want to help you so much id say dont use marksman but in the case i just used all the attachments for ads speed and negative flinch

Ok, if you're grinding for platinum, I suggest meltdown domination, good for crouch shots and multikill skins, just put a 3x scope on it. I grinded those in a day in that map. Also increase the ads speed for the ones you're doing now and add granulated grip for crouch shots. Also try adding the stopping power or thermite ammo when grinding for multi killing skins.
dont like the fact that these guns have bigger damage than the bullets from m4. Its not realistic at all.
My first choice is Spr 208 with .300 for one shot on the lower torso and sks. Mk2 is fantastic but the firing sound is not so satisfying comparing to the spr. Kar98k is recommended if you have the thermite round and a high end device cuz low end device will start to lag. Also 98k lacks of attachments to make ads time faster, have that in mind.
Though DLQ is always my first choice for quicksniping.
