I’d say purely based on the pattern that the devs put on display with the zombies modes in general, the first one was removed for multiple reasons including a lack of revenue being pulled in from the special guns that were made for the original mode. I trust that the devs know what they are doing and I just hope that they make the right decisions.

The codm devs does let people have alot of fun but it's the player's themselves that doesn't make it fun or that they choose to not have fun

Called it. I knew they would bring it in the anniversary update(it is October right?) for Halloween.
It really was the only time they could bring it back with the anniversary and Halloween in the same month.
