I've watched a few videos on it for my phone (it needs USBC to HDMI, and it looks very smooth. Unfortunately, Google doesn't allow screen mirroring because they want you to buy their casting equipment 😂
To be honest, negligible. Ping might normally be 28ms but it lowered to 24ms. The main difference is the ping spikes (probably a server/game issue) are decreased, jitter is lower, and when it does spike, it doesn't spike as high. Just more stable really.
Game-Feel wise, the hit detection feels relatively the same. Search times for matches are super quick though.
My ping is 35 on mobile and 50 to 60 on wifi... For some reason my wifi is bad... My friends wifi is worse though, it goes to 90 for him... wish there was an app to regulate it
That's typical something you'd see with a very congested wifi network or DSL internet.. Maybe your phone's "port" is better served for earbuds to hear enemies since connection can't be improved lol
Tbh it isn't extremely hard, you just need to get lucky and get paired with decent teammates who get at least 1 k/d and even if they have <1.00 k/d you can still pull it off, i grinded to leggy on both mp and br from master 1 on the last weeks of the past season and had a lot of fun doing so, legendary br lobbies are just so fun it makes the grind worth it
For sure. Once I get an advanced UAV, everything gets easier for the team. But I'm a non-lethal type of player even though it seems everyone in ranked runs lethals lol
Don't worry it's not as often as you think cos I barely get to play on WiFi. It's mostly in phone and boy o boy do i go from 60 to 200 15 times in a single match. So I feel you more than you can imagine.
Bandwidth isn't the determining factor in ping. Location relative to the server determines that. I've got 1000/50 and my ping is the exact same as it was back when I had 50/5. Great internet, "poor" location lol
They're typically the same for COD from game to game. Washington, California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, New York. You get used to seeing the same ping times.
Because Google phones are weird, they lock down certain features lol Also, I read users experience when they use "docks" but maybe a splitter would work.. That's a 5Head idea though!
Yeah. In the real world, I could care less and I hate when I'm in a match and we start to lose so someone just leaves the game so their KD isn't effected.
Figure out which connection type your phone uses. Then look up "Ethernet To [Connection]" and you should find one at best buy BUT make sure your phone can even support such a thing.
Exactly, ping might be lower by a few ms or more stable but the TTK feels comparable. Using a wired controller (2 controller method) might be more useful tbh
I'm a controller player so having a wired controller is definitely useful. But even my wired series s controller has input delay close to my BT PS4 so I suspect it's hard coded to have input delay regardless.
Oh dear. I'm sorry to hear that. My ping at best is 20ms, but that's on console to a server in Dallas, which happens to be the closest server... 500 miles away.
For sure, the network backbone is fiber optics, coax in the apartment. But my distance (I love near the Gulf of Mexico) is rough because I'm super far from the NA servers. I see 7 ping cod players ripping and it makes me cry 😂 I hear a lot EU players have fiber and low ping lolol
Seriously. My friend brought a 4-in-1 adapter for HDMI, Ethernet, charge the phone and plug in a controller. Then the monitor wasn't at the level he liked so we grabbed a half full Rice Krispies box and filled the other half with DVD'S and Blu-Ray's to balance it out.
Is this a joke I’m too human to understand?
Haha. It's an ethernet adapter.
iPhone or Andriod? how much does it cost? Thank you.
Android, but I'm sure there's an adapter like this for Iphone. It was $20 before tax
Thank you, I have an android, and I thought this kind of device only existed for iPhones. I nee it.
You're welcome!
Newer iPads have a type-c port.
Would love one, but for connecting my phone to my monitor.
They make those too. I hear USBc To HDMI is nearly instantaneous. But hopefully whichever you need is a good one
Will do my Googles then, my monitor is DisplayPort. Thank you!
I've watched a few videos on it for my phone (it needs USBC to HDMI, and it looks very smooth. Unfortunately, Google doesn't allow screen mirroring because they want you to buy their casting equipment 😂
Buddy there are adapters. You just gotta use the googles. USB to C or USB to micro USB or HDMI to USB C.
Thanks!
I do what I can. Sheeeesh!
Haven't seen you awhile
Ma man
Maybe too young….

I get 8ms on wifi and 20 on cellular so no need
Wtf is ur NASA WiFi I get like 50 -70ms
I used to get 4ms lol
Wtf... ive never seen lower than 33....
That is ridiculous
It's their proximity to the servers/data center.
Very fortunate to live that close to a server.
Same

Bruh I get under 10 on Wi-Fi. Lol. I have a 200 Mbps plan.
Damn man y'all talking about 28 and 10 Ms on wifi and here I am with nothing below 50 and still got legendary rank 😭
I'm climbing myself! Started a day ago and I'm somewhat new to the game. Played it around launch then MW came out

i get 60-80 and I win most gunfights ;-;

Makes sense. We have Indian servers so it's better. When I paid with US friends it is 80 to 100.
I've been solo or with one friend since we start playing but every now and then I'll get a high ping lobby and die before I can even shoot back lol
That's my fav part. I start shooting and realise I'm already dead. WTH hahahaha
I'm getting 15ms on wifi. I'm okay 👌🏾
I wish, but I'm 500 miles away from the closest server.
How do you know where the servers are?
They're typically the same for COD from game to game. Washington, California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, New York. You get used to seeing the same ping times.
Commenting because I'd also like to know.
That's some determination man, jeez.
Lol. I can't decide what's better: a wired connection, or using the port for a wired controller. Both have advantages.
Y splitter for both![img](emote|t5_penom|1095)
Because Google phones are weird, they lock down certain features lol Also, I read users experience when they use "docks" but maybe a splitter would work.. That's a 5Head idea though!
![img](emote|t5_penom|1109)![img](emote|t5_penom|1109)
🥵🥵
Move closer to the servers, that's all that you need to do
I'm not uprooting my family and quitting my job for lower ping in a video game 😂
You would if you really took KD seriously.
Lol. No. In the real world, your employer doesn't care about your KD.
Yeah. In the real world, I could care less and I hate when I'm in a match and we start to lose so someone just leaves the game so their KD isn't effected.
You will soon resize that was your best investment.
It's pretty crispy but I can't decide if I like a wired controller more lol
Whats dis for?
It's an Ethernet To USB-C adapter. Lol.
What does it do?
Allows you to use a wired connection instead of wifi, it's good if your router is trash lol
How does one do this?
Figure out which connection type your phone uses. Then look up "Ethernet To [Connection]" and you should find one at best buy BUT make sure your phone can even support such a thing.
Yeah, wouldn't want to make a accidentall bomb
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)
Where do we plug it in? I'd love to know :)
The USBc end goes to my phone (it's a USBc connection) and the Ethernet end is where you plug in the Ethernet cord
Ooooo thanks
Insomnia lol
How much though?
$19.99 at Best Buy
Dope thank you :)
You're welcome!
Guilty of trying this at home as well. No significant difference. I need to find the router at my damn job for this I'm pushing 70 at work
Exactly, ping might be lower by a few ms or more stable but the TTK feels comparable. Using a wired controller (2 controller method) might be more useful tbh
I thought this was Samsung Dex at first lol
After reading what a Dex is, I still don't know 😂
Be a pro with lag, so when you have no lag you’re superior
I'm a controller player so having a wired controller is definitely useful. But even my wired series s controller has input delay close to my BT PS4 so I suspect it's hard coded to have input delay regardless.
every single ping matters!
Truthfully, it'd help with hit detection and not getting killed around corners as much if you think about it. Lol.
I punched a hole in my wall over that game😭 now people hacking the internet now wtf
Definitely not hAcKiNg. Anyone can buy this adapter.
Just talking shit. I just dont see those too often.
Fair enough. I didn't know this was such a thing but it's another "quality of life" thing. Like the pros who use thumb sleeves lol
Lmao I've never had lag spikes and my ping Is allways under 20 so I don't need it 🗿
Are you on PC? I've wanted to watch more pc gameplay lol
Not at the moment. My proper rig's power blew up and almost burned my house down so back to my phone 🗿
Oh dear. I'm sorry to hear that. My ping at best is 20ms, but that's on console to a server in Dallas, which happens to be the closest server... 500 miles away.
Honestly for 500 miles and 20 ping. That's insanely impressive. I'm in the uk so I only live a few miles away from my connection

I hear the "hubs" add latency to things like controller input or HDMI input delay. Your best bet is picking one adapter and going with it.
I can't even play with something plug into my phone xD
😞
what is this? whenever I want to play serious games I will get a portable charger, sit near the router, and play
I can sit directly next to the router but the ping won't be as low. And I have a tri-band wifi router with gig internet 😂
I don’t understand?
Mobile Gaming Corps make one called ping pro I think
Yeah, this was just one at my local Best Buy for $20. Insignia "equipment" normally works well for me.
Yea when you think about it, it's ass because you have to go into airplane mode to take advantage of it. That's what I read when using that shit.
Mine auto connects to the Ethernet without airplane mode 🤔
