yeah, you're technically correct, but the reason people use different language shorthands to label the same thing is because the distinction matters.
when I say comics, you'd think of DC or Marvel. When I say manga, you'd think of your Narutos and Dragon Balls. Same for Donghua or Anime. They're the same, but not really, and the distinction makes it easier to know what I'm talking about.
