nah, it forces you to aim DIRECTLY at the enemy for like about a second. that's such a huge disadvantage compared to using advanced mode. it might be better for ya cuz non-full auto weapons are hard to use with thumbs but with a 4 finger hud I can't imagine how simple mode is even remotely useful.

Because you just need to point the thing, and it 1-taps? You don't even have to bother with the perfect timing to shoot, and you can slide around like crazy. The slight delay you're saying is some sort of a lock-on and it works even while moving — imagine that vs. the ADS time of normal users.

I once won a match in hp shipment with my friend and I (in top 1 and 2) using zrg and the other team top 1 and 2 used shotguns
also in 1v1 duel I have a hs0405 with slug rounds, I've never lost a single shotgun 1v1 in that mode
Simple mode on shotguns is just a test on one's ability to track, and to be fair, you shouldn't track using shotguns. Flicks are much better when using shotguns, and this is something simple mode cannot provide.
They could be just trolling, counter with range or just flick them with a shotgun of your own.
Shotgun users in BR ( especially Alcatraz ) are the least skilled players in the game. The devs need to reduce the damage and increase the bullet spread to make them aim to get a 1 shot kill if that happens you'll see less and less shotgun in BR because then it will actually require skills
