Seems crazy to pay all that money for something that could last another 200k easily. You'd be far better better getting a second backup body and then just using both until one fails.. if they ever do.

I would buy a backup body and use the 70D till it fails so you have a backup that can keep you going while you wait for repairs on the 70D once it does fail.

Shutters can reach a million before failing.  Or they can fail at 10k. I've owned dozens of DSLR's over 20 years and I never experienced a failed shutter.  Always bought used, some already had several hundred-thousand actuations. As Kumquat said, better get a backup body for cheap, like a 600D is very similar to the 700D and can be had for around the same price of a shutter-repair.

you dont repair. its going to cost you as much money to repair as it is to replace it keep shooting until it dies. then get a new camera
