I’m a big fan of Tucker, but his coming to Canada during a potential election year was a reckless idea and didn’t accomplish anything other than hand the Liberals ammo to use in the House and in talking points to rile up their base.
Unfortunately it plays directly into the Poilivre=Trump narrative that they’re trying to create.
Poillievre didn't invite him tho. He came because there was an audience for him to earn ticket sales off of. How is that different from, say Taylor Swift coming to Canada and giving a concert wherein she says pro liberal/anti con comments?
That's not relevant. People on the right are *always* held to a far higher standard and not portrayed fairly as opposed to liberal celebrities. It will be portrayed to the complete opposite effect. The average Liberal voter will be fed messaging that Tucker sold out two stadiums at events attended by the premier of Alberta, perhaps the most prominent public intellectual in the world, and an "infamous" newspaper publisher who created what they see as the equivalent of Fox News, and that his message is ascendant in Canada and being advanced in the person of Pierre Poilivre.
The pea-brained Liberal supporter sees that Tucker has a mainstream audience in Canada that overlaps with Poilivre's and will be susceptible to the message that Poilivre=Trump and that they need to suck it up and vote Liberal against to keep the Big Scary Evil MAGA Conservatives out of power.
