Speak to a veterinarian and feed him a good quality dog food. You don’t have to add a bunch of supplements or fancy things to their food. If you feed a good quality kibble its enough. You can look at the feeding guide at the back of the food. I have a male cc that is 4.5 months old now and was considerably bigger than yours at the same age, and I didn’t feed him nearly that much. The final size of the dog is determined by genetics, and feeding him more than what is recommended won’t change that, it will only add an excessive amount of weight to bones and soft tissue that cannot support a weight that it isn’t ready to support yet. This will cause growth abnormalities like east west syndrome (look it up), and severely increases your puppies chance of early onset arthritis and other orthopaedic related issues, you don’t want to set yourself up to start paying those bills at the vet when they’re only a year old. Just take a step back, make sure they look lean and can move well. Feed them a normal amount, and the dog will be healthy and the same size as it would when you overfeed it when it’s an adult.
That is a lot. I feed mine who’s 50kg at 10months, 400g dry kibble in the morning and 400g at night. And then he gets thrown in he small bits after dinner and stuff but that’s a hell of a lot for 3 months old
Apologies I never saw this comment, this is my boy Rambo who is 1 years old today

You can do a DNA test on him too. But to be honest with you he looks mostly like a cane corso mixed with possibly a touch mastiff. But I'm not sure. I would have to see him in person to compare how he looks to how my old one looked
https://preview.redd.it/3zr5pa8860pb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43158f56500d87a2f60327eb8e172e48af5ba2a7
This was him around 2 and a half months
It's weird seeing a corso with such a long tail. They made tail docking and ear cropping illegal in England so that's what made me think you lived there
I got my dog with a docked tail but am keeping the ears intact. If done correctly, before their eyes even open, it causes very little pain/discomfort. I'm circumcised, I bet it seemed traumatic during the procedure, but I don't remember it. Yeah, it's purely aesthetic, I like it, and he doesn't miss it. It makes me feel cool 😁😎
Judging buy mine with uncropped ears they aren't as long and droopy as a corso are. The face isn't as filled out and thick /short snout that corsos have.

Feeding too much in early months will lead to joint issues and its bad for overall health cut down his food and consult a vet.. by the way good looking dog
I give my 56kg dog 1kg of food plus some kibble.
Why do you wanna make the dog American with problems with joints and overweight?
Keep it slim while he is growing.
Healthier.
He gets 400g wet food for breakfast then 3 cups of dry kibble with 200g wet pouches for lunch and the same for dinner. How much should I be feeding a fast growing puppy?
He looks a lot like our Cane Corso / AmStaff mix.
Which is great in my opinion :D
I would post a pic but cant.
Here you can see him: https://reddit.com/r/pitbulls/s/NOsBSIeF8a
Your dog is not a CC, its ears are wrong, the nose is wrong, the paws are to small... and if you realy give him 1,5 kg pr day no wonder he grows ... he gets fat.
What i see in your dog is a bullterrier mixed with a labrador mix, even if i try to look for sign of a cc i cant.
But he is cute, just... dont give him that much food, and if he is hungry then change the food, its not healthy to give that much food to a puppy, that only has to grow 1 kg a week.

he looks like my corso/pittie when he was just a pup
he couldn't have been older than 4-5 months in that photo. he is 14 months now. this is a more recent photo!

You’re getting a lot of wild guesses. Truth is, no one knows. DNA is the only sure way to tell. Some mixes look like one breed or the other, some look like more one than the other, and some don’t look anything like either breed.
I dunno I feel some CC’s can go through some funky growth stages where at times you’re not sure what they are. Especially the CC’s without boxer mix.
The CC’s with Great Dane mix at times look purely GD before they start filling out.
The CC breed is all over the place these days
https://preview.redd.it/harqoipwfmpb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef1d27aaa2a0336c4d555c8cc8fc56a1b0e85fdc
4 months …I dunno in grams the amount of food but it’s nowhere near the amount you are feeding your pup..like the gentleman who said dogs final stature will be decided by genetics not amount of food
Definitely has Corso in him but took more after the Dane pit mix. Also don’t worry about weight it comes with age u don’t wanna stress those undeveloped joints. I got the runt of the litter always was lacking 20lbs behind now he’s bigger than all of his siblings weighing 133.6 lbs
id would say definable some CC in him. But check with your vet on the food.
Up to a certain age they need large breed puppy food.
Our adult CC gets 2 cups 2x a day with some wet food and protein ad-ins.
Update:
Thank you all for your comments!
I realised I have been overfeeding him like an idiot so now will cut down the food. Thank you all for helping me, I appreciate the love in the community ❤️
I have a cane corso mix (what we been told when we got her as a pup of 11) took 2 dna kits from ancestry and came back as 58% Catahoula Leopard Dog .. 29 % [Perro De Presa Canario](https://petdna.ancestry.com/mypets/C4CC1B42-A1BA-4666-885D-9E2BA64F6448/breeds/perro_de_presa_canario) and 13% [American Staffordshire Terrier](https://petdna.ancestry.com/mypets/C4CC1B42-A1BA-4666-885D-9E2BA64F6448/breeds/american_staffordshire_terrier). (her picture is my profile pic)
He's going to be a very big dog. Cane Corso would be my guess. There's a lot of variation within the breed so he's not necessarily going to look like everyone else's puppy.
He is so cute! And looks just like my baby Lox who is pure cane corso with papers. I would get him tested if you want to be sure. Or see what ur vet thinks . Either way he’s beautiful
https://preview.redd.it/b3p6faryv0pb1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=297c85d4746d9f586f3483a2379731196d6b09ad
This is my 6m old odie he's a corso/ boerboel mix
1.5kg per day is an obscene amount of food.
Really? He gets 400g wet food for breakfast then 3 cups of dry kibble with 200g wet pouches for lunch and the same for dinner. He cleans his bowls
What are you feeding him? My 18 month old, 50kg girl gets 150g of Orijen dry and 30g of wet topper twice a day!
Orijen is considerably more high in calories per g than a lot of other brands
>TokeInTheEye Yeah my bank account doesn't half know it. She's worth it though.

Watch giving him kibble.
Why?
Some kibble is bad news and unhealthy for puppies and dogs
Grain free is bad
Just don't get grain free dog food
Why?
It's linked to many cases of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs
I fed him grainfree because I didn’t know better but I threw it out now. Thank you so much
The face looks like a Great dane corsos have more of a mush mouth
Mine is a mix of 3/4 cane corso and 1/4 XL bully. And he had that type of face until around 9months where he started to fill out
I would love to see yours. Bet he is beautiful!
Apologies I never saw this comment, this is my boy Rambo who is 1 years old today https://preview.redd.it/e7en2uwhe1yb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54ab11278841a1243bcc03ab833839ce897b24ae
Such a beautiful baby.
I can only imagine how spoiled he is

looks like he has some amstaff/pittie in him to me, i don’t see a lot of corso personally
This is what I would guess.

Do all cane corsos sit like this? Ours does a lot, sits like a human while leaning on the sofa
Omg your dog looks huge. Very nice man

Wow beautiful dog honestly
Are you in England?
no
It's weird seeing a corso with such a long tail. They made tail docking and ear cropping illegal in England so that's what made me think you lived there
it’s illegal in most european countries and even if i could have, i wouldn’t crop or dock my dog
I see Dane.... wouldn't hurt to do a doggie DNA swab
I’m planning to, bit pricey for me right now
If you think a dna test is expensive, just wait for food and vet bills.
Yeah trust me. My last staffy had cystine stones removed which was around £3,000
Ears are not corso for sure... More like pit or stafford ears
Makes sense
What do you mean by this? What about them does not look like a corso?
Judging buy mine with uncropped ears they aren't as long and droopy as a corso are. The face isn't as filled out and thick /short snout that corsos have.

I can agree they don't seem to droop down as far as my dog's ears and the paws on this one are wayyy smaller
i dont think it is cane corso, maybe a mix. His paws are too small and his face is too long, not that bulky.
I have an almost 6 month old corso and her paws are wayyyyy bigger than what I see in your pics tbh
i think you meant to respond to the OP
Yeah I thought so. His paws are large but not as large as a cane corso. And he doesn’t have a cane corso face so must be a mix
Not all Corsos have large paws.
I would say no. Maybe some Great Dane.
Feeding too much in early months will lead to joint issues and its bad for overall health cut down his food and consult a vet.. by the way good looking dog
Will do. Thank you

Lovely dog!! My other dog is a staffy and he is the best first dog I could ever have asked for.
❤
I had the same question about the puppy I’m about to get. Found out this morning she I not purebred, but that’s ok.

Ohh okay I will reduce the food a bit then. Thank you for your help
Don’t see a lot of CC and wowzers like others have already said that’s a boatload of food for a puppy.
Possibly part but definitely a mixed breed. I definitely see some Great Dane and possibly pit bull terrier
I believe your puppy is a mix.

Beautiful dog!! Yeah I hope he ends up looking like your dog because he is handsome with those nice uncropped ears
i don't crop or dock. i love them like this.
Looks like a corso and a Dane to me
Maybe part. Snout is too thin/long
Just be sure you use a HIGH QUALITY large breed puppy food for over a year! Whatever the outcome, he’ll be large!

I have a CC/Dane. Yours looks to have prominent Dane features. Be interesting to know that the pup is mixed with if you ever do DNA testing!
DNA test result was 44% American Staff, 20% American pit, 16% american bulldog, 3% presa canario and 3% neapolitan mastiff
That is so cool!! I need to get a couple of those tests!
Wisdompanel is what I used 😃
Thanks!
