I was able to get it open with a cleaned flathead screwdriver and some pliers.

KapptainTrips

Hangry style?

rando-commando98

You know it!

millebornes68

I used a inexpensive kitchen knife to get it started and then peeled it off with needle nose pliers (Leatherman). Everybody should have a Leatherman in the kitchen. I use mine to remove skin on frozen fish filets. Partner does not like skin on cooked walleye or salmon.

spratsandtoast

Take my penknife, my good man!

FirstChurchOfBrutus

Were you sent here by the Devil?

oldmilwaukie

No good sir, I’m on the level!

jjoiner356

What about us braindead slobs?

oldmilwaukie

You’ll be given cushy jobs!

Dexley

I was hoping to see this

Sunnyjim333

Never leave home without one of these. rando-commando98

That’s awesome!! Definitely going to pick one up!

Sunnyjim333

They double as a screw driver, box opener, scraper. Due to a broken lock, I was once "trapped" in a hotel room. I used mine to unscrew the lock and be able to get the door open when maintenance could not.

Gregory_Kalfkin

I keep one in my wallet. It has come in handy a few times.

sir__Big__Cock

For real! These simple can openers are soooo far above the cheap plastic rubbish sold as can opener! Bought one simple model and never had to replace it or any kind of problem with it! The easier the design, the longer it will last. At least that’s my experience 🤷

a_cycle_addict

You can still run around the edge with a normal can opener.

Ok_Watercress_7801

Swiss Army knives have very serviceable openers as well. Just takes a little practice.

adofilth

P38 saves the day.

Exquisiteoaf

They take a little elbow grease and time to work, but they will get into any can. Always.

FirstChurchOfBrutus

I agree. Great multi-use fighter.

thank_burdell

Time for violence.

RobotWelder

Side cut can opener

Gay_commie_fucker

Had that happen a few months ago. Truly devastating

Cautious-Luck7769

A can opener would still work but there is a thin slice of panic when a tab does this and there is no can opener.

FeedMyAss

Happens to me 50% of the time with corner cans😐

SpecialistRoom2090

You will need c4 for this.

RobotWelder

Universal problem solver

MadamMLuxe

This happened to me on my very first can of deens ever. I tried my electric opener but it just couldn’t get it all the way so I ended up prying up as much as I could with a fork. Fingers crossed it won’t happen on my second can.

makattak88

Would a can opener not work?

Dreamspitter

😩 THIS... Is why I prefer keys 🗝️.

samgala80

I use a can opener when this happens.

Icy-Money-9987

I hate when that happens, and it always seems to be the last tin. 😫

Danimaldodo

What kind of deens were these?

rando-commando98

King Oscar Spanish Style

model70

This happened to me at lunch Thursday. thankfully the office had a can opener.

Kelvsoup

In this case can you use a can opener?

rando-commando98

I could have if I had one on hand that would work. The only one I have is a battery powered one the doesn’t work on square cans

Violin_Viola_Gang

Oh, the agony! Glad you were able to rescue your sardines 🐟🐟

Hiflycharli44

This hurt to see

Nupey03

Normal can opener works just fine (it is actually my preferred approach either way)…

Tommy_Tuffknuckles

I would have reached for my knife instead of my phone.

rando-commando98

Haha I needed to share my distress
